But if you take a walk through the hallways of Eton, you'll be so pleased to stumble into Mulholland & Sachs. Everything in the store is made in America, which wins immediately in my book. They have a beautiful selection of homewares, bridal gifts and accessories/jewelry. While they carry items by artists and other small makers, they also have well known brands like Kate Spade. They also have gorgeous stationary and student/office accessories. It's also a monogram dream...for everything from monogram cheeseboards and other entertainment pieces. You can also do a wedding registry in the store! But what really impressed me was there customization selection. They can do lovely monogram accessories of all types on items like jewelry boxes, serving trays and more. In the back of the store, they also have a section to do custom pillows with Greek lettering. The fabric is super thick and the pillow is quality. OMG! If any of you know how hard it is find to sorority-licensed merchandise, you're likely gasping with excitement right now, too. Definitely will be stopping in again the next time I need an elegant gift for an engagement, wedding, sorority sister, or college student.

A one stop shop for all your gifting needs…read more Whether you're in search of the perfect holiday gift or hostess item, this gift boutique has you covered. I recently visited Ohio to see my cousin and was impressed by the Van Aken District. This food-hall/market space features a variety of eateries, a brewery, and local shops - including Luster. Here you can shop clothes, jewelry, household goods, toys, knickknacks and more. I snagged a few items, including some adorably shaped bird feeders for a friend and fridge magnets with photo frames. The store is decently priced, making it a no brainer when you're looking for a memorable gift.

This weekend I checked it out while waiting for my food order. AMBIANCE/INVENTORY: The store has two well-lit rooms with a variety of gifts. The assortment includes women's apparel, household goods, cute purses, knits, totes, coffee table books, skincare items, decor, kids toys, and everything in between. You can literally walk in and purchase everything on your Christmas list or shop for a certain someone. Talk about efficiency! Around Christmas, Luster has visual lists of gifts for certain people in your like on Instagram like "gift guide for travel" queen. This brings me back to the times we used to read magazines and find these lists there. The lists are very helpful! Year round, their website is very well organized and you can quickly find categories/gift personas. The gifts can also accommodate various budgets. Some items are as low as $12, plenty of options under $50. Apparel tends to be more pricey (around $60-200), and goes up to size L. I was hoping to find a gift bag or a box at Luster for an upcoming girls' Christmas gift exchange. I already have the gifts but need to package them. Surprisingly, the gift shop had no wrapping paper, boxes, bags, or anything for packaging. I was hoping for some unique designs and high quality. I feel like it would be a nice addition to any gifts purchased here. I also then found out that no other surrounding shops at Van Aken seem to have this based on a quick internet search. SERVICE: I didn't experience any service - no greeting and no offer of assistance. I found it quite impersonal. PARKING: There are multiple parking lots at Van Aken - surface lot and parking garage. I can see myself returning to shop for quick gifts in the future and utilizing gift lists. Next time I'll need more time to focus on the extensive inventory. Although to be honest, the lack of service during my visit would make me consider other boutiques around the area first.

I wandered in because the displays are so cute, I wanted to see all the treasure inside. Every nook and corner is packed with funky, colorful one-of-a-kind furniture and home goods you won't find anywhere else. A lot of the items are hand crafted or hand painted. The vibe is playful, and just whimsical. The store has multiple rooms inside with different themes and colors. One of my favorite parts of the shop is their collection of teapots and tea sets. You can find them all over the store. They have so much personality! It's like each piece has its own little story. Definitely the kind of thing that would instantly become a conversation starter in your home. If you're looking to host a tea party, you must browse this collection. There's also a bit of funky furniture like foot stools and arm chairs that are so playful! If you're looking to add a pop of color to your living room this is the place for you. Especially perfect for Alice in Wonderland themes! Fair warning: the prices are up there. This is definitely more of a "treat yourself" or "special gift" kind of place rather than everyday shopping. But to be honest, the creativity and quality of the pieces feel worth the splurge if you're looking for something truly special. A lot of pieces are one of a kind, so it makes all the sense. I had brief conversation with the owners and employees while walking through. They were so friendly and welcoming! If you're into bold design, quirky details, and pieces that feel like art, this boutique is absolutely worth a visit. Even just walking through feels inspiring.

I ordered the arrangement on Friday morning to be delivered on Saturday to my mother and sister in law in memory of the death of my brother in law (son and brother). After discussion with my mother in law Saturday evening to my dismay Carol James Flowers called my mother in law's house prior to delivery which should NOT have occurred what are they thinking? They never even tried to deliver these flowers but instead gave my mother in law a call to determine if she would be home and they were just leaving the shop at 12:45 pm. Per the 1-800-flowers website the florist is NOT supposed to call the delivery location unless there is a problem with the delivery. The florist calling prior to even trying to do the delivery negates any surprise so if you don't care if the delivery of the flowers is a surprise or not give them a call. This phone call resulted in all the confusion being started and ultimately no flowers were acquired on Saturday. Carol James Flowers called my mother in law Saturday prior to leaving the shop to ensure they would be home. My mother in law stated they were just leaving the house and that she and my sister in law would pick them up instead. My mother in law had thought the delivery was at the same florist that delivered the flowers last year (Bedford Floral) so promptly went to this location which was closed upon arriving and waited an hour to finally give Carol James Flowers a call back to determine why the shop was not open. They then conveyed that my mother in law had gone to the wrong location and that they were closing. Needless to say they did not attempt to deliver or do anything to rectify this whole issue even though the website states "Please note that deliveries are typically made until 8PM in your recipient's time zone. Once we hear that your order has been delivered, we'll send a confirmation email. Remember to check your Promotion & Spam folders for emails on your Order & Delivery confirmations." Now my mother in law MAY get the flowers delivered on today but I will wait to hear and now can assume the flowers will be lacking their beauty because they have sat in a cooler for a prolonged period of time. I also paid for a delivery service that was NEVER done and did not result in the surprise delivery that I wanted when I ordered. Granted my mother in law went to the wrong location but this would have never even been a thought if Carol James Flowers just delivered the flowers and never called in the first place. The day was great on Saturday so they could have delivered and just left on my mother in laws front porch. I have ordered from the 1-800-flowers website before with no issue before. Hopefully these flowers will get delivered today. I will update this review along with a picture of the flowers after this has been done. Update (1:40 pm): mother in law called florist and florist stated they received some sort of communication from 1-800-Flowers stating the order was cancelled. This is different that what 1-800-flowers sent me when I emailed them the results of this order. 1-800-flowers sent me an email stating:"Dear Customer, Thank you for reaching out to us. We're very sorry your order did not meet expectations. We're fully committed to our 100% Smile Guarantee, and have scheduled a redelivery on 01/07/2019, at no additional cost to you. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and hope you'll let us deliver another smile for you soon! Sincerely,". Does something not jive in the communication? I think so and their 100% smile guarantee resulted in not a smile on my part or my mother in law's. At this point I just want to make sure I get 100% refund of $93.90.
