I shared that I was having low water flow in my toilet as well and thus experiencing frequent clogs. I'd ask if they can both unclog the toilet and to evaluate my toilet to see what the problem is. When I called, they gave a quote for 20 mins which was way faster than I expected! Nevertheless, they were late, taking an hour to come. That alone isn't the problem but without clear communication, it makes planning difficult. He did text that he was 18 mins away, 20 mins into the wait. And by that time, he was 20 mins late from that estimate. He came into my apt and QUICKLY fixed the clog with a drain auger (?). It seriously took 1 minute. I asked him if he could then take a look at my toilet as well to see WHY I keep having this problem. He takes one look at it and says you need an ENTIRELY NEW TOILET and quoted me $600. He didn't look at the tank, do any sort of inspection. I said wow that seems extreme to have to replace the whole toilet, you haven't even taken a look. He said he knows these sorts of toilets and that I'd need a new one. I asked him to send me a quote so I could share with my landlord. Never received the quote! He charged me $150! I get that is the service fee but I don't think that's fair for 1 min of work and not even taking the time to inspect the toilet to see what could be wrong with it. Asked another plumber to check out my toilet. They replaced some parts and now it's flushing appropriately. They had much better prices and better professionalism. Please don't waste your money on this company.

This review is long overdue.... I contacted Mike because my grandmother was having plumbing issues…read moreand likes to have things done quickly. She has anxiety issues and becomes a bit helpless during situations such as these. So I search Craigslist and came up on Mike's advertisement. Upon contacting Mike he carries a professional manner and when asked about reviews (I constantly check reviews) he forwarded me to Yelp. I read the reviews and we confirmed an appointment for that day. During his time at my grandparents home in Brooklyn, he was able to discover something was deeply clogged into the drainage. He was very comforting and caring to my grandmother (I wasn't at the appointment as I live in Manhattan) and fixed the issue. The thing with this situation that gives one of the reasons for the 5 stars is that he not only communicated the situation with my grandmother but with me on the phone as well. See there was a bit of confusion as there were some issues in the neighborhood as well but he double checked rather than just taking a tip and thank you. He went back into the house and into the basement where WAH LA th clog was unclogged. ' Second time I contacted Mike same scenario, professional and attentive. However the plumbing issue was resolved this time it was the sewage. As he couldn't take care of this issue and I have no idea about this kind of stuff he forwarded contact information to a sewage professional. Thank you Mike...

I later told Mike about his work, but he didn't offer anything. Professional, honest, and available and responsive 24/7…read more Igor of Mr. Fix has done a number of jobs at my now former home in Sunset Park. During the Halloween snowstorm of 2011 when we went to turn on our heat we discovered that the pilot in the furnace was not lit and that we needed a plumber. It being the weekend I set out to find a 24 hour plumber. Igor picked up the phone immediately when I called and told me he could come over in a few hours (he gave a 1 hour range). He asked me to text him my address and said he'd call when he was on his way. He was prompt and professional. It turned out we needed a new furnace. Igor purchased the furnace for us and installed it the following day. Everything was clean when he left and the work was well done. Later that winter Igor added a gas line for our dryer and installed it for us. We left him the keys to the house so that he could work while we were at work. He locked up and even texted me a picture of the completed job before he left. He came back the following evening to pick up the check from us, double check that we were happy with the work, and dropped off a bottle of wine as a thank you for our business as his business was celebrating an anniversary (he also brought an ice cream cake for me since I was pregnant at the time :) ). A few weeks ago I called Igor again because of an emergency. It was a Sunday morning and he immediately picked up when I called and knew who I was and had my address. My husband had gone to move the gas dryer and stove out of the house and into our new house, but he wasn't able to get the gas shut off at the stove because the hardware was too old. Igor arrived very soon after I called him and was able to get the gas shut off and wouldn't accept any payment for his time. I would absolutely call Igor again with any plumbing issues.

Got a call back very quickly saying they were on their way and would arrive in about an hour. Anthony arrived with another gentleman, Dom, on time and they patiently listened while I explained what was going on and what I tried. Anthony told me they'd first try to snake the drain and if that didn't work, there was another procedure with a water jet. I appreciated him being upfront about the fact that the first thing they would try may not work in order to set expectations. Decided to go with the snaking and Anthony let me know the price and proceeded to do the work. They were very thorough, spending about an hour working on it and testing it. By the end of the snaking, everything was working without an issue! Throughout the work, Anthony and Dom were extremely pleasant. They took extra care to ask if it was okay to move things onto the counter or if I wanted any extra protection on the floor.
