Bay Marine and Sturgeon Bay is an exceptionally fine facility and we appreciate, their concern and efficiency. We used to stay at Centerpoint every year, but we are now a dedicated customers of Bay Marine in Sturgeon Bay. Their facility is outstanding and the staff exceptionally great. In recent years this marina has waaaay expanded (i.e. added docks) and improved itself and is so beautiful. Michiganders know how to treat their waterfronts. This place fills up for events like Bayjammers, and during the ChicagoMac Race and HuronMac race, mostly enormous chicagoans (the sailboats, not the sailors.) It's truly a sight to behold with sailboats moored up so close to eachother you needn't break your stride to go from one to the other. (and, yeah, everybody's drunk on rum.) The marina is definitely a Go-To spot in Menominee (since there is no starbucks... calling all entrepreneurs...)

We booked the shortest cruise of the day because we couldn't predict the tolerance level of our children. We got to see several of the offshore islands and the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. The cost was very reasonable, especially with a mix of ages: $29 for adults, seniors $27, and only five bucks for children under 12! That was a really nice surprise. As it happened, we could have done a longer tour because everyone loved it. Each row of seats has a laminated map and a pair of binoculars, which are very handy. The boat was comfortable and they thought of pretty much everything.
