I had my granddaughter with me that day which I had an emergency with her had to leave from watching the driver so I did not catch the damage he'd done at the time until I was leaving the house the following Monday that he put a big rut in my front yard with his tire and pushed the sod up so high I cannot mow over it I called them to ask them to come and fix the damage done and they said that their driver said he didn't do that but he saw me watching him the whole time so I'm assuming when he was watching me the whole time as he put the rut in the grass and he they refuse to fix it I would not have them do any other business for me ever or I would not advise it because they're unwilling to fix their drivers mistakes they're not honest nor upfront with it they told me that my neighbor was responsible for it then they told me to call the county where I live in and they were responsible for it not their driver everybody else but them was responsible I sure would like to know how they got to that conclusion so they get a zero actually a double zero ratingfrom me

The water supplied by the North Sewickley Sewer & Water Authority contains high levels of Total…read moreDissolved Solids (TDS). The U.S. standard for safe drinking water is 500 TDS, yet North Sewickley's readings have consistently been in the 700-800 range. When I called to inquire about this apparent violation of national water standards, I was first told that the authority isn't responsible for contaminants that may come from my home's plumbing. Fair enough--but I live in a brand-new house with brand-new PEX plumbing. Then the representative added, "Oh, I forgot--they've been flushing the water lines, and that can stir things up." I acknowledged that and said I'd continue monitoring my tap water daily. Now, a month later, the TDS levels remain between 700 and 800. In fact, the water quality has gotten worse.

I contacted this plumber regarding a property that has been winterized since 2020 and has not had…read morewater running for several years. Due to the condition of the plumbing system (potential corrosion, deterioration, etc.), I expected a cautious and professional inspection approach. However, I was advised to simply turn the water back on to check for leaks and system integrity. When I raised concerns about potential damage or flooding, they were not willing to assume any responsibility if issues occurred. Given the condition of the property, I was expecting a safer process such as pressure testing or a staged inspection prior to reactivating the water system. Unfortunately, that was not offered. For that reason, I chose not to move forward with their services.

May 2021: I had a plumber from a different company permanently disconnect my lawn…read moresprinkler/irrigation system, and West View Water Authority (WVWA) had to inspect and approve the work. One of my plumbers had removed the pipes, and then WVWA emailed me three documents about irrigation disconnection and a Residential Meter Setting specification sheet. I shared the documents with my plumbing company, and they sent a second plumber to my house to ensure that their previous work followed the specifications. WVWA then scheduled a serviceman to inspect my plumbing. (Tip: If you decide to permanently disconnect your irrigation system, I recommend that you first receive these three documents from WVWA to make the process easier, but my plumbers still thought that the documents were written a little confusingly.) The WVWA employee was courteous in her language, saying things like, "Have a super day and be safe!" WVWA did NOT give me an approximate arrival time, but the serviceman showed up in the morning. He also was very courteous, addressing me by my name and wishing me a good day. He spent a few minutes inspecting my pipes and meters, and my husband and I showed him photos of what our pipes used to look like. He asked me to sign a document that I would not reconnect the irrigation system without a backflow prevention device, and then he handed me a letter to confirm that my irrigation system was properly disconnected. Update: In November 2021, WVWA called my husband to notify him that the fire hydrant outside our house would be flushed and that the water might be brown. WVWA did not flush the fire hydrant until one week later, but at least it got done, and the water was not brown at all.

Market Square is a public space in the downtown area with a variety of shops and restaurants…read moresurrounding it. It was recently renovated just in time for the NFL Draft to allow more accessibility and better space for events. In the public area, there are some tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the area. They also seem to plan to have a lot more semi-permenant attractions in the space. Currently their is a roller rink (which is surprisingly affordably priced) . It has historically been home to the Holiday Market (which was moved into the theater area this year because of the construction). I hope the market does move back because Market Square was definitely the better space for it. There is plenty of parking nearby in garages, surface lots and street parking. The one downside is that it is really tough to drive through, especially with the way the renovated it. Drivers seem to be stopping to take in the new look or don't understand directional signage so there is often traffic backups.
