When I'm in this neck of the woods, I stop here for a great shopping experience! I've gotten way too much stuff at this Aldi! They have all the basics here all the time and then have specials each week. Come early to get products advertised. The ads come out on Wednesday's. The only food product that I didn't care for from Aldi was the egg nog, but that was several years ago and they may have changed their supplier or formula. The goods I have gotten here have all been very good and no problems. Staff is very good here. Family friendly. Lot parking. Very good prices. I like aldi in general, but this location is one of my favorites now. They do a well job of stocking up on product, especially the things that tend to run out fastest during this pandemic. They have a good variety of things, and being an amateur chef, I find everything I need here. I don't need to go to any other store most of the time. Love the aldi prices compared to other grocery stores. In summary, This location is well organized, clean, doing a good job dealing with Covid-19, well stocked, and staff is friendly. read more

Aldi isn't my first choice for a grocery store. It's not really that much cheaper that bagging your own groceries make it appealing to me. I like them for items I can't find any where else. They have a nice selection things from foreign countries. I can't think of anywhere in town you can purchase spaetzle or real German bratwurst, which by the way isn't anything like what HyVee try's to pass as bratwurst. Their selection of cheeses are always unique and a great way to experiment with world flavors. Often I come to Aldi for the fruit, they have the freshest fruit and beat HyVee and Fareway on quality. They always have a row of house hold items down the center and I've purchased enamel covered cast that have became staples in my kitchen. Although Aldi isn't my favorite I do stop in from time to time and restock the staples I do get from them. read more

I found bloodly snot on a bag of pears, and it was the last bag and you would think an employee would have noticed.

I had to laugh when I pulled up at opening time and saw a line forming outside the door. Talk about diehard Aldi customers! Opening time is the BEST time to shop here. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Saturdays are another story....Avoid shopping here on Saturdays at all costs. I do like to get staple items here: sugar, olive oil, brown sugar, butter. They sneak in a few name brand items, like Fage yogurt (really good prices). Unfortunately its a very limited selection, do don't come here looking for a specific flavor or % fat. Actually keeping an open mind is particularly helpful when doing your shopping at Aldi. If you are willing to substitute or make minor adjustments to your recipes or menu planning, you can definitely save a lot of $$. The employees are very friendly at this particular location, which is refreshing. And shopping here is MUCH less scary than shopping at the Chicago stores I am accustomed to. I know this is a dream, but someday it'd be nice to see more local products available here. Or at least local dairy/meat/produce. read more

This store is undergoing a major remodel and will be fully modernized in a few months; as of today, it's a construction mess... Aldi's, in general, is excellent for the basics; everything else is hit or miss. Their house brand chips are as good as the national brands, and WAY cheaper. Canned goods are excellent and half the name brand price. Gallon Milk, Hormone free, is $1 cheaper than name brands. Produce quality varies widely from excellent to "it should have been thrown out"...quality is better earlier in the day and after the lunch dinner rush as they restock constantly. If it comes in a box, 50/50 shot you'll like it. Aldi's is a great starter store, go there to get the staples and other items you've tired and like, then hit a megastore for all that oddball or certain brand stuff you need. They also have what I call a "variety aisle" and you'll never know what you'll find in it. Amazingly, I typically find solid quality items made in Germany and the rest of Europe. I bought a non PTFE skillet from Italy and it was absolute top quality...Used nearly every day for 9 months now and it still looks and works like new...it was $11...a similar pan, made in China, will set you back $30 or more anywhere else. Shopping tip...visit at off times if possible...noon on Saturday is not the best idea. read more

I love this place! If they had a meat counter I could make this my solo grocery store of choice. Items are much more cheap. At first I snubbed Aldis until my German friend introduced me to all the delectable yummies they have and then I discovered how much cheaper the produce is. Quality is hit or miss but for my basics I give a resounding YES. A few of my favorite items are the plain brioche bread and the southwest pineapple guac. Those will make your tastebuds do a happy dance. I know some people aren't into the quarter cart deal but I love it. Not only does it keep the prices down, more often than not it gives you an opportunity to talk to someone new because you can swap a quarter for a cart or if you're feeling generous, just give away .25. Yes the lines can be ridiculous, but you can plan around that and go during non peak times. I like the employees too. Everyone is pretty friendly. My first trip here I had a culture shock because I had to buy my own bags -what??? First of all, I wasn't aware of the cardboard boxes to use and secondly, this has made me use reusable bags... and if I ever forget my reusable bags I want to punch myself in the face so do yourself a solid and just keep 1 or 2 in the car. Again, not only is this saving the business money, saving the consumer money, it's also helping save our environment by not using plastic sacks. Aldi's for the win!!! read more

Understand you are going there for SUPER low prices but that is because you will take your own bags, bag your own groceries, stand in a little longer line and have a small selection of groceries. The reason I love it is because they have my staples SO CHEAP. Cereal, eggs, veggies, soda, nuts and bread are WELL over $40 at Hy-Vee, here the bill is $15! My only tip, skip the meat and get that up the road at Fareway. read more

The $34.99 Easy Home Floor Lamp, weighted base,satin nickel finish, which ALDI sold earlier this year, only takes 18 watt bulb at the most --that's extremely dim! Only discovered this after tossing receipt and box. Seemed like a rip-off. I now have a completely useless lamp. They have good food, produce, selection, prices, and service. I regretted this non-foods purchase, though! read more
