Alejandra was wonderful to interact with today! Very knowledgeable and passionate about bees…read more They had a special event for kids- painting bee boxes , coloring, seeing a live bee observation hive, and tasting honey! They had free necklaces and bracelets for the kids which was so nice! We purchased honey soda, local honey, a beautiful beaded bracelet and a stuffed bee! They even have the little honey straws that the kids love! We loved this store and encourage you to check them out!

They carry honey they harvest themselves locally as well as from other areas like St Pete and Tampa. I've recently been consuming a small amount of local honey with my fruit and oatmeal every morning. After a few weeks, my sinus allergies are very much improved! I know I'm allergic to pollen in the area (I was tested) and honey bees harvest pollen and turn it in to honey. It's fantastic it's a natural, delicious and affordable cure to allergies! I bought some local honey and learned they also do bee removals in a helpful way for the innocent bees. They just transfer them to a place or hive where they can thrive! Check out their instagram @SeminoleBeeFarms which includes videos of bee removals. Life is great with local honey! Thanks Rachel M for telling me about this place!

I discovered this produce shop near my house and have been shopping there ever since.Frank is the…read moreowner and he is a really nice guy.He used to have an outdoor market but his new shop is mostly indoors. In addition to the produce he also offers a wide variety of good quality Honey,Jellies and Jams. What I really like about him is that he is an animal lover and sells for cheap or gives away produce to people that have pets that eat fruit and veggies. In addition to being kind to animals Frank is just a really nice people person too, often giving customers an apple or orange free of charge. He may not have the vast variety of produce that the bigger shops have, but there is always something interesting showing up each time I visit. For example, last time I was there he had some green coconuts and he cut one open for me, gave me a straw and I drank the fresh coconut water as we chatted. It tasted great and gave me an energy boost for the rest of that day. If you're passing by his shop stop in, look around and say hi,Frank and his cat Princess will welcome you to the store.

You know those little produce stands on the side of the road? Farah's just a step up from that…read more There are no real walls, and definitely no air conditioning, but things like this are how a business can keep things extra cheap. The owner is the only person I've ever seen working here. He is incredibly nice and I've seen him selections produce for elderly people who didn't want to get out of their vehicle. He's sent me home with extras that he needed to get rid of and couldn't sell for some reason. This is how I ended up with a giant bag of overly ripe bananas on him. I picked up a couple for banana bread and he just filled a giant bag and told me to give them away to my neighbors. The same day he also sent me home with half a dozen ears of corn and two super ripe avocados. In the past he's discounted a giant watermelon (and holy crap I think it's the best one I've ever consumed) because he had overstock and sent me home with 3/4 of a cantaloupe because he cut a bruised spot off of it. So, do I actually pay for things here? Yes, and they're super cheap. Often they're super delicious too. Yesterday I picked up 5 apples, 3 pears, a pile of non-overripe bananas, a pineapple, 2 tomatoes, and a jar of pear jam (no high fructose corn syrup in it, just FYI) for $13. Then he added all the stuff he had too much of. I think this guy has the best melons and pineapple around. Some of the produce is hit or miss. I went once and couldn't find any bananas and some of the apples were beaten up. You will not be able to fulfill all your grocery needs here or shop for super specific things, but it's not out of the way for me and I've been on a produce stand run lately. What I have picked up has been a good deal in addition to being tasty, and seriously, the owner is awesome. I rounded up to 5 stars just because of him.

Winn Dixie here again to save the day. Okay so yes, it is March 17th 2020 and we are in the midst…read moreof a global pandemic. And so in this current state there is no toilet paper, chicken, paper towel, water bottles (which I'm sorry I didn't know it was a hurricane we were preparing for over here), or hand sanitizer but there's plenty of everything else. They currently have a station set up when you walk in with all kinds of sanitizing wipes and sprays. This is always a quiet store. It's easy to get in and out of and never feels understaffed. I appreciate Winn Dixie for so many reasons and this includes their short sale prices. I always take advantage of short sale on produce or cheese items when cooking for a crowd. You'll know it's short sale because the item is usually reduced in price by about 25% and there is a sticker on it to let you know. That being said it's important to inspect your item because while Winn Dixie is the champion of value they are not the champion of disposing spoiled food... Another reason to love on this Winn Dixie is their growing "health" section. Its definitely one of the smaller ones at of all the WD's and it's certainly no Lucky's (RIP) or EarthFare (RIP). BUT they do have a decent selection of things such as chickpea pasta, lentil chips etc... etc... Every time I go it appears they add more to the lineup! Truth be told this is a solid grocery store. No bells or frills or glitter, just fairly priced food goods.

Shoutout Josiah customer service is top tier definitely made my day all the more betterread more
