The best place to get sober. Lots of meetings and fun people to keep you in step. Clean floors and clean bathrooms which has two. Even a play room for the kids . Come get sober here.

Let's start off: I AM NOT AN ALCOHOLIC and I'm grateful. I am reviewing this place for those that are scared to seek help. I did join them in their book studies to see what all this is about. To my surprise, these people are like you & me except for the additional alcohol addiction & sobriety dates. It was awkward in the beginning because I was the only Asian one in there. But it did not take long till people shared their story and made you feel welcome. I was fortunate enough to get to talk 1-on-1 with some veterans. They were not judgmental on my ethnicity and showed me that everyone is human. "Do not come to these meetings trying to look for differences. Come here to look for the similarities and together we will find a solution." --- These words may sound weird but it made perfect sense. People come to AA meetings to find the difference in the stories to prove that they don't have an alcohol problem, but if you see the similarities, there are people to help you. These meetings may seem religious and quote from the bible a lot but they are for everyone. If you are willing to listen then come by & join the fight again alcohol addiction! (: Oh, they also have meetings for drug abuse, etc. "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." --- Each meeting lasts for 1.5 hours ---

I'm very hurt with my last few interactions with this company..I inquired for different services,…read morethey claim to offer on thier social media and thier website and I felt like I was getting the run around and not given the full information or details. I do appreciate that they gave me a 40$ laundry card...when I went back to the laundry mat it was permanently closed. So I messaged the company to see what's going on and she responded with "the laundrymat is closed indefinitely, but I'll see what else we can offer you to wash". I never got an update for this.. I had to message them and ask again to find out that they no longer offer this.(glad i didnt hold my breath.) After the fire crisis I saw they posted something saying 'if your in need of food or household items message us or dm us" I did both...more then once (trying to set something up) and it was impossible. Clearly if people are in need, they are going to reach out to these organizations to see if they can help..but I just felt like I was begging and being an inconvenience with the way I was responded to when I told them I didn't have a way to get there. I even had 2 large bags of donations to give and I let them know...they never came to pick them up (but said they would). I originally was happy to have found something like this because I'm disabled and don't have a car so it's hard for me to get around, I'm not from LA either so it's not easy for me to take public transportation. Hopefully everyone else can receive services they promote and not feel like a bother. Im very hurt by looking at the past reviews and how easy it was for others to receive food deliveries "the same day" or "promptly". I feel discriminated against and like I was lied to and blown off.

They are really trying and helped some unhoused people i was trying to help. Thank you to everyone…read morethere who is helping...good food bank. Helpful for what they do offer. Wish they could house people...but unhoused can get a hot meal there and a bag sandwich lunch they said. There is a program so those who qualify can get a free phone and data plan. Dedicated staff. Since we made about 90 kits, she figured it would be best for us to deliver them to an organization that assists those in need, and she found Foothill Unity Center. Foothill Unity Center is a multi-service agency that provides services to individuals and families in need. Founded in 1980 by Josephine Anderson, the center has become a source for food, health services, and crisis assistance to thousands of low-income families in the SGV. The place is clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and gracious for our donation. It felt nice to do something good for others and give back to the community. The security guard on duty was an absolute doll - polite, friendly, and respectful. He made our day as much as we made his. They accept donations of any kind and you can drop off during business hours 8 am - 4:30 pm Mon - Fri.
