With that recommendation in mind, my mother and I stopped by to see the shop when we were wandering through Owego to do a bit of shopping. We were delighted by the selections in this cute confectionery shop - and besides jars of my peanut butter and a couple selections of fudge, we also bought cheese, peanut brittle, and various jarred, pickled items. I'm much more a fan of savory vs. sweet, so it was nice to find selections that covered all kinds of tastes. The man tending the counter was an absolute sweetheart and offered to let us try samples of the fudge flavors before we made our selections. He was very courteous when assisting others in the store as well. My colleague also mentions this place has things like SO MANY basket options for the Easter holiday. It seems like they really prepare for the various holidays throughout the year + want to ensure they offer quality product. Great experience all around - I'm sure I'll be back (especially when I need more peanut butter!), and I'd recommend it to others as well. :)

When asked about various new brands of Rum displayed, they could describe the taste and flavor profiles. Fascinating! The wine selection was fair to good. Nothing too expensive but I am sure that it reflects their customers price points!! They do have a very large selection of everyday bourbons and whiskeys. Some upscale brands. I was under the assumption that maybe I was doing something wrong, or perhaps my crock-pot was shot and overcooking things. So this year, having just heard of butcher boys I purchased a 3 and 1/2 lb tip. Crock-Pot for 7 hours and oh my gosh it was perfect. Now that I know this place exists and I've had a good experience, I'm going to head back over and try a few more things, like for example I see on their website that they have duck breast. That will absolutely be my next purchase.
