I was excited to see they had Georgia Wild shrimp in 1lb, 2lbs, ad 5lbs bags. I got a 2lb bag. When I got home, the bag looked light, so I weighed it on my food scale and postal scale, and both showed 1.15 lbs. Thinking that I was given a 1lb bag by mistake, I went back to the store to let them know. The lady told me that my scale was faulty and needed to be recalibrated. I informed her I weighed it on TWO different scales. Then showed her a photo of the shrimp on my scale at 1.15lbs . She then put them back on her scale at the register and showed me 1.96 lbs (which still isn't 2). The gentleman said to give me a few more to get it to 2 lbs. She looked me in the eye and said, "Honey, a lb of shrimp is 21 shrimp. I guarantee it's 40, and you have 2 lbs. Recalibrate your scales." Some guy in the background yelled out, "Use tare." They never tried to test or "recalibrate" their scale. Unfortunately life has taught me that arguing with scammers is moot and I already wasted too much time with these people so I just left feeling salty and cheated. However, on the way home I figured I must have been overcharged on the other produce since that's the scale they used for everything. When I got home, I weighed all the produce and saw that NOTHING was equal to weight it said on my receipt. As for my scales and weighing know-how, I run an online business and use the postage scale daily. My numbers always match the numbers at UPS and USPS so I know my scales are right. I also recalibrated them and got the same thing. However I am a science based professional so to test I weighed a 1lb bag lentils from my pantry and jar honey I bought from them both items were correct. I've attached photos of all of this. I have never had a problem with anything purchased here, and frankly, I would rather pay a local farmer for produce and eggs whenever I can. I much prefer this rather than the trucked-in stuff at large chain markets. Large chain markets have their place, but small community stores like this build community spirit and help our local farmers.

Walk In: The main thing I wanted to check out first was if they accepted Apple Pay, and they said yes. Actually that was the wrong question but I'll come to that later. First thing that I actually noticed was how clean the store actually was. I was very impressed as I've read reviews on other Aldi's and......you know the rest. Shopping around: Now as I did love the selection, I also loved the prices. The prices pretty much beat that of Kroger and Publix, however anyone else will say that Publix and Kroger has better meat selections with much fresher fruit. As I wasn't in the market for fruit today but only meats and beans, I faired very decently on pricing. They also have a lot of nice vegan items for you vegans but I'm a meat freak so I left the vegan stuff for you hardcore vegans out there. They also have some nice wines at a very low cost and I will also say this, if any of you are on a budget and have to feed a family of 4 for a couple of days, this is the place for you. Checking out: Now when I first arrived at the store the parking lot was semi full. Only 2 registers are open and there is also employees on the floor to help you find anything you need. When it was my time to check out, the line moves very quickly!! Don't let a long line at Aldi's fool you as they are really quick. She asked how I would be paying and I said Apple Pay. Yet I should have said Apple Cash. That didn't matter anyway because their systems are set up to accept Apple Pay or cash, so you won't have a problem there. Would I go back?? Absolutely!!

I understand they are timed but the line wasn't being held back and hadn't even started scanning the person behind me. She was ugly as soon as I got in line and afterwards. Aldi's is a decent shopping store if you know what you are looking for…read more As others mentioned, their produce is "okay," and honestly, you will get better quality and prices on most produce at Costco's, but Aldi's is excellent for soft cheeses (for sandwiches, burgers, etc..) and hard cheese (Asiago, Gouda, Parmesan, Cheddar), crackers, organic soups and pastas, sauces, and those sort of things. The staff at this location are always really friendly, and I appreciate that. As others have mentioned, keep in mind that off-brand items are less expensive, but name-brand items will cost more here than in your regular grocery store. A good example is I like Chobani Key Lime Greek Yogurt, and a 4-pack is usually around $5, and they have an Aldi's version, which tastes almost the same and costs half the price. Remember, you do need to pay a quarter to use a cart and bring your own bags, but I just put my stuff in the empty cardboard boxes they have and recycle them when I get home.
