Came here for a game last weekend and really enjoyed our time...my only shaving of one star was for the inside stadium concessions. The wait times were a little ridiculous 30-45 mins for a beer or some food. Luckily for us we tailgated before hand so we weren't dependent on the food but I did wait 30 mins for a beer and missed an entire quarter. Outside of that great venue and super friendly employees that were working there. Had a great time tailgating and was super easy to get in and out. Had great seats and had the opportunity to watch a great game. Love the student enthusiasm and cheer section was fun to watch. Over great experience and hoping they get the concession part fixed. read more

I mean, how do you give a review for a f'n stadium? Hahahaha! Um, this stadium is cool. This stadium is big. This stadium has blue turf...what the? This stadium looks like many others. This stadium...is well, a stadium. Hahaha! Ok seriously now. I went for the Garth Brooks concert, the ONE....on Friday evening with Blake Shelton. I was part of 43000 people who took part in the official.....first big concert on the famous....blue turf! I was supposed to go with a friend....who incredibly BAILED ON ME....THREEEEE HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW! Did she pay me for the ticket? Nope! I got hustled like a m'fer. I had section 26. I ended up trading the ticket for row 4, on da flo, right by the stage. I could literally see the sweat on Garth lol. Am I still bitter that this friend bailed on me with no time to find someone else? Am I bitter that she will never pay me for the ticket when I was promised she would go AND pay? I'm BITTER AF! hahahaha! Does that take away from the amazing experience I had at this stadium? At this concert? Now why would I wanna waste energy being bitter especially while at the show...even tho I sat there, by my lonesome lol. To give you an idea how amazing this concert was....ima tell you a "short story" ....we all know, I can never say "this gon be short" and have it be that way lol. Yurrs ago, I worked/ran a music store in Phx. We got concert tickets to anything and everything basically. Growing up, I told myself I would go to as many concerts as I could. I wanted that life experience and I wanted to see my favorite bands (ima 90s kid) from when I was a youngin and I wanted to see classic bands/artists....as many as I could. I also wanted bragging rights if ima be honest lol. Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, LIVE, Bush, Tori Amos, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Simon and Garfunkel, DMB, U2, Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Janet Jackson, Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Tina Turner, and many many others, I have seen. Am I bragging? Maybe a lil bit, haha! Simon and Garfunkel, I have been a fan since I was 3 yrs old. No lie. Mama told me I was instantly obsessed with them at that young age. When I saw them, I literally cried when the light came on and there they were. NEVER thought I'd ever see these LEGENDSSS! Garth rose up from the stage. I couldn't believe it; couldn't believe I was FINALLY seeing him after almost 30 yrs of wanting to see him. Am I comparing the greatness of S&G with Garth? Hell no! Both have their own special magic. I have a list of artists I've seen, a special list. Meaning, they can't be put in a regular list of great concerts I've seen because they were too amazing to do that. Like, no words can TRULY describe the unbelievable experience I had at these particular shows. S&G is right there on that special list and now, so is Garth. Crazy Babs, she's up there as well. Oddly, so is Gaga, Madonna, and a few others. Gaga and Madonna shows from years ago. Currently, I wouldn't go to Madonna. Too political and her new music is boo. Albertsons Stadium, did a great job at bringing this unbelievable experience for all who went. I've never experienced a show like the Garth Brooks show. Afterwards, I get home, roommate says "how was it" I was so overwhelmed with emotions, I couldn't speak. For real. I'm that pathetic hahaha! I feel music, concerts in a special way and Garth had that effect on me. I will NEVER forget this concert. I am still thinking about it and it was 2 weeks ago. The show started 2 hours late, not sure why. The power went out briefly, no idea why. Garth had the crowd in the palm of his hand. That's another thing. I've been to some pretty huge shows. Most crowds would be PISSED about the power outage. Not this crowd. Stayed happy and fun the entire time. Seeing 43000 people get along for 5 hours was truly a sight. Seeing them all sing his classics...again, got me all emotional. I'm telling you, this was beyond special! Ima run out of room, I better end this lol. Albertsons stadium is a nice facility. The management needs to be fired. In the last few years the entry process has gotten worse and worse. Security is a joke. People are cutting in line by the hundreds. Concessions take half a quarter. Exiting time has doubled since last year. The crowds haven't changed. Figure out your problems! You are losing piles of money because of your inefficiency, and frustrating season ticket holders and scantily clad college girls alike. read more

As a parent, the noise is getting out of hand. The sounds of country music and announcers sounding like it's blasting right in my backyard until midnight is pretty obnoxious. And inconsiderately annoying. read more

New sound system to loud for a hard of hearing person let alone a young child. Concession lines so ridiculous, if you want a hot dog, plan to sacrifice a quarter of game time. So much for the plastic only policy.....Very disheartening. read more

Went to visit here with my Husband, the volunteers in the stadium were very helpful, fun to chat with, and overall showed great hospitality. If you're in the area and don't see "The Blue", you are missing out. Football fan or not, it's definitely worth the visit read more

After over 2 years in Idaho, I finally went to my 1st Boise State football game. A group of 4 of us (my hubby, a friend, & his wife) went to the game on 10/19/18 against Colorado State. Kickoff was scheduled for 7pm. Parking: Ugh, the parking situation is a bit of a nightmare. It's very hard to find parking near the stadium. Even disabled parking is near impossible to find. While they have shuttles to take you from different lots to the stadium, it's still very far for someone who is disabled to get to. It's unfortunate. Parking is pretty affordable though at only $10. Security: Once arriving to the stadium you are able to get through security very quickly. The officers were all very friendly and efficient. They had a good number of officers getting people through the screening process. Ticket/Entry: Albertson's stadium had a lot of young (high school looking age) people scanning tickets to admit you into the game. These teenagers were all VERY friendly. They made small talk with the guests and were really delightful. It defines helped fuel the positive & fun atmosphere. 5 stars for them!!! Food/Concessions: They offer the standard nachos, hot dogs, & pretzels, but you were also able to get pizza cones, pad Thai, doughnuts, Cheesesteaks, & a brisket, cheese, & spiral cut potato bowl. My husband got the brisket bowl and he liked it a lot. It was a bit pricey at $13, but it's to be expected. They have a sweet version of the brisket bowl. It's a bowl filled with spiral cut potatoes topped with strawberries & whipped cream. It's so strange. It's good, but strange. When you take a bite, you don't expect to taste the soft center of a French fry. A lady in front of us bought one & had us try it. She thought that the potatoes were fried apples when she ordered it. Lol. It definitely messed with your brain as you ate it. Experience: The game was fun & the announcer was great. They interact with the fans quite a bit and hyped everyone up. Anytime Boise would score a touchdown they would set off fireworks! It was a great touch. I can't wait to go to another game! We all had a great time. Although I think we will Uber! Lol. read more

Albert had 4 Sons and they all pitched in and built this stadium. Hence they named it Albert's Sons Stadium. It's actually known as Bronco Stadium even though the Denver Broncos have probably never been here. However the Boise State Broncos and the Potato Bowl are here, so how awesome is that? Potato Bowl sounds like something I'd order off a menu. First-Hand Experience: Info on my personal visit to this stadium - I love everything about Boise, including this excellent stadium. It's a little pricy (the concessions especially) but the fans are great, the girls are stunning, and for some reason the air smells fresher in this stadium than it does in other stadiums. I don't know why. The turf is bright blue, I mean, how awesome is that. It could use a little work, but for my Italian American Goddess that brings me in here every time I'm up in Spud Country, for how much she loves it and makes sure that I love it, I have to give it a 5. I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 or 8 years. In that time, I've seen sports games at, or visited when empty (and usually both), at almost every major stadium in US and Canada. I have pictures of most which I will upload at some point. Also, on future travels, I plan to take new pix, and add more stadia! Watch this space! ***back to regular review*** Boise is one of the best cities to play concerts in (don't ask me why) even though the mall cops suck, and it's also one of the best cities in terms of crowd noise. This little 37k stadium generates such a ruckus that the guy from Breakfast Club could show up at any second and crack skulls. Plus the field is sometimes blue. Would never come to a concert here again. If you are going to open this up to concerts boise figure it out!!!! The most in efficient venue if EVER been to!!!! They only opened the gates to get in 40 minutes before the concert started. We spent to first to opening acts waiting in line to get into the place! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Great stadium holds tons of people the staff is ways great and it's always fun to catch a game and relax. Food is pricey but still good over can't complain with anything but if you like BSU you'll find your self here more often then not. read more

Bronco Stadium is just OK. The blue field is clearly striking, but if BSU is going to make it in a big time conference, they need some major upgrades. Permanent end zone seating is definitely necessary, and maybe don't have poles that block people's sight lines. A good rule of thumb for a stadium should be to make sure that people who've paid a ticket to watch a game don't have a giant pole blocking half of the field. Obviously a fun game and atmosphere, but the stadium itself could use some work. read more

I made my way to the Hall of Fame, and wanted to see the blue turf. It's free to check it out. It's a great hall of fame highlighting past trophies the school has won and athletes in the hall of fame. Unfortunately you aren't allowed to go onto the field after a few people ruined it. It's still amazing to see and look at all the seats and the awards. If you time it right there is the Bronco shuttle from downtown. read more

Wow. For such a small place, very pathetic crowd control upon entry. Stood in line forever before a game. And who cares anyway? It's just college football? Entire town comes out for it. Kinda ridiculous. I guess when you're from Boise this is the best it gets. Best part was walking through, setting off alarm with metal wallet in my pocket, telling the guy I had nothing in my pockets and him letting it go. Why slow down the process if it's all just for show anyway? The game. Whoa. The scoreboard person is on crack. They'll announce one thing, maybe a results update. You can Yelp Bronco Stadium?!?!?!? This blows my mind! I despise the BSU Broncos but the stadium is pretty cool. From the skybox to the field, the stadium is pretty cool. Food is super expensive and the seating benches suck but I don't hate it. If you ever get the chance to check out the skybox, do it! Some people are very inconsiderate- my GF and I drove from Idaho falls over to Boise. Went to Joe's Crab Shack spent 100 bucks stayed at holiday inn express 130 and spent 330 on 2nd row ( bench seats ) seats to the 2018 Fresno state game. And our row had a bunch of those individual chairs which either took up to much room or there were some fat asses in this row. Left at half time- never again. Most people don't understand this stadium. "The blue turf sucks" and "they are cheating" are frequent sallies. Thing is, we didn't make it to cheat. We made it out of creativity and uniqueness, out of culture and a bright idea. The stadium itself is a nice place, where there is no such thing as a bad seat. Just bring a heavy coat on cold winter games. The atmosphere is electric, with all the fans being louder than any average college game. Everyone is a local, and they are all really nice, which makes it a great place for visiting fans. Great place, and a lot of fun! read more

The Blue Turf is spectacular. I came on a weekday, and the stadium personnel could not have been friendlier. They allowed us to go on the field for as long as we wanted. Would love to see a game some time in the future. read more

I read the reviews and it is hilarious! You can tell the people that didn't like it are not football fans or hate BSU for the most part. Yelp there are certain things that shouldn't be up for a rating. As a college football fanatic (I been to roughly 15 college football stadiums nation wide) I can tell you since it is newer the facilities are top notch, and even with a sold out crowd it is easy to get in, out and around comparatively. It is top notch football. Only Idaho fans 0-12 in last 12 attempts or schools like the PAC-12 4-10 in their last 14 tries will tell you otherwise. They are just upset they keep losing. When people hate you in sports, you have arrived!!! read more

Experience for a football game is similar to going to a minor league baseball game, except this stadium has metal detectors at the gate. I guess they bring guns to the games? Don't bring a backpack, they aren't allowed. But bring a huge duffle bag, zippered tote or soft sided cooler because they are. Or roll your backpack up and place it in the tote to get in, then place everything back in after you enter like we did. Every timeout has a goofy contest that can't be won or blaring music coming out of the scoreboard (only speakers in stadium). Didn't appear to be much tailgating going on since the parking lot was half empty. Easy and scenic walk from downtown. Overall experience was mid major to small college atmosphere. read more
