It's easily 85 degrees or more In the room and they told us the air conditioning is not on yet! Think twice before booking here!!

First, there is no vehicles allowed in the area where the hotel is located it is pedestrian only. It took me over an hour to figure out that I could not drop off my luggage and then park my vehicle. Once I found the parking area the shuttle only takes you part way, I had to walk up steep hills with two pieces of luggage and through the shopping and restaurant area. No help with luggage was offered even after I arrived at the hotel The a/c in the room barely works, thedouble bed is two twin beds pushed together and the pillow is flat If you have no luggage and a car you might want to stay because of the location but there are other hotels in the area that appear to have parking and a view

On my amazing trip to Italy a few week ago one of the stops for 5 night was this "5Star Hotel"…read more While Location is amazing, what happened to us and other guests was absolutely unacceptable and completely ruined our vacation. On the second day of our stay we have noticed that someone has tempered w the safe and when checked we found that some of the money ( in dollars and euros) were missing. When we reported to the management we were told that it is not possible and that they will check cameras in the hotel. 2 days later we are told that there are no cameras anywhere near the room or elevators and no one can track activities there. We left w nothing, No apologies no compensation for the money that was stolen. Nothing. To top that, when a few days later we saw the post of another couple that stayed in the hotel during the same time and was also robbed, the respond of the management was cold and absolutely unapologetic. Both of us were dismissed and since we are from another county they feel they can get away. Please be aware when you booking an expensive room at this hotel. Watch after your belongings, cause clearly the management of the hotel doesn't care!

Our room (#205) was considerably smaller than EVERYONE else's room - I have no idea why we got the shoebox. Single bowl sink. No vanity - none. No tub - just a tiny/cramped shower with an odd step-up & down entry. The room did have a nice sized terrace with an excellent view. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, something for everyone. Our only gripe was coffee service. It was slooow. Perhaps the pots for each table were brewed individually/serially? Will we return? Probably not. We prefer to be closer to the center of Taormina.

The breakfast buffet is quite good with everything clearly labeled and if you're gluten free it is very clear which foods are best for you. My room was small but the bed was comfortable and the Internet signal was strong. I loved sitting out on my balcony looking out over the garden and neighborhood. The downside was that there was no coffee or teapot in the room and the bathroom was minuscule but updated. The shining star of this hotel is the rooftop terrace. Grab a drink and sit out here and enjoy all that Taormina has to offer.

I would definately stay here again. Great value for money, do not be alarmed by the two stars of this hotel, it is worth way more.

Our maid service would forget to clean our room, not change dirty towels to clean ones, wouldn't clean the floors, or wouldn't change our cups/spoons for days unless harassed to do so. To prove a point, we left our dirty towels OUTSIDE the room in the hallway and the maid brought them BACK in the room from off the floor. Ridiculous! Furthermore, the staff was confused except for 2 employees. We had major issues at check-in where one employee said one thing and the next contradicted what the former said. As you drive to the hotel you pass through a beach parking area/facility where in this case there was a mountain of garbage on the side that you had to see each time you pass and there was an abandonded building that detracts from the hotel's otherwise great image and location in the city.
