Instead Footlocker chains will send the order to the nearest physical store to fulfil the order. Someone at this store, which was confirmed by customer service, packaged a pair of used/worn/dirty and most likely returned pair of Vans to fulfil my order. First of all, why did anyone at your store even accept a worn pair of shoes for a refund or exchange. And if there is something in the Footlocker return policy that states, "it's okay to refund worn shoes" as an employee with common sense should have not placed them back in stock, but rather mark them as defective and get rid of them. The audacity for this employee to think it was okay to ship me or anybody else used shoes, that money was used to purchase them.

However, every time I go in and there's a new sales associate they are friendly and eager to assist in finding your size or something that fits your description - either in the store or in stock somewhere else. They are willing to ship items that aren't in the store at no extra charge. It's a type of style I like and for me is a bright spot in the North Star mall. I've always found their shoes to be comfortable from the very start and don't require any breaking in period. They stand behind their products too - I once bought a pair of shoes on sale, didn't wear them for a year and when I finally pulled them out of the closet to use they had a defect - they still took them back! Also had a sports jacket that after wearing it once I wasn't happy with the fit. I mentioned I was disappointed to a clerk a couple months later and they weren't able to return it for me but they did exchange it with a different size that was still in stock at another location - it was mailed to me at no additional charge. Not a big fan of their socks but if they're on sale I might pick up a few playful designs. Belts are great but never pay full price - it's an item that's pretty much guaranteed to go on sale. I am a passionate Johnston&Murphy Customer and have always had good experiences with them until recently! The pair of shoes I wanted to buy were not available in the store, Lacantera Shopping Mall, San Antonio, Texas! The associate stated, no problem, we can order them for you and mail them to your home no later than September 18th, 2020. Well, September 18, 2020 has passed and no word from Johnston&Murphy! Finally, I called the 800 number today, September 21, and they stated the following: First they said they had some proof of payment issues, well, that's impossible, because I paid for them on my debit card; secondly, they called me back again, after the first Johnston&Murphy Associate hung up on me; and the second associate stated the shoes will be mailed to name in 3-5 business days; 10 minutes later received another call from same Johnston&Murphy Associated stating the shoes are no longer available so we're gonna to credit your debit card account! And, I stated, WOW, it took from Aug 7th to Sep 20 to come up with this conclusion! How incompetent! The sad thing is no one bothered to contact me, at all, to inform me of the status of the backorder of the shoe purchase! Finally, beware of ordering anything from Johnston&Murphy, especially, if not available in store and they indicate we can mail the shoes to your home. The issue with this, Johnston&Murphy never attempted to contact me to give update on backorder; secondly, they gave me 3 different bogus reasons as to why I hadn't received the backorder! I will no longer be ordering anything from Johnston&Murphy moving forward. If the item is not in the store, don't order it, based on this experience! Johnston&Murphy, you need to step up your "Customer Service Orientation" Process and be true to it!

It all started when we observed our daughter being mistreated by the cashier after she requested a pair of shoes in her size. We observed the cashier belittling our 16 year old daughter and proceeded to intervene. We asked for a manager and that's when we were shocked by what happened next. We explained what transpired to the manager Noah, expecting him to "manage" the situation, but he had the audacity to responded saying "I didn't see what happened so...". He shrugged his shoulders and further stated "I'm sorry you feel that way but I didn't see what happed so there's nothing I can do about it". We patiently explained the situation again and his response was the same. We instructed our daughter to put the shoes back because we will never spend another dime in Shoe Palace. At this point the manager reared his disrespectful attitude and stated "don't ever come back here again". Frustration set in for us at this point as we followed him to the cash register and asked for his name. He refused to give us his name and also protected the young lady who disrespected our daughter as both of them vanished to the back of the store and refused to come out and deal with the unfortunate incident. We demanded his manager's name and he refused to provide that information as well. Another employee at this point saw what was going on and called one of the other managers to handle the situation. He was very helpful, apologized for the incident and provided us the name of the other manager, Noah, who was overly disrespectful to our family. I'm not sure what type of training these managers/employees receive but they need some serious training because we will never, and I repeat, never do business with Shoe Palace again. You have lost very valuable customers!! Our family has given a lot of business to SP, but the disrespect and unprofessionalism we endured this trip has permanently cancelled any future business with Shoe Palace. We will also encourage our vast network to NEVER shop at this establishment. I hope SP's corporate team engages with this location sooner rather than later because this seems to be a trend based on the other disappointing reviews written about this location. I highly recommended replacing this VERY inexperienced, rude, and obnoxious manager with someone competent. I also recommend personnel training for the entire staff and that ALL EMPLOYEES WEAR NAME TAGS. I also recommend a point of contact outside the store in the event future customers encounter this level of disrespect and lackluster customer service.
