If they were indeed prepared and packaged the same day, then the deli Mgr should talk to his purveyor/supplier and check his source. Since there's not a lot of shopping choices in-between Malone and Champlain to the east on US 11 (which has another huge Price Chopper), you would certainly want a grocery store which has a lot of options and decent prices.
