It was incredibly hot when it arrived to the point where I couldn't start eating it properly for quite a while. I washed it down with a nice Italian bottled lager. I can't remember the name of the lager because I never got to see the bottle, it was tipped into a glass before being served. Great service, very polite and friendly. The only problem was that due to the restaurants open design, noise (talking) carried throughout the whole place making the environment quite noisy and it did make me feel like I was in a nightclub talking to your friends but without the music! And so, being in the area, I visited this one. Just over the road from the newly refurbed Kettledrum Inn, this restaurant is impressive from the outside and the interior doesn't disappoint, either. It is tastefully decorated, and there is entertainment on at weekends and (I believe) on certain weekdays/nights too. The atmosphere is pleasant and service is quite good. The food is of a decent standard, though unfortunately there is nothing to really set it apart from the many other Italian restaurants I have visited, and it is quite high end price-wise, too.
