My first experiences with Road Ready were quite positive (which is why I am giving them 2 stars…read moreinstead of 1) My first 2 instructors Andy and Rob were really great people to work with and taught me a lot. Then I scheduled two lessons with their 3rd instructor who shall remain nameless. For each appointment I stressed to the school that it is mandatory that the instructor wears a mask when I am in the car. No problem with the first two. I had to remind this instructor a few times to put on the mask and when he did he dug up an old mask that was so loose it wouldn't stay over his nose. In the first few minutes I had to remind him a few times to put the mask back up. When I saw that it was hopeless I asked him if he was vaccinated and he said no. At that point I said that this lesson was over and I didn't feel safe. I am 70 years old and overweight so I take all precautions. He gave me quite an argument even going so far as to say that masks did no good anyway but ultimately he gave me back my check and I got out of the car. When I got home I spoke to the woman who answered the phones who was very nice and told her that I wanted to speak with the owner about this. She said she would have him call me. That was Thursday early afternoon and I am writing this on Monday, 96 hours later and I still haven't heard from anyone. Which to me says that they either don't take the situation seriously or they just don't care. It's not for me to tell them who to hire or whether vaccinations should be mandatory but I think I should have been told beforehand that my instructor was not vaccinated. I would have turned him down flat and waited for one of the other 2 instructors. Not only did I feel unsafe at the time but now I feel disrespected as well.

I actually used Road Ready Driving School 3 years ago, but I'm thinking all the way back to that…read moretime because I was so impressed with their services. I did not have Yelp 3 years ago (and I just learned Yelp reviews more than food and drinks). Steve, a retired cop, taught me how to drive. I was very nervous, unskilled, older than most new drivers and I even had unsuccessful attempts with other driving schools. Steve at Road Ready Driving School was the most patient, kind (and fearless) instructor I ever could have asked for. He cheered me up when I failed the road test, and he even brought my favorite kind of donut to celebrate when I passed the test. I've been on the road for a few years now with no incidents or trouble, and I think the high quality lessons this school provided helped set me up for success. This driving school will always have a little place in my heart and my full endorsement for anyone (young or old, nervous or excited) who wants to learn to drive.

UNSAFE VEHICLES!…read more When completing my 6-hours lesson (July 2019) I came to realize the vehicles they were using 2003 & 2006 Toyota Corollas were affected by the big Takata airbag recall either causing malfunction of the front driver and passenger airbags or deploying with metal shards causing possible fatalities. I asked to run the VIN number of the vehicle I was using and I was denied the usage. Lucky I used a website where I could retrieve the VIN number from the license plate. My findings had me in awe. The vehicle I was driving had two open airbag recalls, the ones I was concerned about. The instructors themselves were polite and knowledgeable. They truly knew what they were doing and were never more than 10 minutes late. Throughout my six hours I, thank god, remained safe and in one piece. We at first had an issue with someone at the office about scheduling, and they offered us an extra hour of practice. They although did not honor that promise. After completing my 6 hours I asked to speak to a superior and was given the the cell phone number of the owner. I brought it to her attention about the open recalls on the vehicle I had driven. One of the two recalls had been open since 2014, and the other 2015! She showed a slight concern, and even asked me to run another vehicle for her, at the time the other vehicle I ran for her turned up clean but as I have check again it has a new open recall for the same potentially lethal airbag issue (Oct 19'). After reporting my findings of the vehicle she asked for she responded and said she would be getting the information for the two other vehicles in her fleet. I never received another response. I vividly expressed my concern and the urgency of the situation. I also explained to her that remedies of these recalls were available and free of charge at a local Toyota dealership. After almost a year later, I am currently looking for a refresher lesson and a rental for my upcoming road test. After running both VINs again today it is clear that my urgent concern was not taken seriously, and the blood of the students and instructors will be in their hands, god forbid a serious accident ever happens. The instructors were great, but management and maintenance needs an overhaul.

5-star learning experience with Nick!…read more I'm 27 years ago and have always been super anxious about driving so I never actually learned how to. I'm glad I found Nick and the Pennsylvania Driving School. I passed the road test on my first try with Nick's help! He is really patient, understanding, and supportive. He taught me how to not only pass the test but also know how to drive safely and confidently in the long run. He'd pick me up on time for every lesson, go over the car dashboard controls, let me practice driving especially right/left turns, and explain what to do in certain scenarios. He has a foolproof method for parallel parking that I was able to understand and succeed at right away. I took the test with him as well and I'm glad I did. He picked me up at 6:30 in the morning and drove me to the test site to practice on the exact routes that the test would be on. I finished everything and got my driver's license at 9am! I never thought this day would come but I'm proud of myself for overcoming my driving anxiety. Thank you Nick a million times for your awesome instructions and for giving me the freedom to go out there on my own and explore!

Pennsylvania Driving School offers the cheapest driving lessons per hour that's why I chose them…read more Dave is a nice guy, funny and quite patient. I feel like he's condescending at times, but I wanted to learn so I suck it up. I took 3 lessons with them and I still feel like I can barely drive. Lesson 1 - Dave picked me up and asked if I know any empty parking lots near me. He spent 1 hr 30mins just telling me where are the 12 blind spots on the car, the controls in the car and explaining the details of the RECEIPT!!! 30mins driving around and around a parking lot. Lesson 2 - Dave picked me up and finally found a better parking lot. Spent 30mins going through everything he told me on the first lesson. 30mins driving around the parking lot. 50mins finally driving on the road! Lesson 3 - Dave picked me up and took 30mins to find a good place to practice (back to the same parking lot). Spent 30 mins in the parking lot trying some angle parking. 1hr on the road. No parallel parking just because there's snow on the curb. After 3 lessons (6 hrs) I expect to know more about driving and parking. I feel that there's a lot of wasted time on my dime.
