This place is like Disneyland. It shouldn't exist, but it does, and the world is better for it. How is it possible that I look forward to visiting a tax office each year?! My girl (now wife) didn't believe me when I described it more than a decade ago... god forbid she ever left me, I'm sure our paths would cross here again, come tax season. read more

We were referred to Julia over 15 years ago for tax services. The staff is always very friendly. This place is kinda like a mullet ( business up front and party in the back). They know that taxes can be stressful so they do everything they can to help you relax while preparing your taxes. Julia always likes to keep her clients informed about upcoming tax law changes. During the review she will make suggestions to help her clients take advantage of tax breaks. Her advice has always been very helpful. Julia will whip her clients into shape if necessary!!!! read more

Outstanding experience with Dewey McDonald & Carrillo. This place is not your average come in, sit down, wait your turn, hurry up and leave type of place. It's always full of positive energy, good music and friendly staff. I have been a client of Julia's just under a year and her knowledge of asset protection, taxes, stock market, etc is so vast. She makes everything easy to understand and follow along. From her cadence to her charts to her amazing attitude and real life scenarios, she is a real, down to earth person who is passionate about her career, her employees and her clients and it's infectious. Staff is great. They take the time to understand your situation and the best routes to help your best financial situation.

We switched to Dewey, McDonald & Carrilo, Inc. last year after 30+ years with our previous accounting firm. Julia & Sarah (et. al.) are the real deal and are far superior to our former accountants in every way. The office environment is second to none with a welcoming staff, warm enviting atmosphere, delicious cucumber lemon water (or something stronger if you wish) that puts you at ease in a potentially stressful time. This sets the tone to sit with your initial consultant who sets up your business/ personal returns with creative and helpful entries which, while staying within thue rules, takes advantage of things that only the most savy professionals are aware of. Then your return is sent to the colorful and fabulously telented accountant, Sarah, who helps to finalize the return(s) again with tremendous insite, advise and suggestions. All this coupled with reasonable prices for the service and you will leave feeling confident that everthing that could be done was done to make sure that you pay no more than what is owed. We are happy to provide them with an enthusiastic 5 star review! read more

Julia and her wonderful staff are very attentive, professional and treated some of their clients to a fun movie today.....

I've been going to this place for years and they have been amazing. Julie and Sarah help me get the most from my taxes and are extremely helpful. read more

Julie is a FRAUD... JUST ASK THEM... How many audits they had last year and the year before that. When they say they will support you, THEY will NOT. Charged thousands and sent us away to start over. Was a client for several years. Said they do QuickBooks - show up with my flash drive and sure enough the staff is clueless and says they don't use QuickBooks. $450.00 rip-off. please do homeowork before you get involved with this company. read more

We've been going here for over 25 years. DMC started as our tax prep co., and are now our financial advisors/investment reps as well. They've always treated us like family. We get updates, quarterly calls, and are kept up to date on financial changes and projections. Before we found DMC, taxes and financial advice was a nightmare. We feel very lucky to have found Julia and her group at DMC. Looking forward to many more years of business together. read more

Been doing my taxes here for years and have always had great service. Not only can you get your taxes done but they soften the blow of having to do taxes with any drink imaginable including mixed drinks. Ok read more

Dewey McDonald & Carrillo - Front lobby - Tax Services Near Me - Upland, California

We were with them for 18 years and then last year Julia does our taxes and tells us matter of fact that the office was hacked and we'll likely have identity theft. Without giving us any time to process this crappy news and have a little time to decide what to do, she blows us off and rushes us out of her office because there were people waiting. She was so mean and rude, it was really sad and disappointing. They really don't value their clients one bit. Then the nerve to charge us $450 after all that. I called to cancel this year's appointment and before I could explain why, the sister said ok and hung up. read more

Not your boring CPA. Wouldn't trust anyone else w my finances. Amazing staff, fun and professional. Been going here for close to 15 yrs.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! Off of a friends referral, I sought the firm out to help with what had to be a massive mistake made by another tax preparer on our 2022 return - threatening to relieve us of something in the 5 figure range I was lucky enough to get a very quick appointment and impressed does not even come close to describing DMC. The associates, the atmosphere, the positivity, the hospitality and the immense ENERGY just envelope the newbie upon arrival! Sarah and Julie are the absolute best, your tax numbers are checked by several different people and you are provided with very useful insights into investing. (BTW, the mistake was found within minutes)! From the bottom of my heart, I LOVE DMC! Already have our 2024 appointment made!!! read more

Julia and her staff are a delight to work with! I have been a client of Julia for nearly a decade and she (and Sarah) have always taken the time to make sure my personal and business tax returns are done on time, and just as important done accurately! On a personal level, Julia is a really funny and sweet person! Anytime I have called her office with a question, Julia or Sarah take the time to call back and clarify my concerns. Keep it up! read more

Referred by my one of my closest friends. Absolutely couldn't recommend better. The process for checks and balances is the best. You have multiple reviews of your returns before it is finalized and everyone is incredible about explaining what they are doing or where they see something to be changed or edited. Love Julia and the entire team. The make tax season less painful for sure. read more

Comprehensive accounting and financial consulting services. Been using their service for years with outstanding results. Highly recommended. read more

My husband and I used them for a couple of years and made the trek to Upland from Torrance because we liked Julia. However this year everything has changed. There has been so much miscommunication and unprofessionalism from this office this tax season. The lockdown has been hard on everyone, but they sure do let you know how difficult it has been for them this year. Filing taxes with customers digitally should not be that hard, but for some reason they are not able to handle it well. Also, the level of inexperience exhibited by their employees is not something I would ever pay for. You shouldn't be shouting into a phone with your customers, maybe try getting off speakerphone. Also, don't assume your customers don't know anything about taxes and give false information. Its a business, please try and be credible. We are done with the struggle. Good bye! read more

As far as taxes and investment strategy you can't beat this place. I have been going here for the past 15 years. Julia has an awesome personality and makes the business fun to go to. The whole staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable. Appointments are set up in advance, and I never have to worry about missing a appointment because I get a notification from the staff one week prior to my appointment. And in the same week of appointment, I get text and phone calls three days straight to remind me of the appointments. All businesses should be conducted I. This manner. As far as the investment portion of the business I can not be any happier. I was investing with other bigger companies, and they didn't have my best interest in their hands. They were looking for their commission without representation. Julia is on top of all the trading strategies, and is in contact with you as the market changes. Other money managers and those said big companies weren't concerned how the changing market would effect me. I have brought a Majority of my friends to this business and they have the same reaction There taxes have never been better. read more

Terrible customer service I am so frustrated and upset at how unprofessional and money hungry this office is they treated my wife and I so poorly I wouldn't advise anyone visit them. They claim to be so busy and act like they are doing you a favor when filing your taxes when in fact they up charge you ridiculous amounts of money they pretend to be so nice and caring till they no longer are. Avoid at all costs I was recommended here by a family member and I wish I didn't contact them. read more

Went with my family and absolutely got the worst service. This agency was rude and tried to over charge us. I saw one of the employees drinking beer and not being serious. They are unprofessional and need to be shut down. I will never go back to them and I strongly advise anyone trying to do their taxes not to go there. They are not upfront about their prices and they will try to switch it up on you last minute. Please do your self a favor and don't go to this place. Horrible experience. read more
