Their selection of laminates, vinyl and hardwoods is great, and quality seems much better than in other stores mentioned above. Service was absolutely top notch - we were able to reserve enough boxes and underlay by phone, while also receiving a footage discount I wasn't aware of saving us several hundred dollars. The warehouse folks also loaded everything for us quickly. Overall, a great experience! If we redo floors anywhere else in the house, I'm definitely coming back here.

What can I say, I just love shopping at Timbertown. The staff know their stuff and will work with you on measurements and ordering to ensure you aren't left short or break the bank and buy way too much. Keep in mind you can returned unopened boxes as well. They have a nice simple display set out so you can easily see what they have to offer for hardwood, engineered, laminates and cork. What isn't in stock at the store can be available within a few days . Often faster than you may be ready for! They also have a good supply of trim, doors and vents. I like to shop here for a couple of reasons. 1-It's a Bowness business and I like to support Bowness. This is a neighborhood that has had a lot of challenges with flooding and for some the perception of being the "hood". Well I think its a great hood and I want to support its local businesses. 2-The staff know their stuff and they always offer helpful tips on install not to mention throwing a 10% discount in on orders over a certain $$. It may not seem like much but hey its 10% I don't gotta pay so I'll take it and say thank you. 3 - the quality of their products and a great offering of Canadian hardwood. You may get a great deal on an Asian imported wood but nothing beats Canadian products in this dry as a desert climate we call Alberta. Not to mention uniform lengths and widths. Not saying there isn't awesome stuff out of the USA but hey, support our Canadian lumber market please!

After…read morerecieving damaged/flawed flooring he offered to have it remade but unfortunately that wouldve taken weeks and would have cost more than 100k in office fees, not to mention all the scheduled trades wouldnt be available to finish the project on that timeline. So I had made a suggestion that if we had been compensated for the Hassel I could make the flawed flooring work by installing a herringbone pattern and double cutting the the frayed edging. Keep in mind this would take 3x or more the effort on the installer side of things but we could keep the project on schedule, he wouldn't have to send the carpet tiles back and have them remade, wouldnt have to redeliver the materials, or cover the costs of office rental which was 50k alone for the one work space. So in all saving Floors on Crowfoot a ton of money, the hassle of sending it back and having it remade, enabling them to save face and come out on top. The deal was 15% of the over all flooring to be discounted and given to the installers to cover the extra work load. The agreed upon number was 18k which by all means was an amazing deal for the store and the flooring manufacturers. After the job was installed and completed Darrell cut a cheque for 6k to go to the installers for all the extra work that was involved. Shouldve known better than to trust a salesperson. So buyer beware, Darrell is a liar and a theif and I would never spend a cent in this store. If your looking to purchase flooring go to Jondan's!! I would give 0 stars if that were even an option. This has been an absolute nightmare and easily…read morethe worst contractor experience I've ever had. After three failed attempts to complete what should have been a simple carpet installation, the job is still nowhere near acceptable. Every single visit made things worse instead of fixing anything. Their excuse? "We can't quote what we can't see." That's what I was told--when in reality they failed to properly assess the job from the beginning. That is pure incompetence, and it is not the customer's responsibility to make up for their lack of due diligence. To make things worse, the first technicians outright said the install should never have been done without removing the baseboards. Despite that, I was reassured by Kim Skow that everything would be handled properly as-is. That statement was completely false. The result proves it. They then had to come back and remove the baseboards anyway just to try to fix their own mistakes, causing even more disruption. I was forced to purchase my own baseboards out of pocket, and unbelievably, they still installed them incorrectly. On top of all of this, they damaged two door casings, ripped paint and drywall off the walls, and didn't even finish the trim on the stairs. This isn't "minor"--this is careless, unprofessional workmanship. This situation has cost me significant time, money, and stress--buying materials, moving furniture repeatedly, and dealing with ongoing disruption in my own home. Yet they continue to downplay everything as "minor issues," which is completely unacceptable. Now they're trying to push this as "job complete" while offering insultingly low compensation that doesn't come close to covering the cost, time, or effort it will take for me to rip everything out AGAIN and repurchase materials just to restore my home properly. At this point, it's obvious they have no accountability, no quality control, and no intention of making things right. Avoid this company at all costs unless you're prepared for repeated failures, property damage, excuses, and paying out of pocket to fix their mistakes

Our concerns with Dang Good Furnace Cleaning are that they left our entire house a mess when…read morecleaning the ducts and furnace of our home July 29/26, and that the workers reported following company procedures when they did not. Virtually every surface/object in our house was covered in dust and debris by the time they left. The mess was extensive: chunks of lint on blinds and lampshades, dog hair blown to the top of a kitchen cabinet, dust embedded in crevices of furniture, and bedding was covered in dust. Everything stored downstairs in the furnace room had to be cleaned - even luggage. Because Dang Good had 2600+ 5-star reviews, we didn't think it was necessary to closely supervise the workers, so we didn't appreciate the full extent of the mess until they left. And it is also why we assumed that we had fallen for a scam, and didn't lodge a complaint to the company. However, when the owner, Mark, followed up a week later looking for a 5-star review, I relayed what happened. He sounded surprised as their procedures require covering ducts with plastic to create negative airflow which prevents dust blowback. He said he spoke with the employees who indicated that to the "best of their knowledge" they followed procedures: meaning that they recall covering 23 unique 1950's style vents with plastic, removing multiple screws from every vent in order to blow high pressure air into it, and then reattaching each vent when complete. We can attest they did not do this, and failing to do so explains the mess. Mark wanted to return to see our house, but we declined as we had already cleaned and it wouldn't change anything. Our money was refunded, but it's small consolation as it took us hours to clean our house and our blinds will never be the same. Our 1-star experience is far from the company's 2885 5-star reviews on Google, and we think people should be aware, because a Dang Good team may misremember making a mess of their house, too.

Each project went smoothly, on time and on budget. Each time the product recommendations gave a fabulous result. My most recent project with Kings was completed at the end of April '18. A vacant rental condo - I had to be out of town the day of the install and I was a little nervous. But Sales Rep, Guy, handled everything. I gave him the keys a week ahead of time, his long-time crew did the install, he arranged a plumber to re-fit the toilets, he inspected the job & emailed me photos, and when I got back in town a week afterwards I picked my keys at the store.
