The overall look/feel of the store is similar to any Albert Heijn, my purpose of visiting this store was to return my remaining plastic bottles and cans for the statigeld on the final day of my trip to Amsterdam, it was fairly easy to get in and out of the store, and find the machine. The staff members seemed friendly, and spoke English, the self check-out machines also had an English option so were very easy to use. Again with AH pretty much having a monopoly on the grocery scene in The Netherlands, there isn't really much to compare the prices to, but the prices seemed in line and no more expensive than other Albert Heijns around the city. 4* - Pretty good Albert Heijn, it was clean and easy to find what I was looking for, and the location is pretty decent too.

This is the ultimate Asian grocery megastore in the Amsterdam area! One of the biggest perks here is the sheer size and accessibility. Unlike navigating the tight city center, this location has wide aisles, massive cart space, and--best of all--ample dedicated parking. It makes doing a massive kitchen restock completely stress-free. Wholesale & Bulk Items: Huge bags of rice, bulk sauces, and restaurant-sized pantry staples you can't easily carry home on a bike in the center. Extensive Frozen Section: Massive row of freezers packed with dumplings, bao, dim sum, hotpot ingredients, and seafood. Produce & Fresh Goods: A sprawling fresh section filled with hard-to-find herbs, Asian greens, exotic fruits, and fresh tofu. Kitchenware & Gifts: An incredible cookware section with woks, bamboo steamers, rice cookers, ceramic tableware, and tea sets. Don't skip the fresh food and bakery items! It was very convenient for me and I came here a number of times during my stay. As a neighborhood grocery store, it has the basic goods for any household as well as a good selection of fresh fruit and breads. The Albert Heijn brand items are usually a bargain and still pretty good products. I got my stash of snacks too :) Come here if you have to have your herring fix and you just can't wait until morning to go to the local fish market. The store does get crowded after work in the evenings. Don't forget to bring your own bags!

But I think that is normal in supermarkets nowadays :( I rather go to the big Albert Heijn in the Ferdinand Bolstraat or to the AH in the Rijnstraat.
