But I love The Fresh Market and especially this one! Today they had Alaskan wild caught crab legs on sale. Now they're not usually in my budget but I decided to splurge except it was hard to get decent ones in my price range which was about a pound, pound and a half. The gentleman behind the meat counter (that was today, Friday, September 26 at about 12:30 PM) he was absolutely the best. He gave me a pound and a half breaking up a bag and taking out all the loose little bits so I didn't wind up with just shells. That was ao kind! It's clean, everyone is very friendly, it can get busy but they take it all in stride. If I could afford to do all my grocery shopping here, I would. It's always pleasant to walk into, it smells nice, the entrance is a little funky but that's just the design. People don't put their baskets up so it can block the entrance. That's not the store's fault and they do mind them often so it's not a permanent problem. I've had only one bad experience and it was in the bakery a few years ago. Everybody else has been so accommodating! I've been to their other stores in and around South Florida. They're all nice and clean but honestly, this is my favorite store hands-down. Don't come talking to me about Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, it's The Fresh Market for me!

There's plenty of parking under the big oaks along the side and also in the front. This place surpassed my expectations in their quality, quantity, selection, and customer service. I'm giving this place 5 stars and will definitely be back. I highly recommend you check them out!

However, over the past two years, we've had a few instances of inaccurate charges, including a few upcharges compared with the listed rate. The first two times, one could consider simple mistakes. However, the frequency of these errors feels like a bigger systemic issue that should be addressed. While we would love to visit this market more frequently, this issue has been a significant barrier. Future shoppers are advised to keep a close eye on their receipt to make sure that the charged rate reflects what was expected.

This is the worst Publix experience I've ever had! It was Sunday Feb 12…read more I drove FAR because I called and was told that this location had a "Great salad bar and wing bar too!!" after arriving I saw the store manager just staring leaning on a display... just standing there, not even saying hello to customers, BRO, you're the manager, I am a customer - stop acting like a teenager! Anyway, I went to the salad bar and it was completely empty, I literally thought it was closed so I asked a worker breaking down boxes "what are the salad bar hours?" and she replied, "there should be salad and wings there now but we are very understaffed" and she went back to what she was doing. So, I asked 2 young Publix workers (2 kids - girl long straight hair and a taller kid with black hair) standing in front of the deli counter if they could alert someone that the salad/wing bar was empty that I would do some shopping I planned on doing and returning for to the salad/wings bar they replied that they were going to go on break so they would do it when they returned. I've work at Publix before and I would been written up if I said I was "on break" without finding them help. So, I was just over it and as I was leaving... the manager was STILL just standing there. He had ZERO clue that his entire deli department was struggling. I told him what happened and why we were leaving and he said he would ask someone to help me... ummm aren't you the manager? I left with nothing and went to Walmart, YUP, Walmart has better service than this Publix - shocking.

On Murrell Rd. up in Rockledge, we had Earth Fare. And of course there are the constant rumors of finally having a Whole Foods here. But for some reason, what we had just suddenly closed. We did have local alternative groceries, which I am thankful for, but I know a larger alternative grocery would provide more options. Ergo, I am happy Sprouts decided to open here in Melbourne, FL, especially since I got to experience them in Tampa because my sister is a regional manager for their personal health department. Located on Hollywood Blvd., in the same plaza as LA Fitness Palm Bay, Sprouts is a stand-alone store that provides many of the same options both Lucky's and Earth Fare had. They have all the typical grocery departments including a bakery, deli, produce, personal health, and such. They do have an ambiance similar to our local Downtown Produce and the Thrifty Produce located in Rockledge on Eyester Blvd. For example, above their milk and diary wall, their signage is framed within a dairy farm setting. Other sections have old-time farmer's market signage above them complete with corrugated metal roofing and treated wood panels. Much of the base grocery is alternative healthier choices from what mainstream groceries provide. However, what stands out are their produce, meat and deli, and bakery. Everything is made fresh, and most are in-house. They provide freshly-squeezed juices, fresh-cut veggies and fruits, and pre-made meals that you can take home and cook. My personal favorite section is the personal care section, which provides alternative personal care and health options that actually work, from what I see. I definitely like the CBD gummies that provide sleep. There is much more to explore when I eventually go back here to Sprouts. For now, I am going to give the store a four out of five stars. They have everything you may want in an alternative grocery. The prices may be a little high, but that seems to be the case when it comes to quality. That is why Publix prices are usually higher than places like Walmart or Food Lion and so on. If this Sprouts remains consistent on their four-star quality and service on average (I'll give them a bad day or two), then they'll earn their fifth star for consistency.
