Typical Goodwill located beside a grocery store in a small strip mall. The close proximity to the…read moreJubilee store and having a whole day to hunt for secondhand bargains is what lead me here. What I appreciated about this location is there was actually a comfortable distance between the clothing rows. Two people passing with carts was a non issue. The ladies clothing, although in abundance, wasn't truly sorted by size as indicated on the racks. The few pieces I picked out were out of place. Prices were in line with other locations. The men's section of shoes and clothing was very meager. Men's shoes were less than a handful. The ladies shoe rack initially felt unimpressive in quantity but there is more piled up on top of the clothing racks. Linens were plentiful but not labeled. To my surprise I found a luxurious complete sheet set (for one price!) with a high quality thread count for $5.50 that appeared to be brand new. However once I got it home and washed, discovered it's a queen short and doesn't fit. Would have been nice if it was labeled. To my surprise there wasn't any crib sheets, bumpers, or baby blankets, all something I'm looking for. The housewares were a hot mess! This is typical Goodwill but here it was horrible. The shelving was dirty, broken pieces were not removed so there were chards of ceramic and glass. As much as I love to hunt it wasn't worth the risk of getting cut. As far as this location goes I think their strengths are in kids clothing/shoes. Their sorting process eliminated stained items in this department more so than others. Many of the pieces were current and name brand. Sets were sold as sets at the same price as single apparel pieces. Throw pillows were also worthy of purchase. Although the selection was limited they all appeared to be new, of Target brand style and quality, and only $2.50 each. I wouldn't consider the drive from Lancaster to Lebanon to shop here worth it like I do for Jubilee but will be back during my next Jubilee excursion.

I personally know a woman who was helped a lot by this program. Because of their support, she did not have to abort her baby. In addition to great counseling, she received practical items such as diapers and formula. She was able to go on and get her RN. This program gives women a real choice because it offers help not only during the pregnancy but in the whole first year afterward. The counselors help women face their fears. Most women don't want to have to have an abortion, and this organization offers them real alternatives. I am glad my tax monies are helping women this way.
