The moment…read moreI stepped through the entrance after traveling by train from Vienna, I was instantly wowed by the beautiful spacious lobby with couches and chandeliers and water dispenser with orange slices for guests. Check-in was smooth, and I was assigned to Room 308. The 7am breakfast buffet here is complimentary, Pros: 1. Felt immersed in its beauty and luxury the moment I stepped in. 2. Complimentary 7am breakfast buffet. My favorites among the breakfast selections were perfectly jammy fried eggs, beef broth, smoked herring fillets, chia seed pudding, soft pretzel, blueberry yogurt, and this tiny cake with ridged edges that I forget the name of but I liked it. 3. Walking distance to pretty much just about everything I wanted to do in Prague, right in front of the Powder Tower, and just a few minutes away from the Astrological Clock Tower! 4. Walking distance from the Prague train station. 5. Even though the bathroom was kind of cramped, it was pristine and the shower was very nice and had a tub. 5. Had drinking water dispenser in the lobby 6. Great staff 7. Complimentary tea 8. Robes and slippers 9. Comfy bed 10. Clean and comfortable 11. Smooth check-in and check-out 12. They held my backpack after I checked out so that I could explore Prague some more until it was time for me to head to the airport. Cons: 1. Room was cramped and small 2. The mirror light in the bathroom could have been brighter 3. Could have had proper space to brew tea 4. The lockbox could have been on a lower shelf so that I (a petite woman) didn't have to jump up and see what I put in it.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and the decorations fit the hotel's architectural time frame. We loved all the fine porcelain dishes and crystal they used in the dining area. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. They had lattes, champagne, juices and coffee. Large selection of cheeses, meats, yogurt, fruit, soup, eggs, potatoes, sausages and pastries. Being gluten-free I was able to find many foods I could eat. We enjoyed watching people stroll on the streets while we ate our breakfast. I loved all the little subtle touches the staff provided. One morning a got a cute "Good morning" with my name written on the porcelain saucer. Literally made me day. The front desk was really good with recommendations for a lot of our needs. The hotel was also in a very convenient location. I would definitely recommend it and hope to stay here again.

I stayed here for 4 nights during my visit in July last summer…read more Great hotel, fairly new property therefore the construction & layout is modern, as is the decor, furnishings and bathrooms. Service was very good. No language problems. The front desk staff was very helpful during check-in process, held the luggage for me as I arrived several hours before the check-in time. They were great about explaining directions, metro/trams, made restaurant recommendations, etc. Ironing board & iron was provided promptly upon request. They have metro/tram tickets available for purchase, saves you the hassle of buying it at the station. Stamps also available for purchase and they mailed out my postcards for me. Room was quite spacious and very comfortable. It was facing the inside of the building (not towards the street) so I had no noise issues at night whatsoever. Black out curtains. Excellent bedding, SO comfortable & VERY clean! I slept really well during my stay here. Very effective air-conditioning (I was here during a heat wave... 97F!). Bathroom is modern, sufficient vanity space and extra shelves for toiletries. Very clean. Well maintained & great housekeeping service, leaving extra free water bottle and chocolate at night. Breakfast was included in my booking, decent selection of breads, meats, cheeses, eggs and fruits etc. These basics are usually what I look for in the morning, so I can't relate to people's complaints about limited choices. Location is simply perfect! Close to everything yet slightly tucked away on the side street. Not so much in the heart of the hustle & bustle that you get disturbed by loud street noise at night yet a short walk to everything major. Around the corner from the Opera & the Powder Tower, keep walking and you are in the Old Town Square in another few minutes. Walk another 10 minutes or so and you are the Charles Bridge. You can continue to walk through there and go over to St. Nicholas and then up to the Prague Castle. Both the Metro & trams are literally a block way, around the corner from the hotel. Past the Opera plenty of shops & restaurants. The two main stations, even for your international trains.....are just about a 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel. If you have heavy luggage the hotel can provide you a cab to go to the main station for a very nominal fee, I think I paid about $8. A small convenience store is a few doors down in case you need to get some toiletries etc. The company seems to have several locations in Europe. I stayed at one of their properties in Budapest, Hungary towards the end of my trip & that was an equally satisfying experience. Highly recommend this place & would stay here again in a heartbeat. Not to mention, great value for $$.

The a/c was not working because it was out of season, they said. It is a hotel you are paying money for your comfort. If they disclosed it, I missed it. The windows only open a few inches. The room is small so it gets very hot. The sun makes it really warm in the morning. The bed was lumpy. For me a bad mattress I take a star off. You need a good mattress for a good rest . The bathroom has a very high bath tub and narrow. Hard to get in and uncomfortable to stand. The tv froze all the time Breakfast was decent Staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. another thing that really surprised me is that it only has one emergency stairs. I was at room 516, at the other end of the hallway, so if there was an emergency I would have to go accross the whole hallway to reach the emergency exit . It is a good option, but there some issues.

Perfectly located just on the other side of the bridge (near Mala Strana side). There are beautiful views of the Charles Bridge from the room that is really quaintly decorated with a rustic chic vibe. 15 minute walk and you're in the heart of Old Town in front of the clock tower. The workers were super friendly and maid service was done fairly prompt each day (although one day, I snoozed too long and my room wasn't made that day). Definitely recommend this hotel!

I couldn't sleep a wink the entire night, it was like laying on a board. I complained to the hotel the next morning and asked for a mattress pad, which to their credit, they put on that day. Unfortunately that was not nearly enough. My back and shoulders (side sleeper) were a mess. They offered to move us to their sister hotel, but the reviews on that one had the same problem. We left 2 days early because we hadn't slept. They refused to refund us for the unused days. We paid for a service, which is to provide a comfortable place to sleep, and they did not even remotely provide that. Other issues: - The A/C ran all night, right over the bed, and sounded like a jet taking off, even ear plugs weren't sufficient. - The toilet seat just fell off! - The shower is a typical European hand wand with only a tiny glass barrier, so the whole (tiny) bathroom gets soaked when you try to shower. The shower is also in a raised tub that you have to climb into that is very slippery. I'm an athletic guy, and I had to be careful. This would be extremely dangerous for the elderly or infirm.

Staying in a building that is over 300 years old is amazing in itself, but staying in a building that has all the amenities & comforts you expect PLUS 5 star service, is a bonus. From check in to check out, we could not believe the value you get for your money here. One of the least expensive hotels I think I have ever stayed In, I could not believe what we walked in to. A "duplex" 2 bedroom suite with room for a family. The first true king size bed I have slept on in Europe (most are 2 twins pushed together) the best nights sleep I have had in 6 nights, followed by a full breakfast buffet included in the hotel price..... Patrik the head bellman is TRULY amazing. Helpful & would not let any of us touch our bags. He was very thorough in walking us through the nuances of our room, after they were able to have one of our 3 rooms ready to check in to at 11:30am! I DEFINITELY need to not only come back to Prague, but will will absolutely need to stay here again! Can not wait to bring my family with me.

But I left cash and all my credit cards, wide open in my suitcase and they were still there. So I felt like I should write a review on that alone. The staff here is super nice and our room had a bath tub and a shower with a rain overhead shower head with great water pressure and a heated towel rack. The hotel is dated, but as far as mid range hotels, this hotel did not disappoint. *A note about Yelp. If you see something on Yelp, Google it and make sure it is open. This review is a follow-up to my comments on June 6, 2020…read more On July 10, 2020, Juergen Stiegler, Front Office Manager, provided me with the documentation showing that the Radisson Blu Hotel issued a credit for the full amount on June 11th. I forwarded this documentation to Citibank on July 10th and asked them to check their records. On July 14th they acknowledge that this dispute has been resolved. I would like to thank Juergen for personally assisting in resolving this matter. Should you ever have an issue with your bill, I suggest getting Juergen to aid you. I would also like to thank the Yelp website which I believe provided the impetuous for getting this problem resolved. I repeat, my wife and I have never stayed at the hotel and we have no disparaging remarks about the facility. My comments were only geared to our problems in getting a refund.
