its not in the best condition but its not too bad either. I prefer the heroes park in murrieta/winchester over this park. the small dog park area is far too small compared to the big dog park

I was there yesterday from 3-4pm with. My black dog was having fun and being well behaved along with my girlfriends dog. Who was a white schnoodle. When between 345-4pm. My dog was violently attacked by two dogs one was on leash and the owner who was a female. She was roughly 5'5 to 5'7 average build, dark brown / black hair, wore glasses had a a blue sweat shirt with a zipper and camouflage work out pants and was unable to control her dogs. Her dog that was on the leash lunged forward then quickly attacked my dog from behind while the other was attacking my dog from the front The two dogs looked like they were a mix of German Shepard breed. Both were black and stood tall with a little bit of white/grey hair noticeable on their legs. Both of the dogs had a choke collar on weighed min 90-100bs. The woman who never apologized for her dogs attacking my dog quickly left the place so I was unable to get her info as I was checking to see if my dog was okay and had any marks or blood on them. I will upload photos so if anyone was there on Sat 2/08/2020 They can report this woman and her dogs to animal services. PLEASE BE ON ALERT IF YOU SEE THESE DOGS WHETHER IT's AT ALDERGATE DOGPARK OR ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! I had to go to the emergency vet for surgery and the bill was $1257!!!

Great dog park! Plenty of room to run and relax. A large variety of dog breeds are typically here. The water fountain makes for a muddy mess though. Once this gets resolved it will make for a better experience.

This park is dirty af! No body picks up their dogs crap! There's flies every where, it's muddy. I would not take my dog here again.

Nice and relaxing park. The dog owners are very kind. No trouble with any of the dogs. They are well behaved.

I wish they would have a dog station that had poop bags and trash cans.

I might not be the best dog park critic, considering that in the short 9 months since we rescued…read moreour dog we haven't been to many, but I really enjoy taking him here. There are two separately fenced dog areas, one for "small" dogs (35 lbs. and under) and one for dogs larger than that. As you would expect, the small dog area is slightly smaller, however, both areas are reasonably sized, with plenty of room for activities (Step Brothers... Anyone?)! But seriously, there's enough room in either park to be able to throw a tennis ball with a chuck-it and fir the dog to get some speed and work out that energy. We typically go pretty early, around sunrise before I start work. The folks I've encountered have all been friendly, and there's some "regulars" that I'm becoming familiar with. There seems to be an unwritten rule along the early birds, to take your pup(s) to whichever park isn't currently occupied, regardless of size. Now, I'm OK with this and follow suit, since my dog isn't very interested in other dogs, and is more interesting in chasing the tennis ball. That being said, it's a dog park for the public, so don't expect not to have to share! Besides, a little socialization is good for you and your animals! My only gripe is that a lot of people don't pick up after their pups, so land mines are aplenty. I do my best to make the rounds when I get there and clean up a bit, mostly selfishly so I don't get an unwanted surprises. I've never had an issue with parking, although the lot isn't exactly huge, but usually isn't too busy which is nice. I always take a peak when driving by and that seems to be the case any time if the day, any day of the week. I'm new to the area since November, so curious to see if it's a seasonal thing, and if crowds will increase as the weather heats up? We'll see! Nice little walking trail around the park, with a small children's playground. If you hope back onto Alderwood and head just a bit further (50 more yards?) there's another little park, a community center with restrooms, two half court basketball courts, two pickle ball courts, and a small grass area. I also take my son (I mean that in the literal sense, definitely not referring my pet as my child) to both parks and he always has a good time!
