It feels like they are actively finding excuses to turn away disabled adults. We are reporting them to Aetna's complaint unit and the NYS Office of the Professions. Unprofessional and uncaring.

I've been to many chiropractors and they have always helped me to feel better, but like clockwork, the pain comes back and worse than the time before. This was by far the worst pain I've experienced! I couldn't sit or stand without assistance and walking was not tolerable because the pain was so excruciating. After an unsuccessful acupuncture appointment earlier in the day - side bar - I tried acupuncture in hopes that would help since nothing else was working... I was promised that I'd be dancing out of their office... I left in worse shape, but I'll leave that story for their review. Anyways, barely able to walk, I scoured the Internet looking for a chiropractor that could take me that same day because there was no way I could possibly get through the day in the shape I was in. Most of them were either closed, fully booked, or didn't have enough reviews to give me peace of mind. Finally, I came across this gem of a place! I called and they were able to take me, hallelujah! I was dreading getting in a car because the pain was so bad and I knew it would take me 20 minutes just to get in and out, but my God got me and I was assigned a Mercedes Benz Metris, which is basically a luxury van. I was able to slide right in and out - still painful, but easier than trying to get into a sedan. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Dr. Shtarkman and he helped me get checked in. I couldn't sit so I filled out everything standing up, which was so uncomfortable, but I was seen right away. He took some x-rays, asked me questions and then we went to one of the exam rooms. Although I was in pain, Dr. Shtarkman made me laugh and I felt very comfortable the entire time. By the end of the visit, I walked out of the office with zero tears... still in a bit of pain, but much more bearable than when I came in! It's 5 sessions later and I am elated!!!! I cannot recommend this place enough. They have me on a treatment plan that I KNOW is working; I feel a little bit better after every session. They even introduced acupuncture to my plan (Javier is awesome! Everything from his bedside manner to educating me in the art has been wonderful). My husband also suffers from back pain so I brought him here as well and he's just as happy as I am! I plan on bringing my mom and sister for wellness checks just so they can experience how amazing this facility is. I probably should've mentioned this earlier, but the reception staff and all the girls are so amazing! They're friendly and very efficient so you're never kept waiting for too long after you check in. I'm so happy I found this place and am very much looking forward to continuing this road to recovery and being able to manage these issues in the best way!

I went in the following day 06/06/25 and was given a tour by the manager. I informed her that I was interested in aqua therapy and she asked which insurance did I have. I informed her and she said yes we accept Emblem GHI. Again....great! Arrived to my appointment on 06/11/25 and provided my insurance information again with a cash copay which I paid but wasn't informed prior that they only accept cash. I saw a male therapist (who didn't introduce himself). He asked me about my health condition and did a less than 5 minute evaluation. He never took me into a private room to assess my range of motion (I've had multiple therapy sessions and the initial evaluation was always done privately). He then said we have to get authorization from your insurance company. I asked approximately how long will that take. He said about two days, I said okay and left. I waited patiently and decided to give them a call on 06/17/25. I called and spoke with someone who said that the manager will call me back in about an hour....no call. I called back 06/18/25 and informed the person about my call the previous day and did not receive a call back. She said the manager will call you back in a few minutes.....no call. I called about 2 1/2 hours later stressing the important of obtaining some information. She said hold on and then came back and said we don't accept your insurance. WHAT!!! I wonder at what point were they going to inform me and at what point during the two weeks did they realize that they did not accept my insurance. I would not recommend this facility just for their unprofessionalism.

After coming in for a free consultation (which they do offer if you call and ask) Greg my physical therapist gave me a full breakdown on what my problem was and after the consulatation I decided to stick here because of how he not only explained to me my potential problem, but also educated me as to why my lower back pain was present. After about a month of consistent therapy they lead me back to having a normal life without anymore back pain!!! And if i do have back pain here and there, i refer to what Greg and the exercise specialist taught me. For the past four plus years, Yuriy has been an extraordinary part of my journey through three major surgeries, countless months of rehabilitation, setbacks, uncertainty, frustration, and, ultimately, an outcome I once wondered if I would ever achieve: I am walking independently again and getting my life back!!! My journey was anything but straightforward. My first surgery was unfortunately not successful, and took multiple consultations to finally understand something was seriously wrong. The problem was so complicated surgeon after surgeon essentially told me they would not attempt to correct it because of the potential damage to my body to fix it. During all the uncertainty, Yuriy was there and he never gave up. Yuriy brought an extraordinary combination of knowledge, experience, patience, kindness, professionalism, compassion, and hands-on care to every single session. He paid attention, listened and watched my progress--or, at times, my lack of progress--and he cared deeply about understanding why I wasn't getting better. There were certainly moments when Yuriy became frustrated but his frustration was never with me. It was with the fact he could see something wasn't right, and he couldn't figure out what was preventing me from progressing. He cared even when the answer wasn't immediately apparent. There were many times over those years I cried. Yuriy always managed to stay strong even when I was overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply exhausted from the long road. But there were also a few very special moments when I saw his own eyes had welled up with tears. Those moments have stayed with me because they showed me just how deeply he cared. He adjusted... adapted... encouraged and challenged me when I needed to be and celebrated the smallest victories along the way. One of the things which makes Yuriy even more remarkable to me is he is a husband and proud father of three, and yet somehow he still brings an extraordinary amount of energy, patience, and genuine compassion to his work every day. I have had the privilege of watching him interact with other patients and it is clear the care he has shown me is not something he reserves for one. He cares deeply about all his patients. I find that to be so important, because that is exactly how every doctor should be. Besides being a well rounded doctor, she is also the sweetest person you'll meet! My baby absolutely loves her and gets excited every time she sees her. She treats my child as if she is her own by praising her, being gentle with her and by truly caring. Rimma goes above and beyond by always making herself available to answer any questions, address any new concerns and by following up. She sends us home with print outs of the exercises that we can do at home and lots of amazing advice. As well as during the appointment, she is fully engaged in helping your child succeed and get better with each activity. You can see how much love and care Rimma gives to every baby that walks through her door. We've been going to Rimma for a couple of months and I do see a tremendous improvement in my baby's physical health on daily basis! It's rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care.
