This Albert Heijn location is branded as AH XL, located just outside Westfield Mall of the Netherlands, in Leidschendam, it is a large supermarket, open daily from 7 am to 10 pm.
For tourists, Albert Heijin is the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands, it's pretty much a brand you can't hide from and it seems they have stores everywhere you look with almost 1000 stores in the Netherlands.
This was one of my favourite Albert Heijn locations that I visited during my 2022 trip to the Netherlands, mainly down to the size of the store, it reminded me much more of a large Tesco back home in the UK, with a good range of products, that although seemed a little pricey, weren't as expensive as the convenience style AH to-go stores in the city centres and train stations.
The layout of the store was very nice, I liked the bold lettering and the overall look/feel of the store, with sections for key products including cheese, bread and wine, the store also has some nice features such as being able to slice your own bread. Sadly the trademark Albert Heijn freshly squeezed orange juice machine was unplugged with no explanation, with no alternative offered.
I didn't notice any staff members on the shop floor to ask for help when needed, so I had to find what I was looking for on my own, I got there eventually.
