I had one of the worst experiences of racism at the Harwood Heights location. I was simply smelling products, like we all tend to do before purchasing, when the Asian store manager accused me of doing something illegal. He then told me, "you people are not welcome here." This was blatant racial profiling. Instead of treating me with respect as a customer, I was humiliated, judged unfairly, and made to feel unwelcome because of my race. I left the store feeling deeply hurt and shocked that this could happen in 2025. No customer should ever be treated this way. For a manager to behave like this makes it even more disturbing. Businesses should be safe, welcoming spaces for everyone, and this type of discrimination cannot be ignored. I am sharing my experience to warn others and to urge corporate to hold this location accountable. read more

I like this Aldi store in Harwood Hights of Chicago. When I'm in town, I try to get few items that I can't find in Tucson since we don't have an Aldi store and the nearest one is in Phoenix. Today, I did not find what I needed so I will have to try again tomorrow. This store has a nice variety of items for the value and it's a "sister" store of TJ's for those who don't know. The store offers self-checkout which is quick and the shelves are pretty well stocked with many different items especially now for the holidays. Update: Went to the Niles location and found the items I needed. Aldi has the best European dark and milk chocolate which are made in Germany, Rainforest Alliance Certified. Milka chocolate is another brand that sometimes you can find at Aldi but other stores like World Market or Fresh Farms store in Chicago has many times from this brand. read more

Nice sized pahking lot, the store itself is also a nice size, it's efficient and scaled down, and thus, makes it easy to shop for your items. And this Aldi is quite far from me but it's newer. I like how all the sale items are clustered together. I also appreciate the German snacks and quality wine and scotch. I haven't been to an Aldi that I didn't like, to be perfectly and unabashedly honest. There's a large Eastern European population around here and I'm sure they appreciate the German stuff too. Just make sure to bring a few of your own recyclable shopping bags to help the environment. read more

They have all the groceries I need for our house and for daily life. You can save a lot of money here compared to other store. This ALDI is so big, they got the perfect location, and they also have huge parking lot. Their store is always clean and nicely organized, overall looks much better than other store. I have been here in ALDI a few times and definitely a nice store for grocery shopping. Parking lot is huge. The store itself is clean, organized and fully stocked. The produce and meat section is always full of fresh and quality fruits, vegetables and different kinds of meat. The store is big and the aisles are spacious and it is easy to navigate around and look for everything I needed. All the items I needed in a daily basis which is basically what I bought always in my groceries are all available in here and I also add few imported and unique products that can also be found inside. They really has a good selection of goodies. I always go home with a smile because I am glad that I am able to get everything I needed. Checkout is quick too. ALDI is my go to store during this time of pandemic since it is the most convenient for me. I love ALDI because all that I needed in my house are here. They have a decent collection of goods including meats, fruits, vegetables, canned goods, even imported goods and the likes. Everything are in a good condition and has a nice quality. All of them are well-stocked and organized. The produce products are always fresh and new. Every items are low cost which is a good thing because I can save more money with groceries and stuff. Even though I rarely visit this grocery store, I am always glad with the experience each time I would go here for groceries just like recently. I rarely go in here because it is far from my place and there are grocery stores that is near it and going in here would be a little hassle but not recently because I did something and it was near the location so I decided to dropped by and buy some fresh and good quality goodies. Aldi definitely has a grocery item where literally everything is fresh. I like their produce and meat section not only because it is fresh and has a good quality but also because it has a better reasonable price. Another good thing about the store is their organic options to every product I could tell and I could want. The store is also clean and the layout is easy plus there are a lot of signage everywhere and every corner in the store making it so easy for me to find anything. A nice CLEAN Aldi that usually isn't very crowded. I like many of the Aldi "special buy" products and am a huge fan of their products. I find the produce doesn't last much longer than 3-4 days in the refrigerator before going soft. I don't purchase much Aldi meat but the Skirt Steak is good - especially if you marinate it to help break down fat and tenderize it. Dry goods have a nice shelf-life and long expiration date. Felt like I hit the jackpot earlier! The Aldi's store on Harlem Ave. has re opened today, after remodeling. And, I must say, I was quite impressed! It's nice and open, so nicely organized, and seems like they're carrying a lot more items. The Grand Re Opening is tomorrow morning, so, depending on the weather, I might just go back for it! Beats having to go down to Central and Diversey or Brickyard for the Aldi's. This one just seems like "home" to me! read more

This Aldi was under construction while I was there but I believe this is exterior only. This is a pretty good Aldi. I was very impressed with their fruit and vegetable quality control it all looked very fresh. There wasn't any empty racks sitting out or tons of empty boxes as I've seen at other places. I have only been in this store once before and I will never go back! The current flyer advertised a bed assist for $14.99. My husband recently fell and fractured his spine. The physical therapist recommended the bed assist. I saw this in the flyer and went to buy it. The bed assist never came in! That is false advertising; it is nothing but a price leader to get people in the store to buy other things. The store was a total mess!! I had to hunt someone down to help me find it. I knew that helping customers was the last thing that she wanted to do. I will never go in Aldi's again and will not even look at their dishonest flyer! Aldi is great the prices are also very good and there is a lot to choose from. It's a European style supermarket. The baked chips they sell taste really good. Make sure you have something to carry your grocerys though they don't give free bags. read more
