All of the staff was dressed up in Halloween costumes, which made it fun for the families too. Pie pumpkins were only $1 each, and these came in a variety of sizes from small to medium. Also, the small white pumpkins were only $1 each as well. Bales of hay are $6 a piece, and bushels of corn were $5 each. Also available was Indian corn bushels, pumpkins by the pound, and other decorations. They had lots of baked goods for sale, well as apple cider, popcorn and other goodies. The staff were very helpful and even offered to carry my items to the counter for me while I was shopping. One of the staff loaded my car with the bale of hay and corn bushels. She has her favorite booths and at least one of them knows her by name. For part of the year (the warmer part) they are open on Tuesdays too and have a couple specials. One is the "sprouts" program for kids. It's free and upon entering, kids are given two wooden tokens to be used at a few booths for a cup or blueberries or an apple or whatever they have that day. Also on Tuesdays, the bakery makes brick oven pizza that you need to try!

There are many reasons for this -- my mother just died and I over ate out of grief, for one. When I walked in one of the cashier's gave me a side leer and smirked. I thought "that was weird." I got dirty looks from three other workers. Now true, no one said "hello fatso", but I was wearing nice clean clothes and my hair was done and there was no other reason to give me a dirty look. I will never be back and shame on anyone who works there who did that to me who calls themselves a Christian. Being an Amish doesn't make you holy. The food looks amazing though.
