Signed up for service with Costco. Most recent services were much better than my previous experience with company. But I should have known better, a few months into reopening the service with them, they did the same thing as they did the first time. They mess with the billing and overcharge you. They don't have a phone number to call so the only way to deal with them is doing "chat", or email (which takes several days for a response). My most recent chat with them ended with them hanging up on me before I received any answer for my problems. Bay Area water delivery is very expensive or nonexistent. Service requested to replace 2 water coolers 3/11 due to regular cleaning but mold in unclean able area after 4+ years of renting. Service promised every single day to replace. 3/29, no one has come. "Customer service" is a joke. Email support responds with the same generic "dear 'valued' customer" response, provided customer service numbers have you wait on hold for 45 minutes to an hour before hanging up on you, if you do get an answer they also hang up. Communication 0/10, customer service 0/10, service request follow through 0/10, regularly scheduled delivery 0/10. Paying a lot for nothing. Not worth the trouble. I hate writing bad reviews because everyone is just trying to survive. However, I have had to cancel my plans two days in a row now waiting for the delivery, and still nothing. I live in a complex with tight building security that requires me to be here in person to buzz the driver in. Deliveries are scheduled in advance on a calendar provided by this company for every two weeks. My delivery was supposed to be yesterday. Our normal driver usually delivers in the morning. When he didn't get here, I called their customer service for a status. They said the delivery was on the way, and that they will request the driver call me with an ETA. 3 hours later, I called again because no one had called me with an ETA. Again, customer service said the delivery was on route. At 5pm, I called a third time, only to find out the whole route was cancelled for the day. Imagine you are a customer, waiting an entire day having rescheduled your plans to not receive the delivery that was scheduled by Alhambra in advance, with no notice, and three customer service calls telling you that it will be delivered. Okay, so you've wasted my entire day. Things happen, you didn't have the ability to let me know, not even last minute, maybe some emergency on your part. I can be empathetic. The app and customer service told me my delivery would happen the next day (today). I requested an ETA and a phone call so that I know the driver is on the way. I have again rescheduled my plans for the day to wait for the delivery a second day. I also requested that they please try to deliver in the morning since they missed yesterday. It is now afternoon. Still no delivery. I've called in to customer service, who tells me they have sent a message to the driver and to the branch. No one has called me. To add to the frustration, I just checked the app. My delivery went from "On the way" back down to "Almost ready", meaning it is no longer on the way. I called customer service again for a more accurate status. They told me it is still on the way today, and they have again messaged the branch. Two days of rescheduled plans to wait for this delivery that was scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance, on a calendar of recurring 2 week deliveries. No notice, no return phone calls, no respect for the customer's time. Only saving grace is that our regular delivery driver was super nice. When you call the support line, they sometimes just hang up, and other times will send out a request for a call from the branch--this never happens. Cannot deliver water with any consistency. I've been a customer with Alhambra for 6 years and the service level that started off great has dropped to non-existent at this point. My last successful water delivery (I mean it's a few water bottles dropped off at the front door accessible to the street) was in the beginning of November. It's now 6 weeks later, 7 supposed reschedules, with 3 customer service calls where they apologize profusely and say that they've escalated the issue and promise to make it right, but still no water. The most recent rep spoke to the regional manager (for SF), who said that everyone quit and he was the only person driving the truck so basically the entire service area is F'ed. But they keep posting delivery dates, sending emails, and leaving voicemail confirmations telling me that "your delivery is scheduled!" when the only thing they deliver is disappointment. UPDATE: the business response below from "Phelisha L." is the same copy/paste response that is used in all the other negative reviews -- they just choose from some list of names like "Michael P." or "Jose R.". There isn't any actual follow up communication, they're just responding to new reviews within 24 hours to make the Yelp algorithm happy. read more

For over a month, I have waited for (1) water to be delivered and (2) water cooler to be replaced. On four separate occasions, I took time out of my day to wait for someone to show up after being on hold for 60+ minutes numerous times during the week. No one arrives and there is no communication about it. Each person I spoke to through customer service has either promised that someone would arrive or have informed me that nothing can be done. I was told to bring my empty water bottles to the nearest Home Depot, but they also informed me that they haven't had their water replenished as well. I was told that due to labor issues (first it was a vehicular accident) that no one was available to deliver water. This past Monday, a (recently hired) representative came to my building to deliver water but I was scheduled (after being rescheduled for the fifth time) for this past Wednesday. I spoke to him and he confirmed that water would be delivered and my machine replaced. Wednesday arrived and I waited the entire day until I finally reached out to customer service and was told that there were no more water coolers available. In addition to that, they couldn't explain why I did not have my water replenished regardless of the cooler-situation. This has been an egregious, waste-of-time ordeal and I am frustrated by your services and your company's lack of communication regarding this issue.  This isn't the first time I have had to deal with unreliable and untrustworthy service from Primo Water, but it has never been this bad. I've been emailing and calling Alhambra to cancel my plan but after call, waiting over an hour on the phone EACH TIME to no avail, I'm still unable to cancel. They keep charging me too !!!!! Plus, they have so many different #s to call them and I've tried almost all of them. DO NOT USE ALHAMBRA SERVICE! Early last month, I called to request for a dispenser replacement because our old one was leaking. The customer service rep told me it will be delivered the following week. Nothing was delivered the following week so I called again, the customer service rep told me it's because the card payment detail they have on file has expired. So this time I gave my checking account details. The dispenser was later delivered. Today, Sept. 3, I received a letter dated Aug. 27th stating that it's a second notice for a past due account. So, I called again, this time, I was informed that the reason is to push the payment "manually"? I said I even clarified with the person I talked to last time if everything is okay. Multiple emails sent to customer service with no replies. calling is impossible, I have tried several times, each time on hold for over an hour, with nothing. one time just to see how long it could go, i was on hold for 2hours 45min. The following review may seem like a piece taken out of a comedy-tragedy playbook, but alas, it is a true story. We needed water delivery service to our office in Oakland, and thought that a name as big as Alhambra would be a safe choice to go with. Unfortunately, it was FAR from the case. The only way to stop service is by emailing them through their dedicated platform in order to start the cancellation process. Good luck everyone--it's IMPOSSIBLE to get to a representative. We emailed and called over 10 times. Each call attempt was met with being on hold for 1.5-2 hours, followed with NOT getting to speak to a representative. Since we couldn't get ahold of anyone, we simply stopped paying the fees and they stopped service. Fast forward several months, they send our "fees" to collections due to our late return of equipment despite countless emails and attempts to reach Alhambra personnel to arrange equipment return. The collection agency proceeds to tell us that since the fees have gone to collections, we will need to return the equipment to a special address. As ridiculous as this is, we ask for the address and the collection agency says they will get back to us with the information. How crazy is it that we have to handle our cancellation and return service through a collections agency because Alhambra can't pick up the phone or send an email? Needless to say, we weren't surprised in the least when we searched Alhambra Water on Yelp only see that all 4 local Alhambra locations have 1 Star ratings. I am not pleased with Alhambra water. This used to be a good, reliable company. Is there a new owner? It seems every time Kaiser Perm. Hospital or others go on strike we do not get our water. An Alhambra employee told me because of the Union. If one of their sister Union's go on strike Alhambra supports them. Then he apologized for the lack of water for weeks. This happened last year. I forgave them. This happens way too often to ignore now. Alhambra water is not cheap at all. Unfortunately, we are researching other water companies. We will probably just buy our own water filtration system. It's cheaper in the long run and I know we will have clean water to drink.
