Now this Market doesn't have the largest selection you could find, but the quality and prices are probably the best around. Besides all the fresh fruit and vegetables, they have jars of jellies and fresh herbs. Most of the items are locally sourced with some brought in from nearby states. One of the nice things they had was pre-sliced watermelon ... so one doesn't have to buy a whole watermelon and can just get a small quarter or half for a smaller family. Their corn was excellent, and it is in perfect season right now. All-in-all this place was a winner. The people running the place are very nice and keep everything moving. Give this local operation a try. Recommended.

The farm stand is in a pair of buildings at this time and they have enough room to expand when more vegetables are harvested. We were not here earlier in the year when the greenhouse does business. There is also a U-Pick section, but we did not try that. We thought it funny when we came to the unshucked corn that there were a few signs warning us to not peel back the husk to look at the corn. We followed the rules and trusted in the product, and we were pleasantly surprised. When we cooked it up later, the corn was perfect and tasty. So even though we did not have the fun of peeling the husks, the corn was VG. We will be back.

My parents and I went to Johnson's Farm Produce in the middle of September to see the sunflowers…read more While this was fun, the sunflowers weren't as tall as we were expecting even though we went right in the heart of sunflower season. Inside the sunflower patch, there were also numerous photo opportunities and props, which made for a unique experience. They had three fields: sunflowers: pumpkins: vegetables. The tractor ride to the different fields was nice and the employees that helped people get on and off the tractor were kind and friendly. There was also a wheelchair user, so they made the attractions accessible for them, which made me enjoy the farm a lot more. My advice for visiting this family-friendly farm is to plan ahead of time and keep track of the sunflower season if you want to see big, tall sunflowers. Even if you don't visit for the sunflower, they still have plenty of other activities to do and things to shop for. Another activity I enjoyed were the apple cannons. There is a big set up with junk and signs that you can hit with apples that shoot out of a cannon. It's a lot of fun and it's really easy to do!
