Great breakfast, afternoon tea/coffee/cookies and a cozy little balcony on which to enjoy it all. If you love art, you'll enjoy looking at their collection and murals on the walls. Comfortable, quiet rooms and everything was very clean. We would definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Berlin in the future.

The time when I stayed there I got breakfast made every morning and the guy who cleans the place is exceptional. It's very close to everything. The Gay area of Berlin is a block away, the buss stops to all the tourist attractions are two blocks away. You can literally walk down a block and run into great restaurants and bars. The are where this guest house is super safe. I walked around back from a club and women and children were walking the area late. That to me says safe. The building is to die for, incredible 1920 German building that survived the war. I'll post some pictures for you to see. The guests were very friendly and told me they researched guesthouses around here and this one was the very best in Price, location and cleanliness. I can go on and on since I've traveled through out London, Paris and last stop Berlin and this was by far the best place I have stayed in. Great to meet you Maik and Carsten.

Additional: I was told at check in breakfast was included ,but it actually was not and when I asked about it the hotel front desk was unhelpful and dismissive. It's super central to lots of things...... Close to Checkpoint Charlie, the Mall of Berlin, Potsdamer Platz, various subway stations, the Berlin wall monument and the Topography of Terror Museum. Also lots of coffee shops and sandwhich spots close by. It's very safe at any time. It's quiet after hours - Berlin tourism shuts down after 6 PM, but the restaurants and bars live in up after that time. Regardless ? It's super safe. Cons- not many really. It's clean, modern, centrally located, and very functional. There aren't a lot of extra amenities... For example, there is no soap and conditioner in the room (only shampoo) you have to bring your own. There is a hairdryer, towels, coffee, and extra coffee pods. If you want more coffee than what's in your room you just ask at the front desk and they give you more pods. We just walked up to the grocery store and bought an extra box. I liked going to the grocery store and seeing how German grocery stores are laid out, so it was fun for us. There is a breakfast restaurant onsite for $16 but we enjoyed venturing out to the many different coffee shops and breakfast places in the area. For the price, this place is well worth the price! Also, we just loved Berlin. First visit. People are very accommodating and public transportation is easy to master. So much to see and do. East and West are very different, but whole city feels safe. Things we did: - Classic Remise (classic car workshop and storage facility - amazing!) - most of the museums and monuments - drinks at Hotel Adlon (super fancy) - visit Stasi Museum and Stasi prison - walk along Kurfürstendamm - (Berlin's Rodeo Drive) - visit East side Gallery- a section on the Wall with great artwork spray painted - Sachsenhausen Museum And Tour

The lobby staff are very nice and the seats in the lobby were pretty cool too!! And the candy!!! I thought the hotel vibe was pretty representative of the Berlin vibe. I spent most of my days out and about since the location was super convenient to everything so I didn't use too much of the amenities at the hotel. There is a hot tub on the roof for access from 4-8pm, looked fun but it was too cold to go when I went. I did not use the lobby bar either. Breakfast did not look worth it though, go to a nearby cafe for better food! I got the smallest room, it was nice, even though it was small it did not feel cramped, I had space to lay out my luggage without walking over it. The bathroom was also nice. The slippers were comfortable.
