Dr. Eisenberg is a family member's hematologist. They had developed some health issues due to…read moreanemia, so the primary care doctor referred them to Dr. E. Although I'm not his patient, he treats me with the same warmth, respect and compassion he shows to them. His main practice location has an excellent phlebotomist who draws blood within the first 10 minutes of an appointment, and Dr. E. reads the lab results as soon as they're available and shares a copy of it with us (this is the only practice I've ever gone to that gives you lab results so quickly.) He can take just a few minutes to look over multiple tests and see what is wrong, which is impressive. (The location is more like a spa rather than a medical facility.) He will give each of us a hug or shake our hand after the appointment and isn't germophobic and standoff-ish like most MDs (and wasn't that way during the covid response either; very impressive!). He has that important quality, "the healing touch," that most doctors no longer seem to have or even care about. He is a true mensch!

I was also told that "the doctor would contact when he finishes looking at my case". So which is it? Did someone speak to me or does the doctor still have to review my case? Obviously, no one knows what is happening. By this point, I could be dead of cancer before he even sees me. Dr. Hooper thought my chronic cough was likely due to post-nasal drip, but my ENT disagreed and said the problem was more likely due to allergic-caused cough-variant asthma. My pulmonary function tests showed some deficiencies, but nothing major. Chest CT was normal except for some port-surgical scarring after left pneumothorax x2 surgical repairs and pleurodesis. I'm getting mixed messages from my doctors, but my cough is much improved after discontinuing Singular.
