This comparison to Simply is refreshing so I bought 2 for my cocktail drinks. 5/31/2022

It's Tuesday 5/31/2022 and I am pleased to update my 6/21/2017 past Review. This location has been remodeled with larger shopping areas and well stocked for their current sale. Upon entering the store with sale items on my list, their Fresh Produce is organized with lower prices than other stores and markets. (Photos attached). I was greeted throughout my shopping visit by three different employees who were asking if I was finding items alright or needing any assistance. Check Out Aldi brands in comparison to well-known brands for their great taste, and lower prices, especially Clancy's Snacks, Mill Cereal, Aldi Dairy, Aldi Canned Vegetables, Soups, Pasta. Also Spices, There's Baking Items, Frozen Foods, Ice-cream, Vegetables, Cold Juices, Coffee, Bakery, Frozen Appetizers. I've bought Fresh Meat & Poultry, Pork Tenderloin, Seafood are my choices. Plus they sell throughout the store a phenomenal line of Organic products, German Beers, Assorted Low Price Wines. Aldi offers their Twice As Nice Guarantee so save your receipt if you purchase their brand name item and are not completely satisfied with a reason. They offer large shopping baskets for .25 to use or if shopping lightly or quickly then bring your own shopping bag or buy their Aldi bags at check out as well. Most Aldi stores offer the same sale items or weekly ad items but if a certain location does not stock they will offer to help you locate based on truck delivery and availability. Aldi stores has home decorative items, garden, toys, clothing, shoes, candles, tools or gadgets based on the holiday or seasons of the year. Aldi is known for its low prices and no fancy store design. One reason the prices are so low is that a majority of the groceries it carries are private label. Aldi offers customers quality at the best price. By the way their cousin store is Trader Joe's. I look forward to shopping at this Aldi with the many friendly, helpful and hard working employee who maintain and service it with strong interest and standards. 5/31/2022

I will forever love Aldi and all their amazing deals that I find. That is all. You can find anything from clothes, to bed sets, to food, to household necessities. Someone keep my away from here before I buy out the store.

It took me longer than maybe it should have to realize the greatness and value in Aldi! My top three grocery stores have now become Aldi, Meijer thrifty acres and Costco! Aldi has its own signature brand, Clancy's. Most of these items are produced in brand-name factories. As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by the potato chip aisle and savings are immediately obvious. I've tried just about every type they sell and they're all great. Milk, eggs, Keurig cups, cleaning supplies and all your staples are always much cheaper than everywhere else- big-time. Ice cream? It's top quality and great tasting under two dollars for half a gallon all day every day. Meats? All good, even stocking organic goods. Veggies are not the largest variety, but basics are there as well as organic. There are housewares are always of good quality and great prices. There is always different products to find. I have purchased a pressure cooker for around $40, a knock off Yeti cooler for $70, VR googles for $25. All great products found for a great price. Discover where quality meets value. Be sure to bring a quarter to rent a shopping cart and your own bags, as they don't provide these. You do get your quarter back and get too keep more money in your wallet. *a note to state Aldi DOES accept credit cards!

Newly remodeled, this Aldi location is now as good as new. What was once dark, dirty and hard to maneuver through is now bright and clean with wide isles. ALDI's brand products are great price but their low price tags does not mean comprised quality. Everything I have purchased from ALDI's has exceeded my expectations. But even if it doesn't, they offer a "Twice as nice Guarantee". If ever you are not satisfied with a Aldi product they will reimburse you your money back AND let you chose another product of your liking. How can you go wrong with that! As a large family, with 5 kids, I'm usually shopping at one of their locations 2x a week. Staples are bread ($.79), milk ($1.88gal), bagels ($1.49), bags baby spinach ($1.09), sunflower seeds ($2.19 1# bag) and frozen potatoes (2#/$1.45) just to name a few items. If you e never been to ALDI's it's important to know you must bring your own bags to pack your items in, or you can purchase some there for $.10-$1.99, depending on the kind of bag. Also, if you plan on a big shopping trip, bring a quarter to use their shopping basket. This ensures you return the basket to the cart corral, and they are not left all over the parking lot. I'm a fan of Aldi- their low prices and quality products keep me coming back. Oh- FYI, ALDI's is owned by Trader Joe's.

Review #539…read more 2/28/2026 Today I can certainly update My previous review which was only for the sit down restaurant or cafe back on 3/29/2019. Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace is My nearby and Go to store for many things from Fresh Produce, Flowers, Ready House Made Meals to Go, Popcorn, Handmade Croutons, Salsas, Wines and their decadent desserts to name a few of My favorites shopping items! This weekend was their Strawberry Sale .99 cents for a 1 # package, Garlic Bread for $1.99 and Mini Bay Scallops $8.99# that were fresh and easy to sauteed and bread bake. Upon Walking in the store stop and view the History Story of the Strawberry and trademark of Nino Salvaggio. Get your photo taking within the two cute figure Strawberry Statues. :-) Photos attached There's a cooler too with strawberry items on sale as well. I bought the strawberry fluff and Oh My Deeeelicious it is. After this review will be posted My many true, helpful and informative photos to assist shoppers as well. Nino Salvaggio has been in business throughout Michigan with many locations since 1978 with 4 locations and coming soon in Livonia on Schoolctaft. The Staff work hard every time I walk in restocking fresh fruit or vegetables that are higher quality than supermarket stores. The premade meals to go are reasonable price or weekly specials help shoppers plan their meals as well. During the holidays and sales they will email you the specials of the week so sign up for emails and then a customer will receive the special rewards price and also add to your Rree membership. In their newsletter will be the specials, recipes, and a story about a sale item which is good! The Bakery is always stocked with single rolls, 4 or 6 packs or dozen. Refrigerated desserts, shelf desserts or see Ann in the Bakery to order My favorite, single cannolis, eclairs, cream puffs or creme brulee treats. There's iskes of wine labeled by flavor to assist and liquor behind the counter. I shop here for Single or 6 packs of POLISH Beer is unbelievable! The pre-made soups, salads, pizza, pastas, and other meals are worth the taste after baking at home. I enjoyed the clam chowder soup this Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th of - 2 pints. The chowder had Great flavor like at a restaurant They even sell Safe Pet Calcium Chloride for the snow in the winter months along with different needed items outside the store under the building such as Spring Flowers, Fall Flowers and Holiday Items. The store areas are always clean and plenty of employees working hard to assist you when you have a question or looking for a item. Its a Family business where customers are treated as family too! Prices are slightly higher than grocery stores but its all about the hard work in cleaning, cutting and preparing the specialty meals, dishes, party trays, ready to bake entrees is what matters by freshness and packaging from the employees that enjoy their jobs here at Nino's. I glad to be a shopper here weekly for those special ideas and deals that help Me create and make my tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy My posted photos attached to help and assist future Yelp friends and shoppers decide what they want to make, and enjoy tasting with their creativity Cooking Skills! Smaczne ! Sincerely, Karen N. :-) Macomb, MI.

I am embarrassed to admit, it had been a while since we last shopped here. But our visit last week…read morereminded us that this is one awesome store. We have a few other fruit markets in the area, but this has become my latest favorite. Every twist and turn through the store offers another product to try. We came in for nothing in particular but left with a cart full. I like that they have half pies for smaller families. Their homemade soups are really good. We tried the chicken lemon rice and the chicken pot pie. Their fruits and veggies are fresh, unlike the grocery stores at times. Oh and that freshly popped smell when we walked in had us making a beeline straight to the popcorn counter. Their fresh salsa is pretty good and their homemade chips I really like. The spinach artichoke dip is very good too. We'll be going back soon for another round of 'let's try this'. We've only just begun our taste testing.

I usually go to the Dream Market on 15 Mile to pick up fresh Samoon and Khubz, but this time I…read moredecided to go a little further north to this location. Let me say that this 18 Mile store is the superior store. The interior is much larger, which is able to easily accommodate the large number of patrons without feeling way too crowded like the other store. This location also has a bakery area, large prepared foods counter, another area specifically for mezze and various salads/dips, and two huge aisles/areas filled with bulk spices, snacks, and candies. I thought the 15 Mile location had everything and was the best Middle Eastern/Iraqi market in Metro Detroit, but this place takes it to another level. Both locations always seem to have huge lines for fresh bread. Here, the samoon is 4/$1 for some of the freshest and puffiest bread you can find. The samoon are a little smaller than other places and don't have as much of a fire charred flavor, but they are fluffy, easily pull apart to reveal the pocket in the middle, and are the cheapest by far. The other location used to brush the samoon with olive oil and sesame seeds, but they didn't do it here. I'm not sure if it's just here or both places stopped. At any rate, there's a reason there is always a huge line for bread. In addition to samoon, the bakery area has sweet breads and khubz. We picked up some generically labelled "Sweet Pies" that were 4/$5.99 on a whim and wow, after trying it, I was super impressed. It's spiral layered dough that's soaked in sweet orange blossom water and then covered with pistachios and earthy spices, perhaps cardamom and cinnamon? The sugary mixture caramelizes on the bottom of the pastry and when baked, it creates a fantastic fried caramelized texture around the edges. I wish I knew the actual name of this sweet; I tried searching online but I couldn't find anything resembling it! From the prepared foods area, we picked up a giant 12 inch diameter Meat Pie (Aroog) for only $1. It turned out be be pretty mild in flavor and wasn't the most appealing to eat, but it was good to try. The mezze counter is so busy they have a number system so you know when you can order. We ended up only getting tabbouleh ($5.99/lb) but everything looked delicious. The tabbouleh here is the real deal, mixed with tons of parsley, onions, tomatoes, and bulgur. The amount of oil and lemon juice added is perfect; this tabbouleh honestly is cheaper and better than what you can get at many restaurants. It tasted very fresh - I saw a ton of people getting this, so I can imagine they constantly make more and refresh the offering. I didn't get the garlic or hummus this time - I've gotten them from the other store in the past and I have to say that they are kind of mediocre. The garlic is overly lemony and the hummus tastes like grocery store hummus. Perhaps this location is better; I'll have to try next time. At the end of our visit, we hit up the bulk section where we found a variety of things to try. Grilled Cashews ($6.77/lb) - These are extra crunchy cashews, skin on, salted, with a slight char taste. They have an aromatic, toasted flavor that is a step above your ordinary conventional roasted cashew. Unique and very yummy. Various Kri Kri/Japanese Peanuts ($3.99/lb) - Yum! These are peanuts covered with hard fried dough, then sprinkled with various flavors. Some are slightly sweet, some are very spicy. The coating has a very hard crunch - it feels like you could chip your teeth if you're not careful. I'm usually hesitant on buying bulk goods since they can get stale, but this store has such high turnover that everything seems to be super fresh. I'm used to buying the Kasugai brand roasted nuts assortment, which is way more expensive for the weight, so I thought this was a great deal. Funny thing is that apparently the Japanese Peanuts were invented in Mexico and in Japan, they call these Mexican Peanuts. Ulker Toffee Mastic Candy ($5.99/lb) - Woah, first time we tried mastic candy. It's like a hard taffy with a sweet, pine tar-like taste. After eating one, I determined this candy is not for me! Must be an acquired taste! We got so much food to try and we didn't even hit any of the aisles in the middle for normal groceries or frozen foods. There's just so much to look at in this store! This will be my go-to store from now on whenever I'm in Sterling Heights.

I stopped here too, today Tuesday August 15th…read more My main purchase was sweet corn. Now this location was $0.25 cheaper = $4.75 a dozen. This farm business had more white corn to choose from and the bi-color + also yellow. I bought 6 White and 6 Bi-Color to make my dozen. After parking, are large wagons carts already sorted with colored corn to bag up faster. Then pay inside and/or shop also for vegetables and FRUIT. Everything is arranged very nicely, labeled properly with signs to read prices. I bought 3 nectarines the size of a softball at $1.29# I will try and if they're juicy and sweet, then I'll come back for more. There are some summer help "students" working along with 2 old time sisters.. Owner Virginia is 84 and sister Marianne is 82. Both of them work here to keep busy with their "senior peppy energy" since it's their family business! I did not get their names, shame on me, but I will have to go back and buy some more delicious corn. I had one of each color for dinner today and it was perfect and did not need any salt because it was sweet enough. The history of this farm goes back many years since 1926 , see my photo with the sign to prove. Also do the math it's 92 years old. Its a very well-kept farm with competitive pricing and fresh produce. I have in the past bought 2 or 3 beautiful, full size hanging baskets with 6 different plants in pot at lower prices than English Gardens, or Weigands. Shhhh Again I look foward also at the end of July and the month of August to buy from this location. Clap your hands, Thumbs up for these Farmers, that are still working hard over many years, down the line carrying on the growing farm tradition and their family business name. Let's support your neighbor, the farmers that I've been here way before any other residents in this crazy busy city of Macomb Township. I am happy to drive up, stop and shop to support them! ;)
