WE stopped in to check out the 1LB Frozen lobster and bought some nice-looking Breads and the Rib Steak we are going to try along with the lobster, The Multi Grain bread was very good as toast and the baguette was just as good, we will shop again read more

I was totally impressed with the professionalism and kindness demonstrated by Melvin at the Aldi in Langhorne (near Target). Melvin was checking out a senior gentleman in front of me and he was patient when answering the customer's questions. Melvin took his time and treated the customer with genuine care and extreme KINDNESS! When it was my turn Melvin was just as kind. When my transaction was done I ran to look for a manager so that I could compliment Melvin's work only to find out that Melvin was the manager! I made sure I thanked Melvin on my way out and I hope his managers/supervisors commend him for a job well done! Did I say he did everything with a smile!!!! Thank you, Melvin!!! read more

I've been an Aldi fan of sorts since I first shopped at one in Florida a few years back. I have to say though, the luster on the whole Aldi concept is really wearing off. First things first, what makes Aldi a worthwhile store to visit? Their prices are basically on par with Target, sure, but Target offers a better selection, more organics and brands everyone is familiar with. That's not to mention you can get tons of other non grocery items there, plus they have a Starbucks! With the exception of the occasional oddball items like delicious "cave cheese" from Transylvania and siracha lime popcorn and their great German confections of course, Aldi has NOTHING going for them. Still, (mostly out of feeling bad for them I think) I grabbed a few items I though would be good for my kids lunch bags and headed to checkout. What do I find there? A solitary checkout line open and 5 people with full carts waiting as the packed belt is slowly scanned. No express lane. No self checkout. Just a line of disgruntled shoppers waiting to leave. The lack of cashiers is really annoying and very insensitive on the part of management and truth be told it's usually the same story at every branch. Not wanting to waste my time and not very enthusiastic about what I chose to buy, I would up leaving my cart and walking out. Speaking of carts Aldi, what's with the stupid quarter deposit? Are people really stealing all the carts? I've been shopping at Target forever and I've never seen a rogue Target cart in my life. But sure, make me scramble to find a quarter when I arrive and then have to abandon it when I don't want to wait 15 minutes on line to buy no name animal crackers and pretzels. Ugh, this place is the worst and honestly they deserve to be out of business. read more

The concept is a good one. Visit any Costco and you will see it done extremely well. Warehouse size store and warehouse prices. At this Aldi's on Woodbourne Road in Langhorne, Pa., they get the pricing part right, but the size and functionality of the space totally wrong. This is a shop about the size of a large Wawa, but designed in the 1990's with completely inefficient layout, and snail paced cashier check outs. The products are stacked onto shelves in their original boxes, with the discount prices listed above or below. If you see something you need/want, it is easy enough to grab it and put it in the broken down supermarket carts that cost a quarter to unshackle out front. They are rusty and in need of maintenance. The fresh produce is hit or miss. The bakery items limited. There are plenty of canned and boxed goods, mostly from labels I never heard of. Plenty of cold cereals. The check out line is long and slow, made worse by the absence of bags. You have to bring your own or use the boxes in the store. That's okay, but the people loading them on the shelf beyond the two cashiers make for more congestion and confusion. The shop has seen better days. It is disheveled like a permanent bad hair day. It looks like it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned nor painted in the past decade. For me, it is not worth the small savings to experience the depression I feel walking around the store. This Aldi's needs an extreme makeover in the worst way. It is the sister of one of my favorite stores, Trader Joe's. How they can be siblings is beyond me. It sure needs more love and attention. read more

Always a good experience when I visit this Aldi. They have a great selection, and cashiers are always efficient and friendly.

I am so glad this store exists. It has saved my wife and I so much money. People shy away from Aldi stores because of the lack of variety, but it's great. They have everything you would need in regards to groceries, and even more. Their brands of food is great and I am usually a person who always wants name brand foods. Their produce and meat is very fresh. Instead of me getting items and food that is not needed that may go bad when I shop at a grocery store or Walmart, I get necessary items at this store. Their employees are great, they are rock stars and don't let lines get too long. Randomly, Their crumb cake is so good! My one wish is that they had more fresh parsley and basil in their produce area, but other than that, it's a great store read more

I have stopped in at this Aldi's on a few occasions out of curiosity - mostly to look for items that are different from those at the supermarket, but occasionally, because it was on our route and we needed a few foodstuffs they were likely to have. The products seem to be hit and miss. Items such as triscuit-like crackers, almond milk, peanut butter, chocolate, and frozen desserts did not, to me, compare in taste and quality with (more expensive) brand items at local supermarkets. One dessert we tried, a chocolate and caramel turtle "cheesecake," turned out to be unbaked, overly sweet, industrial glop. We had more success with imported Italian pasta, tomato sauce, sliced black forest ham and a package of sliced gouda cheese. On one recent visit, a bag of multi-grain seed bread had a fly buzzing around in it. I suppose that might happen anywhere, but it discouraged me from purchasing a different package of the same product. (I brought the package to a checkout counter so another customer would not purchase it.) I don't mind the concept of bringing one's own bags and depositing 25 cents for a cart to encourage its return to the cart station, although that might put disabled customers at a disadvantage. The staff are friendly and process orders quickly, but the lines are often long when only one or two cashiers are working. It is fun to stop in here and browse, but my favorite local supermarket does not have to worry that I will be lured away. My rating is waving back and forth between two and three stars. Consider this a 2 1/2 star rating. read more

This was a Bottom Dollar store when built. Fast forward 18 months and the store has been retro fitted as an Aldi. It is the largest type of store in the Aldi chain. It is new, beautiful but a tad of a chore to get into and out of safely. The items carried are of good quality and very well priced so a budget minded shopper will go ga-ga for their prices and selections. Also a great place for party snacks and with the Super Bowl not far off this is the go to spot for supplies. We have always been pleased with their offerings, hopefully you will too. read more

After hearing all the hoopla about the Organics at Aldi I decided to try it again. What I found was 99% of the stuff in the store is crap like every other grocery store. I did find a good price on a small organic blueberries 269. I picked up some bananas same price as every other store for Organics and a bottle water same price as every other store. When I got to the checkout there was no Express checkout so I left my stuff and walked out. Don't believe all the advertising that you hear it's the same crap different store. read more

This store is full of the most awful type of food I've ever seen in a grocery store. For anyone who's trying to eat healthy food and is budget minded their produce is really not that reasonable considering it is either the same price as other grocery stores or about to go bad. Sure you could go here and get your new from snacks or you could go to the dollar store and just get them there. I feel sorry for anyone who feels like this is their only option but its not. Look in the sale circulars and you'll see that you can get much better quality food for less when it's on sale at other stores. read more

ALDI, ROCKS. Well run clean store nice staff. The interesting thing about this store that the buyers of there brands seem to actually try and research the products. We have found a large majority of Aldi brands are as good as or substantially better then the name brand, and of course at substantial savings. That's a bargin for sure. read more

I was so upset when they closed the Bottom Dollar in this location but can honestly say I'm pleasantly surprised with the Aldi! I find the prices to be very reasonable. I do a lot of baking and the price for nuts are the best around. I also find the price for their fruits and veggies are comparable but in better condition than Super Walmart. Not all of the products are as tasty as the brands, but are good on the whole! Definitely glad Aldi decided to open up in this location! read more

I typically love Aldi because I can save so much money shopping here! Aldi became a hugely essential part of my life when I was in college and constantly went to the one in Lake Grove, New York on Long Island. I could walk out with several weeks' worth of groceries for $70. Since I've moved to Levittown, Pennsylvania, I've come to this Aldi a few times, but it isn't that great of an Aldi. The biggest issue at this store, for which it loses several stars, is that the produce is often rotting or on the verge of rotting. I've actually seen strawberries here with mold on them. The same thing for lemons. And for potatoes, I've also seen them oddly discolored and full of sprouts. I stopped buying any fresh vegetables or fruits here and I only buy boxed, non-perishable items, and sometimes bread. That means I have to get much of my shopping done at another grocery store, and because I'm actually trying to eat more fresh foods, I rarely have need to come here anymore since I'll only probably get one or two items anyway, and the cheaper price doesn't make up for the inconvenience of having to go there just for a couple of things. read more
