This place is awesome! Most of the items they stock are in-house brands and the quality gives it's blue chip rivals a run for their money. At times, they come very close in packaging to what you may be familiar with. Swap a jar of Hellman's with Burman's in your fridge and I doubt anyone will notice (until they actually look at it up close). Rather sneaky, but hey, that's the free market for you. I ain't complaining though.
Mind you, I haven't tried all their products yet. But what I have gotten so far is all-around good quality. Their deli meats, the bread (which has a great consistency for sandwiches and is much better than Wal-mart's in my opinion), bagels, cream cheese, soups, crackers, snacks, etc. You name it. It's all good. The two items I like most are their Baker's Treat single-serve cherry pies and Benton's duplex cookies.
In regards to this particular location, the layout is easy to navigate around. Recalling from memory, from the entrance, I think at one time you would walk all the way through the first isle in order to get to the other sections. They've since changed that though which is a relief.
Be prepared to bring a bag or two. Aldi does provide their own, but it'll cost a few cents (which is obviously to encourage reuse and that's completely understandable). Thankfully their plastic ones are rather sturdy, but you're still better off with bags designed specifically for carrying groceries.
Overall, I give this Aldi five stars. It is in a convenient location, the layout itself is simplistic and easy to maneuver around, their affordable in-house label brands are of really good quality and the staff is great. read more
