I have been to Alexie Nails 3 times. The first 2 visits were great and I got a nice pampered pedicure. However, pedicures here are extremely overpriced for a basic pedicure. The most recent time I went, I wish I would've gone somewhere else. My mom and I got standard pedicures and I had polish on my toes that needed to be removed. After the previous polish was removed, the male pedicurist was clipping my cuticles and nail beds (as per usual) -- BUT clipped the edges of my nails on my big toes and RIPPED the side of my nail bed out. I have had issues with ingrown toenails in the past, but I was not having an issue with ingrown nails at the time. I received this pedicure on Saturday (today is Thursday), and now I have TWO ingrown toenails because the nail bed he ripped is growing back wrong. I haven't had ingrown toenails in YEARS so I know they were directly caused by the pedicurist at Alexie Nails. I'm really sad because I use to love this place and I thought I had finally found "my" salon. Super bummed. Probably not coming back. read more

I got nicked several times by the nail tech and she kept saying it was nothing. Then I told her, "yeah there is something I felt pain" and she just scoffed. She spent the whole time quiet and annoyed by me, which I in turn became quiet and also got annoyed by her. It's a good looking place sure, but I didn't like my service. I'm not coming back. Went in for a fill and told them I needed to get them done before work. There were a couple nail techs and only one customer getting their nails done when I got there. Sat and waited. Another customer came in after me and they took her as a walk-in. No one acknowledged me and after sitting there waiting for over an hour I had to leave, they didn't update me on how much longer it was going to take or that I was next. Didn't even try to stop me from leaving visibly dissatisfied. Will never waste my time going here again. read more

Do NOT recommend Alexie Nails in Franklin. I've been growing my nails out for weeks because I normally get acrylics & wanted to use my natural nails. I showed the lady there a picture of what I wanted and she said my nails would be long enough to do dip. She filed them down pretty short, dipped them, and then filed them down again & rounded them out. None of them are the same shape or length. They're super short. The white tips are thick & not clean. My nails are bumpy. They're nothing like what I asked for. 30 minutes after I left, I called to ask if I could come back in and get them fixed & get acrylics on & the owner said yes. When I went back in, he had the lady that did them come back up to the counter and she stood there arguing with me saying my nails were that short when I came in. They weren't, they were much longer. Plus they don't even look good. Stood there arguing in tears and they said there was nothing they could/would do to fix them and that I should've said something while I was there. He said since I left it was not their problem anymore. Shitty way to treat a customer that has been going there for years and tipping $15+. I've never once complained about them cutting me & making me bleed almost every single time, not using clean tools, one of the younger girls is constantly on her phone in the middle of doing nails, one lady's husband hangs around the shop & sits there in a customer seat carrying a conversation (in English) while she's doing nails, they will stop in the middle of doing your nails to go eat/take a break, and their pedicure routine is inconsistent. read more

I went into Alexie Nails in Franklin to have my acrylic nails taken off after a wedding. There were only two people working - their greeting was almost non-existant. I waited for over an hour. The girl that waited on me was very rude and was very rough with my nail removal. I have had acrylics removed before and I understand that it can be painful, but this was beyond that. I felt like she was trying to make it hurt. I apologized to her several times because she seemed so annoyed with me. I will never go back there and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Received a pedicure today by the younger girl here (first time having her) & as soon as I put my feet in the water it was cold. I asked her if she could make it warmer, she felt it & said, " no because more cold water will just come out". 6 chairs being open, she didn't offer to move me to another chair. 5 minutes in, I moved the foot not being worked on out of the water because it was uncomfortable at that point. I asked again, "can we do something to make this warmer?" She said, " busy today, there is not enough hot water for all of the customers sometimes, sorry" I was clearly annoyed because I felt it was an easy fix. She did not file any part of my foot other than a single glide past my heels. I am leaving here straight for another nail salon in town. I have had many pedicures here & never had someone not do a good job, or be accommodating. Hit this place up once a month and shun my callused foot beasts. First, a pedi is $25 bones. Absolute worst experience in a nail place ever!! The older man that sits up front was the only nice, professional, one that did a good job! All the others did a rushed, horrible job! The younger girl had her phone sitting in her lap and the entire time she kept stopping and looking down at her phone, not paying a bit of attention to what she was doing, like she was watching a movie!!She butchered the shape of my nails that the only thing I can do is get a new set and this was the first fill on the set i just got! I ask 7 or 8 times to have a design painted on my big toe they kept saying later finally after 3.5 hrs being there waiting and having my fingernails totally butchered and watching people that came in an hour after me getting done I paid and left without the design and I will never ever go back there again!! And if anybody ask I will be sure to tell them how horrible it was!! I have never left a review good or bad before but when you are paying a lot of money for a service they should do a much better job and take a little more pride in what they do!! She watched videos on her phone while doing my pedicure, sat and talked to a friend while finishing up, barely scrubbed the bottoms of my feet or heels, and spent about 20 minutes total on me. Horribly unprofessional. I went to this nail spot 2 years ago & it was a bit better but it's really gone down hill. I received a pedicure it was on a Saturday & pretty busy but they rushed everything no massage no communication what so ever. Also the owners 2 year old son was running around & when she was painting my nails he put the cleaning bush on my leg (about walked out then) & my nail tech took the hot towel off my leg & wiped his hands... Definitely wasn't happy paying the full price. My sister got gel nails & they left color on her skin & on her cuticle therefore they will lift. I've attended this place on multiple occasions and have never had a positive experience. On one occasion, my cuticles were cut so closely that they were red and sore for days. The staff is often unprofessional, and, on one occasion, a man said "Get off the phone!" as my feet were soaking prior to a pedicure. I was talking quietly and was the only person in the room.
