I usually like Aldi, but I just had a very negative experience at the Norman location. It's a Tuesday morning and the line to checkout is wrapped around the store. At least 10 people waiting for one cashier, who has AirPods in and probably isn't paying attention. As the line is now blocking aisles, a worker tells me "you wanna" get out of the way? I get there might be a language barrier, but she was rude and oblivious to the fact that the cashier needed help. Maybe if there was a second cashier, the line wouldn't be snaking through the store. I also understand that they're reorganizing, but the store layout was drastically different than the last time I was here a few weeks ago. It made no sense at all, baking goods mixed in with housewares. Wine next to potato chips. It was hard to find anything. I probably would have spent much more if the aisles were organized better and the line wasn't so long. It felt like they just dumped items in random spots on the shelves. Aldi can do better. I hope this was just a fluke, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. read more

Aldi almost 3 times a week as it's close to my work and typically it's a good experience with friendly cashiers, quick in and out, never had an issue until today. I only had about five items and I put them in a small box that they provide and send it down the line And the cashier Anhminh(name on reciept)aggressively removes each item and scan them and then aggressively places them back in the box. He never greeted me and proceeds to say next time could you please take them out of the box and I'll put them back into the box, I then say sure not a problem as he finishes ringing me up I say thank you very much and he has no response whatsoever! It's people like this who make you not want to come back to the store, but I definitely will. That's why I love platforms like this to point out behaviors such as this man because although I will move on and have a great day, someone else may let little things like this linger so it's not really a small thing and needs to be brought to the light. read more

I really enjoy the convenience of a small store. My family teases my because I have found some things there like night gowns or utensils for the kitchen that I really enjoy. I even bought a grilling gazebo for my man and it was really nice. I also really appreciate the "Cheers" feeling -like everybody knows your name. They don't necessarily but it feels like that. Another thing I like is the quickness of the checkers. They are generally very efficient and friendly when checking you out. The final thing I really like about Aldi is the grocery pick up ordering I have done an order and the shopper has texted me about substitutions as they are shopping giving me a chance to make my preferences known as they are doing it. I love that! I also love the European style treats that they have- delicious! The only down side to me is they do run out of things sometimes or have limited supply or sometimes the really awesome deals on specialty items but that store may only get one of that item or none at all but if you are armed with that knowledge and a flexible heart it's worth those negatives to me as their prices are generally great and their items are good quality. So grab your quarter for the cart and your reusable shopping bags or plan to buy some there and enjoy Happy shopping! read more

I shop there once a week for commodity items, staples. milk orange juice eggs, etc. they are consistently out of the meat weekly sales items by the time I get there the evening of the same day the ad comes out. The story I get from the staff is the restaurant people come in and buy out ALL of the stock as they have no limits on how much one person can buy, just one of the quirks of this place, the other is they have such a high turnover of what they do have they run out of items and may not get them re-stocked for weeks, I like them but have come to realize they don't have everything I need read more

Ahh, Aldi. The primadonna of grocery stores. I love to shop here but they do have quirks. Some folks hate the cart situation. I think it's a splendid idea. I feel that the majority of the items they sell that they say are comparable to the national brands actually do meet or exceed the quality. I've only had two items I didn't like. One was battered fish planks which I returned, and after a small interrogation hassle, the clerk did a double guarantee. Meaning she replaced the product with a similar item and gave me a cash refund. They don't take manufacturers coupons for the few national brands that they do carry. White Castle burgers come to mind. Last week they had an item on sale in their weekly circular in which they never even stocked any at this location during the specified sale time. They don't give rain checks so I can forget getting that item at the killer price. A lot of the employees here have a bit of arrogance about them. Aldi is my favorite all-time grocery store. I've been to them in Europe and they are generally the same, perhaps an aisle or two bigger. Benefits: High quality foods, low prices, clean stores, friendly employees, and in and out fast. They have about 95% of anything I ever need in a grocery store and many things you can only find in specialty stores. Aldi is awesome and the only grocery store I care to shop at. read more
