When was the last time you referred to your grocery store as excellent under pressure? This is the time. Just had a burst of a storm blow through -- while several of us were in this Aldi. They quickly asked everybody to head to checkout. They had one half hour of power. They used flashlights, helped everybody through.
But when it was time to exit the store, the wind and rain were horizontal and you literally could not see out the doors. Then the outside carts, chained, came detached and rammed the doors.
Eventually it was just lots of rain and getting soaked. Several people made it out then. But then the lightning started. The kind people escorted me to my car to help load it more quickly. (I use a rollator and had a big box of groceries.)
They continued to get the store in shape for the power outage in parallel.
