This Boots store is the largest in Clayton Square, it is opposite St John's Centre and a couple of…read moreminutes on foot away from Liverpool One and Liverpool Lime Street Station, it is a large store and is a good location within the city centre. The product range is good, they have a nice range of most products you'd expect to find in a Boots, including the Bulldog Skincare range which was the main purpose of my visit. There is an Opticians and Pharmacy area as you'd expect from a large Boots store. I did find the gift-sets to be a little poor, maybe that is because people of Liverpool seem to have raided the shelves as they are currently 50% off, but the selection is much better in Manchester, many big brands which are sold in the latter didn't seem to be sold here, but they did have some cool Twinings Tea gift-sets, which aren't sold in the former, however, they did seem to be damaged, ripped and one was even missing a tea-bag (thieves?) It's a large Boots store, the selection is pretty good, I do feel they should do more to maintain the quality of products, I get it isn't the store's fault to a full extent but they should be maintaining them and not selling products which have obviously been tampered with, prices were OK/competitive in the majority of areas. I do prefer my local Manchester - Market Street store as I find the selection to be slightly better, with more facilities overall, but this still is a good store in Liverpool. 4*

This branch of Boots is excellent. It is situated in the heart of the city centre and has a huge…read morerange of, well, everything. On the ground floor you have a large pharmacy area, cosmetics concessions, perfumes, toiletries, holiday items, food, and hair products. Upstairs has baby clothes and products, a large camera and film processing section and a wide range of electronics. The different products are organised into clearly marked sections and it is easy to find everything in store. If you are a bit lost the staff are more than happy to help you. There are often offers displayed for multibuys and the products are competitively priced. When I used to work in the city centre I bought my lunch at Boots for most of the week. They have an excellent value meal deal where you can buy sandwiches, wraps, salads or sushi, chocolate or crisps and a drink for about £3.50. The food is always of a good quality.

It is only quite a small shop but it is very well stocked selling baby items, hair dye, deodorants, make up, dental items, spot creams, sweets and much more in the main part of the shop. Behind the plexiglass screen they have an excellent range of over the counter medicines which the staff are very knowledgeable about. If you need any advice on prescription medication then there is always a pharmacist on site. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and will whatever they can for you. I often get my prescriptions filled here and even though I have several items on my prescription they are always prepared quickly and accurately. Every now and then the pharmacy might be short of one of my tablets but they always have them in the next day at the very latest. They also offer a repeat prescription collection service where they will take your repeat requests to any local surgeries for you and then fill them, which is very convenient.

There is very little to say about this establishment on the whole but that is a good thing as they go about their business in a knowledgeable and no nonsense fashion. The staff here are friendly, trustworthy and really know what they are talking about which fills the customer with a great level of confidence. More places should take note of this establishment as it is a great model for how to run a well respected and successful business.

(It also opens at 6 during the week too, great to pop in on your commute!) The drinks and to-go food selection is okay but I do feel other places within the station including WHSmith, Marks and Spencer and the Co-op outside are better, however. It can get a little crowded at peak times, I do occasionally see warehouse boxes around the store too which makes this a little worse. If you're looking for a flu shot, this store as of writing has the best availability in the city centre with appointments most days compared to the Arndale/Market Street branch which would have had me waiting over two weeks, and Piccadilly Gardens which has over a weeks wait for an appointment after 4:30 pm (This is a seasonal thing remember!) Average store in most regards, but opening hours make it much more useful to pick up medicines when in the city. 3*

The reason I've managed to avoid getting the dreaded flu myself is wrapping up warm and carrying First Defense and Cuticura Hand Gel with me. The former keeps me warm and toasty and the latter two kill off bad germs and bacteria. Luckily, this Boots stocks both so whenever I'm travelling and running low on either, I just pop in and grab some on my way to the platform. Handily, they also stock smoothies and breakfast bars too!

Their shops can be found normally in the middle of the high street and inside the shops items are sensibly organised so that lunch time shopping is done quickly. Superdrug stock the same sort of items as boot. You can find mens deodrants and shaving items as well as aftershave. For women they have lots of beauty products. I am not a women myself but from previous visits they seemed to have a good selection of womens things. They also sell food and drink which is also convient. I would go as far as to say that Superdrug is much cheaper then boots. They regularly have good offers on. They vary from buy 2 get one free to just plain old fashion savings. I find the staff very polite and efficient. They always seem to have the right number of people serving so that you are never queuing for long. This is a plus point for me as I hate wasting my lunch hour in a queue. I like Superdrug and given a choice out between Boots and Superdrug, I would choose Superdrug 99% of the time!
