We had a nice time here today picking blueberries. I think we picked around 20 pounds when all was…read moresaid and done. Around $40 if $2/lb. The place was easy to find and once you see the sign, drive straight and then take a right at the end. You'll see other cars and the picnic tables/weigh area. They had free bug spray, sunscreen, and stuff for sale like popsicles for $1, ice cream for $2, water for $.50, Uncrustables for cheap, etc. They lend you baskets, but they charge for the use and she said something about returning them. I would ask them for more details, because we didn't borrow them, so I may be wrong. We brought our own and they weigh the basket beforehand so they don't charge your basket's weight. Bring your own... even a tupperware works! We brought oversized cups-- like you get at a movie theatre. Worked great and easy to hold. The only worker we met was very nice. She was helpful and polite. Only one critique because it bothered me... there's a short newspaper clipping hanging near the picnic tables (from 2008?) interviewing Mama Carter and she mentioned (IMO unnecessarily) that their great (great?) grandfather has deep NC roots and would often don his confederate army gear. It was almost written as a point of pride and as an American who believes in equal rights and civil rights, I would not find that to be something to boast about. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Being interviewed, you can share many things about your family's history that show pride about living in NC but celebrating how your family roots date back to supporting racist, slave-owning efforts was a bummer. I encourage the current owners, probably family members, as the Carters have passed away, to consider taking that clipping down and celebrate their long legacy of blueberry planting/harvesting in a more inclusive way.

Blueberry Bonanza! We arrived early on a Saturday morning and were greeted so warmly. I described…read morethe huge amount of recipes I wanted to make and was informed that possibly two of the buckets full would be needed. We were offered some bug spray and also told that because of the rain it would be muddy and buggy out there. I wore some knee high rubber boots so I was ready! Row upon row of plump beautiful blueberries were just waiting to be picked, and in only about an hour and a half we had already filled our buckets. The price can not be beat for this quality. We paid only $20 for alllllll those berries and the buckets and two waters. I made muffins, bread, cobbler, pie, savory flatbreads, simple syrup, a sauce for pork, and frozen dog treats! This was a really fun activity that also provided some delicious treats!

When I finally get to the line... they are out of tenders at 12:45!!!! HOW ARE YOU OUT OF TENDERS ARE LUNCH TIME! They didn't offer to give us a wait time. They just pretty much told us to get BENT!! We had service members waiting in line before me. They are only on lunch for AN HOUR!!! They went back to lunch hungry because yall were really just too lazy to give customer service. Why in the world would you see your outta something and not think to drop more tenders!!! I will be filing a complaint because how does the manager accept this kinda service. Everybody in the back giggling why people are waiting almost an hour for subs!!! Worse Publix is experience I have ever had! If I could rate 0 I would because you obviously have trained your staff to move with purpose or customer service!!!

Very nice offer. They also give a welcome gift when you sign up for rewards program. Good price on fresh cut flowers. I've had fried chicken at a family event from Publix and the chicken was really good. I plan on trying more from the hot foods when I stop back in. Grocery store well lite (indoor & outdoor) and clean even the restrooms.
