NACA does not use the credit report to determine one's ability to afford a mortgage. However, the org. does qualify based on behavior such as past payment history, analysis of income, ability to pay consistently, etc.. Much of this is reflected in one's credit report but NACA is more thorough. The process takes longer than a traditional mortgage or FHA loan. So be pre-prepared. Get all documents ready well before the decision to make an offer. NACA does offer preparatory guidance as well.

We were halfway through on our 30-day escrow when the appraisal, from our online lender, came back…read morealmost $40K under asking price. We knew the house was grossly under-appraised and later found out that it was common for these out-of-state banks to draw you in with low interest rates, but use conservative appraisers to protect their mortgages. After receiving the low appraisal on Christmas Eve, we knew we had to promptly switch gears, drop our current lender, and chose a local mortgage broker that could quickly pick up where we left off in the midst of the holidays. We had worked with Brian back in September on a house that we never went through on, but I remembered how gracious and knowledgeable he was, so he was the first person we reached out to. I called him the day after Christmas and explained our situation to him. Needless to say, it was the best/smartest decision we ever made! Brian was able to hop on board and get things moving FAST! He was able to get the home appraised within a couple days and with a local and reputable appraiser. Not only did the house appraise for purchase price, but Brian was also able to lock in a very competitive interest rate for us as well. We put our full trust in Brian, and we couldn't have been happier! That meant both my Navy Fed personal and business cards-among others. So I came into the only branch for miles and miles around with moms in tow. This review is strictly concerning Navy Federal and the Immaculate Reception/ Hail Mary experience I just received in there. Trust me folks when I say I'm no one special, but I sure came out feeling like the son of Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates-with some added melanin quite naturally! So the line to see a teller was practically outside the door. The presence of a Billy Dee Williams (that's a compliment by the way) looking armed security guard kind of smoothed things over, just in the event that hot tempers and hot heads would get too annoyed at what awaited them-a long, long, long line! The line was for a litany of things, ranging from the need to get a new ATM debit card like myself to any number of other issues that the client needed to have taken care of. Luckily enough, I ran across Lauren, who was for lack of a better phrase the ground traffic controller here! When she had a few seconds to breathe, she politely informed me that I could take advantage of an option within the Navy Federal app that would in turn allow her to go and print out a replacement card immediately! In less than 5 minutes I was out the door! Lauren is clearly the CSA or customer service all star of this experience. Thanks Lauren, you are the epitome of class, efficiency, and someone with a heart, and repped the NFCU brand in a top-tier performance!

She basically started screaming at me telling me she was "tired of repeating" herself. That's not my problem. When multiple tenants are involved sometimes information needs to be repeated. She refused to send me a copy of the lease and refused to schedule a walk through of the property. Anna Rodriguez is snotty, rude, lazy, unprofessional, and quite frankly, should be fired.
