We were able to get a water bottle engraved and I've been using it daily ever since. I explored the space more and saw that they had several 3D printers, large photo/poster printers, vinyl cutters, sewing machines, laser cutter, metal and wood workshop, and probably more that I missed. Membership is free to MCCCD students, faculty and staff and they charge at cost for materials, which is a great deal. It's open to the public as well and they have membership options. Staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to chat with. I would love to come back and explore more of their offerings!

I just took last evenings Friday yoga class w/ Shylo - fabulous way to end the week. Shylo's class…read morefeatured a variety of poses, focus on breathing & all around good juju! She kicked off the class by giving us the opp to choose an oracle card. The card offered an intention we could keep in mind as we progressed through our poses. At the end of class, we could read from the oracle book about the card we pulled & the bigger message it was giving us. Shylo also prepped the room with a delicious scented spray + sage. Grounded32 is a community space/nonprofit where anyone can participate in different classes - painting, writing, drumming, yoga & others - b/c the goal is to bring people together in a positive spirit. Aka "eradicate loneliness!" This place has been on my radar for a few months - so glad I got to check it out!

Start from the beginning we came in was introduced wit Johanna, sorry if thats wrong, but we chose our bands and gems. She then walked us through step by step on the process of how to form the rings, and how to shape and round them, and not weld but the other word that I can't think of. I think that had to be my favorite part, the torches were fun to turn on and use. In the end we polished them up, and smoothed out the inside of the rings so there isnt anything that rubs against your finger. All in all, a time was had, she did mention a pendant class soon, and my girlfriend and I can't wait to come back and make more stuff!

I went…read morein with no expectations other than a curiosity for acting and was immediately met with Rachel's warmth, which made me feel so welcome and comfortable even though I was pretty nervous about getting up on stage. In the 8-week session, we covered a variety of acting techniques, played improv games, and had an opportunity to dissect scripts. I left each class inspired and energized! AZAA is a great community whose focus is to give you actionable techniques so you can begin auditioning within a few months of training! They have a variety of courses, workshops, and a Facebook group where they post auditions, all of which expose students to the full business of acting. AZAA is a truly comprehensive studio. If you are just curious about acting like me, or eager to begin pursuing a career, AZAA is the place for you!

Pip is located in the walking-only community so car parking is way off to the side of the apartment/shopping complex. The space is in a large corner studio and there is a cute little area with some pottery and art goods for purchase. Unlike the Pip and Clay in Phoenix, this one does not have a coffee shop inside of it. I took a class while a wheel-throwing class was happening and since there is no room divider it was a little hard to hear our instructor at first but that class finished as ours started. Overall, for the price ($55-$60 for 2.5 hours) I think you get a fun piece! This is my second Pip and Clay class and I certainly plan on taking more!
