Very sad to report. We've been going here for 6 years. Recommendation from a close friend. We came here specifically for Jeffrey, he always has the best conversations and made us feel at home and gave great advice especially for us with little knowledge when it came to taxes. He also told us we can always call him if we had any questions and he would answer. He always took his time. He was amazing with us. But unfortunately he got sick and his son took over doing our taxes. Now it's the total opposite, no conversation, no advice no nothing. Just straight silence and straight to the point and out we go. Which I know works for other people but for us we always leave unsure and questioning everything. This year we unfortunately owe on our taxes. Once the paperwork came in we had so many questions and concerns. We have tired to call/emails to get at least some questions answered but seems like they always want to charge us for any little advice we need. Seems like they want to charge us to even to step through the door. We are already struggling to get answers ourselves but it's sucks. We will figure it out elsewhere. Steer clear! They took our money without really listening to our needs. As new small business owners I feel we were taken advantage of and I should have trusted the red flags I felt in this all being too easy. Because our specific situation wasn't taken into account the way they set everything up ruined our ability to advertise our business or post jobs because our LLC name doesn't match our business name - which was my #1 question and topic of discussion during our setup meeting. After reaching out with our difficulties, they did offer to help try and fix the situation and it's been well over 7 months since then. They ghosted us until trying to poach new clients on my Facebook post looking for a new tax person because our previous (AEJ TAX) had screwed us over. I responded to Mechelle's post offering "great services" to ask what had ever happened to setting up our DBAs. That was over a month ago. Every request for update since is answered with a literal "I have no update." I mean this is laughable. One could not be more unprofessional - which is how they've been from the beginning. Said they would send an invoice, they didn't. Said they would send a tax form , they didn't. Lots of words and no action. I should have looked at reviews before accepting this referral from our friends. We are still feeling the hurt from their mistakes and their lack of concern, urgency and help is astonishing. read more

Just submitted another year of taxes at AEJTax! Been long time customer with them. Every year they are always very helpful and take care of you! You can see everyone working hard and their staff always on the phone taking calls. I did notice a review from Gia who claimed to have a bad experience. Unfortunate that was the case, but with all my years as a client I have never seen anyone disappointed. I've made many connections with other clients in the lobby, with their quality of work comes a great atmosphere and staff. I just had to post this review. After not feeling good about my current tax preparer I was looking for a replacement. A friend of mine gave me the number to Albert Jefferies Taxes. The lady's at the front desk are professional and handle all your questions and concerns. Very nice office , they even offer snacks.Knotts Shortbread cookies. Bottles water. I have been getting my taxes done by Ron for several years. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the IRS and I received a notice of intent to place a lien on my property. I called the office and left messages twice explaining what the letter said and expressed my concern. I mean seriously, when it comes to your hard earned money and your property, that's a TERRIFYING letter to receive. After being a loyal customer for YEARS, this man didn't return my calls. So, I give him the benefit of the doubt thinking something may be wrong with the phone so I faxed everything I received from the IRS to Ron expressing the urgency in needing to address what was going on. Still, no response. This is totally unacceptable for someone who has handled your financial matters for years to conduct business when you desperately need them. I even called AGAIN after sending the fax and left another message. No response. I suggest finding a tax preparer who will be there if there is ever an issue, especially when the IRS gets involved. I can find anyone to simply prepare my taxes, that's the easy part. They're totally not dependable. read more
