I just moved from California where I had access to the top of the line waxing salon called Pink…read moreCheeks. I was nervous going to someplace and someone new. I decides to give EWC a try since it had really great reviews and they use hard wax. Mandy did my Brazilian the first time I went and I was wonderful! The next time someone else did it and it did sting a little but despite using a topical numbing agent. I highly recommended going to Mandy at EWC, especially if you have a low pain tolerance. I have a high pain tolerance fyi and when I used anyone else it hurt. Also you might want to check out PFB Topical Anesthetic. Apply it 10-15 minutes before you wax and it will take that sting out. It has 5% lidocaine which is the max OTC. If your a beginner the worst part is the anticipation of the pain not the actual pain. Also look for an exfoliating brush. It has a wooden paddle, not sure what the bristles are made of but it helps to prevent ingrown's. I haven't had one since I started using it. Use it 2 days after you wax and use soap with it. Then use the EWC gel/cream that prevents ingrown's. Also, to help with the pain prior to waxing don't have anything acidic and no caffeine and take some ibuprofen about 20 min before you go in! Hope this review helps! I definitely recommend Mandy!! Plus she uses baby powder which makes all the difference in the world :)

I was referred to Mercy by a respected person in the beauty field. I showed her the desired look I wanted for my wedding. She assured me that she had experience with mature skin along with 14 years in makeup artistry. Mercy charges $500 for wedding makeup. I paid $330 for her deposit. The day I had a makeup trial she was 45 minutes late. I left the trial very disappointed. The makeup was nothing like I desired for my wedding day. It was extremely thick and cracking. I even had a chunk of makeup fall out of the corner of my eye. I went straight home and washed my face, I was so disappointed. The next day I sent Mercy a text asking for another trial. I told her I felt the look was too harsh for my liking. It took her 7 days to get back to me. She stated she wanted me to get a spray tan prior to my next trial. I thought all makeup artists can match skin tone and a spray tan isn't going to change the application but, I agreed. I asked for another appointment. Seven days later I still had not heard back from Mercy. I was becoming very stressed because my wedding is fast approaching. I just want to look and feel confident on my wedding day. I decided to cancel my contract with Mercy. I sent her a text to cancel and within 15 minutes she responded and was happy to let me know my deposit was non refundable. I highly advice any other brides or ladies looking for a makeup artist to do a trial before signing a contract. Especially with a business person that doesn't honor and respect the happiness of their clients.
