Albertsons is usually clean and well-maintained, which I appreciate. However, the deli department is a different story. The manager there is rude and unprofessional. I've personally heard her disrespect her employees, constantly complaining instead of leading. Unfortunately, that attitude carries over to customers as well. When interacting with customers, she comes off as dismissive and rude, which really takes away from the overall shopping experience. I hope management addresses this, because Albertsons is otherwise a pleasant store -- the deli just needs better leadership. read more

I live locally. This is my closest grocery store. As its known Albertsons is a little higher priced then alternatives in California. What I do love about this story is they have a great selection, it's very easy to get in and out of the store. Sometimes it's worth paying a higher cost to get everything in one visit. I'm glad to have this store in my backyard. read more

This review is based on the bakery only. In the past two months I have used the Orcutt Albertson's bakery for last minute parties. All of my orders were placed just a few days before needed. Everyone I dealt with in the bakery department was professional and friendly. I was so impressed by all the designs which I left up to them, except an image I sent them over email of a castle. All the desserts were delicious, beautiful, and reasonably priced. Thank you for making my son's birthday, daughter's birthday, and daughter's baptism so special. We will definitely be using Albertson's for our next event! read more

I have only been to this store a couple of times but I don't see why all the negative reviews.. for us, the store is clean, well lit, parking is easy.. Fruits and Veggies are always good here, same with their meat selection. Employees are always happy and helpful, the pharmacist are always super friendly! very nice and friendly every time I go in. The bakery has awesome cakes there and the deli always has fresh food. Very clean, never see trash laying around beside me the restroom. that can get pretty messy. read more

After going to the Grocery Outlet, the new grocery store we've been burdened with, Albertsons is in comparison a fantastic store. They have everything you need and the brands are top shelf. Worst Albertsons by far. Horrible customer service horrible management and food is always expired. We didn't even realized it was expired till we got sick to actually look at the date. I went in to get some macaroni salad and not once but twice it was expired. I called and whoever I spoken with just told me to throw it away and just come in, I went in and a different manager told me I should have keep it and brought it in. First of all I am not going back out just to get a new Mac salad after dinner and second of all, I am not leaving expired food in my fridge when I have two young kids that digs through fridge constantly. I told one of the workers I will be calling to speak to someone who's above you and she basically laughed and said ok. I was harassed by an employee named Natalie after I brought an empty shopping cart into the bathroom so my baby wouldn't have to sit on the floor, since I didn't have his stroller with me. When I explained that I planned to disinfect the cart afterward, she called me "disgusting" and "sensitive." Considering the carts are stored outside where birds can poop on them, I found her reaction completely unreasonable. Tonight, the cashier, Jessica, was so condescending and unfriendly when I was trying to buy liquor (over $100) that I wanted to scream. She literally ID'd me -- mind you -- I do not look under 21 years old (trust me, I wish). She literally made me make (I had to call) my husband, who was sitting in the parking lot, to come into the store to show his ID because I didn't have mine. We pay at least $2000 per month in groceries. Then, we visit their pharmacy that, without insurance. would be $1750. If Albertson's continues treating customers, who pay A L O T of money to patron their store, like garbage, we will NOT EVER visit again. Just unacceptable behavior. read more

They had large chubs of ground turkey on red deal special. So, I bought two and put them in the freezer. Took one out and when I cut it open the rotten odor hit hard. So, I take both back explained what happened and she took me as a professional rotten meat scammer and shut me down hard. Knowing that I am not a rotten meat scammer I asked to speak with the manager. She too treated me like a rotten meat scammer. IDK how these scammers work but they must be the bane of existence to Albertsons as you wouldn't treat a long term customer in such a way. I also got to enjoy the off duty lady butcher in a heated argument with the on duty butcher over the meat case the other day. Even if the food isn't expired, I have had to return the half and half. Not a good experience for morning coffee. Service is not the best. A few good cashiers. I live nearby and went into the Orcutt Albertsons to pick up my prescription and to get an Albertson's gift card for a friend that is struggling financially. I looked on the kiosk where the gift cards are sitting but this is the second time I don't see Albertsons' store cards. I went to the cashier with my two other items I was purchasing and asked if I could buy a gift card. I was getting my wallet out and was looking down but when I looked up Brennan the cashier was staring at me and then says in a very snotty way with a headshake "are you going to get it?" I was absolutely stunned at the attitude. I replied "I don't know where they are". I I can't quite describe it in words the tone, stare, and headshake. He points to the kiosks and says they are there. I replied I didn't see Albertsons ones there. He then sends me over there all the while the line is held up and I look again and of course no Albertsons store gift cards. I come back and said again I don't see any. He then says "well we're out". I was so embarrassed that he was actually trying to shame me for requesting a gift card. I should have just left my two items and left but I think I was a little in shock at the rudeness. Also to clarify two months ago, I purchased a gift card for the same friend from the checkout cashier with no issues. As I walked away, I even said to I think it was Nathan who was bagging that Brennan's behavior was very rude. So Wow Albertsons is that what you're going to offer to customers? I am a fan of my neighborhood Albertsons! Orcutt store is in a convenient location; the shelves and produce are always well stocked; and the employees are mostly friendly. Best part of this locale, in my opinion, is the meat department: consistently excellent NY Strips and Ribeyes! Moreover, they have frequent sales on these steaks! I ordered food for pickup because I am not able to go inside. I asked the girl if anything was missing and when I got home, I noticed the potatoes were missing and I was charged. I requested a refund on the app and when I tried to order the potatoes again, the app requested a $4 fee. I called the store to see if they could waive the fee or allow me to pickup the potatoes because of their error. The girl on the phone was not kind at all and told me I was out of luck and nothing she could do. This was the stores error and they were not helpful or kind about it and that's why I'm leaving 1 star. Almost everytime we do drive up, something is missing and charged. Please staff up at your Starbucks. There seems to be only one person at all times and on numerous different visits, people just give up and leave the line. Maybe train others who can be pulled over when the line gets long. There seem to be plenty of cart retrievers and baggers who don't appear to be too busy. Drive up and Go - Our order was supposed to be ready for pick up at 4pm-8pm. We got an email at 3 05 saying the order was ready early. We showed up at 4 30 to pick up, called the number, and gave our space number. at 4:42 an associate came out to tell us they lost our order and need to re pull the entire thing. Albertsons cannot fill a delivery order correctly if their stock price depends on it. I just got an order I placed about two hours ago. I asked for three large cans of coffee creamer, got three cans of the smallest size. I ordered a box of four blueberry muffins, got a box of three mystery muffins and one blueberry muffin that looked like somebody stepped on it. This is about the sixth time I've used Albertson's delivery service and it's the last time. They mess up in one way or another every single time. My patience is at an end. What really hurts is that I tip more than 15% every time and this is the thanks I get: my order is filled by someone who just doesn't give a shit. We ordered for delivery, time between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. It is now 10:29pm, the website says order confirmed, and we have not received anything. I have been on the phone for over an hour waiting for a team member to pick up and no one answers and this is at "customer support". Supporting what? When I called the store number, they gave me the number for Doordash who has no record of anything. Are you kidding? Albertson's took our $84.00 and no one knows anything or will talk to us. Worst bakery ever! Made my order for a party weeks in advance, I talked it over thoroughly with an employee AND provided a photo! We got there the day of to pick up and they made it completely wrong. Mind you, I picked the most basic of sprinkles that every grocery bakery has. I asked for pastel not primary colors. That was it! The most basic of orders ever and they managed to screw that up.
