Getting divorced is brutal. Working with Alexandra Geczi and her amazing team is not brutal. My two decade marriage ended in 2022. I had no intention of dragging out the divorce as long as the marriage. Texas family law is as frustrating as the power grid, so I needed someone who could get the job done and represent me. I wanted a lawyer who was a woman, intelligent, direct, and not too emotional. I did not need hugs, I needed a divorce. I interviewed several attorneys to represent me. Some were nice but weak, some were rage-filled and vengeful towards the spouse, and others made me wonder what some law schools are doing with their curriculum. Alex was nothing like other lawyers. Granted, she had completed law school and undergraduate studies like everyone else I had interviewed, but she was not interested in boasting about her accomplishments (which are impressive and lengthy). As I spoke to Alex, I realized that this was the lawyer who checked all of the boxes I required and many more. She did not approach the conversation like we were part of the 300 fighting off the Persians; instead, Alex respected the fact that I wanted to keep the experience as amicable as possible. I spoke with Alex before I retained her services, and she was exactly who I wanted to represent me: female, not man-hating, direct, and an aggressive advocate for her clients. She did not ask me stupid questions, and appreciated that I had done my homework before I spoke with her. I chose to vet her background before I retained Alex to see what other people had said about her legal prowess. I have yet to find a negative review of Alex's abilities as a lawyer. Everyone was complimentary, she had no issues previous or pending with the state bar, and had enough of a digital footprint that I also was able to see podcasts that included Alex talking about family law. I retained Alex's firm. That was the best decision I made in 2022. Her team is beyond amazing. Brandy has the precision and organization of a military commander. As Director of Operations, she ensures that everything flows as it should. She is prompt, efficient, and compassionate without being syrupy sweet. Katie may be one of the smartest humans on the planet. As a paralegal, she handled most of my case details. She is ruthlessly efficient, able to anticipate my questions before I know what they are, and moves paperwork through the glacially slow wheels of justice in the Dallas court system at a shockingly quick pace. Plus, she has a sense of humor, which is required when getting a divorce. If you do not laugh at some of the stuff encountered, you will cry all the time. From retainer to the "thanks for the memories" exit call, the process lasted about 5 months. The legal portion took less than four months from filing to final decree with the notarization stamp. I have friends who are still working through the process after years of issues. Alex, Brandy, and Katie were exceptionally clear when giving directions on what I needed to do, provided paperwork that needed to be signed in a very efficient manner, and always answered the emails I sent with little waiting by me. I emailed a lot, and those emails were full of questions, directions, and sarcasm. Each question was answered, directions followed, and sarcasm met with sarcasm, so we were evenly matched. I was able to keep the divorce amicable, and spent less time on the actual process than I did deciding to file for divorce. If I go through this hellscape again, and I hope I never do, I will call Alex. I cannot imagine anyone considering divorce using any other firm. read more

Alex and her team were God sent! They help me navigate through a difficult divorce with ease. Response time was outstanding considering how busy the team is. To be quite honest. I feel as if my needs were not fully met dealing with this firm. As a single mother I came here thinking I would receive compassion and understanding but to quite honest I just feel like I've dealt with being nickel and dimed for every single thing. I feel taken advantage of and stuck to be quite honest. My advice is if you say you're working for women, then do that. Stand by what your supposed mission is or change the way you present yourself. To me it's very misleading and just a tactic to lure in desperate women who really need help. I never ended up having anything resolved in my case fully & I also feel like I could've had what had been done finished elsewhere sooner. I know this because I consulted with two other lawyers, my best friend who's an attorney, & a close friend of mine who's sister is an attorney as well. I am a working professional and I know when I'm being bullshitted to be frank. These lawyers make a living off of your inability to find peace. It's sad. It's disgusting and I wish I never went this route. read more

This is the lawyer you need. She did the paperwork for us on an adult adoption for 299 when the lawyers in Waco wanted 2,000.00 for the same task! Further, all her work was letter perfect and accepted without correction or objection by the courts. Honest, helpful, fair. Great attorney. read more

While divorce is one of the top 5 most stressful life events, I can say that the team at Alexandra Geczi, PLLC managed to keep it at a minimum for me. They were so easy to work with, and truly understand the emotions we go through at a personal level. As a legal team, I truly feel they were able to get me taken care of, whether it be getting me a fair settlement or listening as I needed to come to terms with my new life changes. They go above and beyond and have a broad list of referrals to assist in setting up your new life. Some of the referrals were for tax and money management, insurance, movers, etc. They take a holistic approach and essentially hold your hand through the whole process. read more

If you are looking for a law firm to represent your best interests while helping you navigate through the confusion and fear that often comes with taking this monumental step in your life, then I highly recommend you reach out to Alexandra's (Alex's) office for a consultation. This was the best decision I could have made for myself and my family. Alex took the time to listen to my concerns and my ideal outcome sharing the mission of her practice and the strong aptitude of her team. Brandy guided me through the initial paperwork and was always there to discuss invoice questions; however, equally as important, she would send general divorce guidance on behalf of the firm at a time I needed it the most. Rodney - the true professional - and as great of an advocate to express words of encouragement and to make sure my emails and concerns were addressed in a timely manner. His attention to detail to make sure all correspondence was just right brought extreme value to me and my attorneys. Chad - my lead attorney - I couldn't have asked for better representation. Alex told me during the consultation that he was perfect for my case - and she wasn't wrong. He helped navigate the legalities keeping focused on our objectives providing legal advice every step of the way. This is an emotional time for all of us going through a divorce, so it is easy not to agree with your attorneys; however, even if I didn't agree, I continued to trust and asked questions. Chad was always available to make sure I understood the "why". He helped me reach a fair settlement that protected my interests while preserving my integrity. Katie's kind words when I was leaving the office after signing my final document gave me the sense of peace that I needed to walk through those doors. Following their advice and trusting in this team not only helped me to achieve my legal objectives, it brought me the closure that I sought to put this chapter behind me and to move on rebuilding my life. They all exceeded my expectations. read more

I am a professional colleague of Alexandra Geczi. We've had in depth conversations about how we approach and treat our clients and patients. I am impressed by her dedication and focus toward optimizing the results and settlements for her clients so they can have a solid foundation for the next phases of their lives. Alexandra is more than just a divorce lawyer--she is counselor and client advocate. I would recommend her highly to anyone going through one of life's most difficult situations. read more

I have never posted a negative review up until now. I used Alexandra Geczi in my complicated divorce. She made me feel like I could get more of 'what I deserved' and it only cost me in the long run with her. The amount that I ended up spending on her services far out weighed any little extra that she said I could get. Her office doesn't follow up and steers you to others that you have to pay separately. She claims she isn't an expert and that is when I should have known to go elsewhere. I would never recommend her or her office. read more

If you find yourself in need of a divorce lawyer, I totally recommend Alexandra Geczi PLLC. Yes, the entire experience (the situation not the firm/team) was annoying and aggravating especially at the beginning BUT EVERYONE on the team was helpful, supportive, and upfront about what to expect and were instrumental in getting me "out the other side". Chad handled my case and truth be told, I was skittish about working with a male lawyer under the circumstance (divorce) so I think that I unintentionally gave him much more pushback/attitude than he deserved. BUT Chad was always honest, patient and truthful. (He even came to mediation with a severe migraine and cold! So, yes, he cares about his clients.) While I hope that you don't need a divorce lawyer if you do, I would NOT hesitate to recommend Chad, Alexandra and the entire team. Be prepared to be frustrated at the process but listen to them and read the email information that they provide: they really do care and are working to get you the best possible resolution. Yes, you will still be annoyed at the process but take a deep breath, ask questions AND trust them. Alexandra Geczi PLLC will get you through. read more
