Alex was our photographer when we got married at the San Francisco City Hall last year. It was a full day affair, beginning with picking up our marriage license to the actual ceremony and ending with outdoor shots at two different locations. During the few hours before ceremony, Alex took photos of us in the city hall, which turned out absolutely amazing. He really knew how to capture the best angles and moments. For the outdoor shots, we first went to the San Francisco Japanese Garden, followed by the Palace of Fine Arts. Alex was super patient with us even though it has already been more than eight hours by then. Alex definitely made that day special for us, and we now have gorgeous photos to remember it by thanks to him. read more

We absolutely loved working with Alex and his team! We used them for both of our wedding events! Yes, we've had more than one wedding event! It was very fun and easy working with Alex!In fact, we forgot that he was there in our events, recording in the background! I cried when I first watched both of the videos. We shared the videos with our friends and families and they were also in tears! That's when we knew that Alex did a great job capturing great memories on our special days! If you're looking for a videographer on your special day, look no further! read more

Alex was absolutely amazing. We can't say enough great things about him. He showed up early and stayed late to shoot our wedding. We loved the direction and cues he would give us to get the best shot. He is a true professional. He also gave great feedback during the wedding planning process and was always very responsive and helpful. Our only regret is that we didn't do BOTH photo and video with him. Thank you so much, Alex. We'll cherish your work forever. read more

Alex's work is top-notch and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made himself available on short-notice to put together a two-minute explainer video, complete with workshop footage, b-roll, and client interviews. His editing was fast and required amazingly little guidance. He truly has a knack for understanding what you are looking for and then delivering. Pricing was competitive and his communications were fast. He'll be my first call on my next Bay Area video project! read more

I don't even know where to start with my review of Alex. To sum it up, he was AMAZING! He provided our videography service at our wedding, and he did an outstanding job. Alex seemed to completely understood the vibe we were going for with the day, and meshed very well with our crazy bridal party and guests. He was very unobtrusive, yet captured amazing footage! I have seen a lot of wedding situations where videographers were front and center a lot, and a distraction. Alex was not like this at all, and I really was impressed by that. The video itself turned out perfectly. He had a final product for us very quickly. It was skillfully edited and had a very cinematic presentation. It was delivered to us in a professional blu-ray packaging that looked great. He also accommodated a last minute request by us to include full speeches in addition to the highlight video. It is really a great thing to be able to go back and re-live some big moments of the day that went by so quickly. The video also shows a lot of awesome things I missed on the day, such as the shenanigans of my groomsmen right behind me during the garter toss. My wife and I had so much fun watching the video, as well as our families and friends. We look forward to watching in years to come. I highly recommend a videographer for this reason, and I highly recommend Alex Win. You will be very happy, I guarantee it! Thank you Alex for everything you did for us! read more

Before I give my raving review of Alex, I should first say I'm actually a competitor. I should be giving him a bad review! But I can't because Alex is an amazing photographer and perhaps one of the nicest guys I've recently come to know. You see, just a day after my father passed away, Alex helped me cover a wedding and pretty much took over important shots when I was simply unable to focus. He showed care and concern for not only me, but also my clients. Thanks Alex! Brides: he's your guy for capturing the most important day of your lives. read more

Alex is a nice person and a great photographer! He gives you an instant comfortable feeling and he is extremely responsive with messages. My fiancé and I recently had our engagement photos done with him and he took us to a beautiful location filled with vibrant and gorgeous colors. I felt very calm and relaxed during the photo session. We received our photos back and the photos of the scenery came out amazing! Alex had a great idea to capture my fiancé and I sitting on a bridge that overlooked the lake and Alex captured it from afar and it's by far one of my favorite photos of us. Alex has a great way of capturing beauty and incredible scenery. He's very talented and definitely has a great eye! If you're looking for a professional, extremely responsive photographer with talent he is your guy! Thank you again Alex for the beautiful photos. We will forever cherish them! read more

When my then-fiancée and I were looking around for photographers, we fell in love with Alex's keen eye and style - especially the silhouette and sunset shots. We found him through a recommendation from a friend of ours (he did her wedding as well). I hang out with a lot of professional photographers who do all sorts of different styles, so there was an extremely high bar set. In the end, what matters is the skill of the guy behind the camera - & you're going to be hard pressed to find anyone that has the skill that Alex has at the price he charges. Plus, we got the shots back in less than 2 weeks! The booking process & consultation with Alex was super easy. We told him that we really weren't sure of the background we wanted. He showed us some of the shots that he'd taken before in different places. We were floored & immediately knew we had found our guy. We purchased the package with the engagement shoot. Paying was really easy through his website. The scheduling was made directly though him & couldn't have been easier. He gave us some ideas and we decided on a small outdoor shot in the east bay (no, not going to spoil his secret- hire him & find out!) The shots were incredible! As for our big day. The logistics called for my wife to be in Oakland, me in San Francisco & the wedding/reception in San Ramon. Without missing a beat, Alex and his team were able to capture the most beautiful wedding photos. We did some photos before the ceremony while before the storm. It was predicted to rain the day of, so we knew timing was going to be critical. We explored the grounds for a little while and got some great shots of us and the wedding party. It was literally raining and hailing 15 minutes before the ceremony. In short, Alex & his team are amazing. Every step of the way he was helpful & supportive. He consistently worked with us during the set up & during the actual shoot. He has a superb eye for what looks good (and thankfully what doesn't!) I've already recommended him to my other friends to do their upcoming nuptials. Book him while you can! read more

Paws In Need wanted a video created to show people at our annual Crab Feed fundraiser about who we are and what we do. We posted a request for a videographer on VolunteerMatch.org (great site for obtaining volunteers). Alex answered our request and donated his services to create a 10 minute video for us. Not only is he able to capture excellent photos of people, he also does that for animals too! He was a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and everyone loved the video. He is the best and comes highly recommended. read more

We were at the beach with a group of models and other photographers. My daughter is just starting out in modeling and is in the process of building up her portfolio. Alex Win recently covered the wedding of my son and his fiancée in Menlo Park/Palo Alto. We are delighted with the images he took, both candid and posed. His photographs have an ethereal, romantic quality that really captured the beauty of the bride in her gown, the church interior, and the joyful smiles of onlookers at the ceremony and reception. He did a great job on the big day without calling undue attention to himself. Emails and billing were handled very professionally, too. Well done, Alex! read more

Our experience with Alex was nothing short of amazing. If all of the wedding vendors could be like Alex, wedding planning would be so much easier. From the time we contacted him for the first time, Alex has always been patient and prompt in responding to all of our questions. He was very clear when explaining the scope of his services while being very flexible during the entire process. Our engagement session in SF was in itself an adventure he was glad to be part of. Having never taken photos like this before, he made us feel comfortable and made the day fun; we were also able to get to know each other and that gave us a huge relief for the wedding day. He understood how eager we were to see our pictures and surprised us with amazing teasers while he worked on getting all our engagement pictures ready. He also worked with us on the delivery timing so we could use some of them for our "save the date." He kept in touch with us throughout and checked in to see what he could do for the wedding day. Everything we asked, they were done. On our wedding day, Alex and his team arrived early and super energized, with huge smiles. By then, we were super comfortable with him and were very pleased to meet his team who were just as kind and accommodating as Alex. They made our wedding night enjoyable and were always checking on how they could make us enjoy our wedding. We received our final pictures and videos in a timely manner and are so happy with the quality and the memories they were able to capture. We will be forever grateful to Alex and his team for capturing and being part of these special times in our lives. read more

We are so lucky to have had Alex and his team as our wedding photographers. I had never met Alex until our rehearsal night, but from our conversations on the phone from day one to emails with suggestions/tips, and his professionalism, I felt comfortable and was able to trust in his talent and skills. He is a genuinely "good guy" with sincere concerns. He saw that I was stressed the night before, but all those worries seemed to melt away on the wedding day, like he said. We had a bridesmaid dilemma within one hour of the ceremony; her zipper was stuck and would not zip up. After my dad and the other bridesmaids teamed up to help without much success, Alex saved the day by calling the local bridal store, J'aime Bridal. We didn't even buy our dresses there, but within 15 minutes, the bridesmaid walked out of the shop with her dress on and a brand new zipper sown in. Miraculous!!! And we have Alex to thank! He and his crew were so much fun and we felt at ease during the brief photo shoot (per our request). Thankfully, he was very accommodating with our timeline, as well. We, our friends and family had a wonderful time that day, and have enjoyed his blog narrative and photos so far. We cannot wait to see the rest of his work and re-live that day. I strongly recommend Alex Win Photography and would not hesitate to have photos done by him in the future ;-) read more
