Not flashy but comfortable. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Lots of parking. Close to downtown. Airport and AMHS terminal shuttle. Reasonable rates. Near the cool whale statue. The location is incredibly convenient--just minutes from the Juneau International Airport and with easy access to all the main roads. Whether you're coming in for sightseeing, business, or outdoor activities, this hotel serves as a perfect hub. We drove by the Super 8 and the Wyndham Travel Lodge and each looked sketchy. Juneau doesn't have a wide selection of hotels, and Aspen Suites clearly sets itself apart. It was, by far, the cleanest and friendliest property we encountered. The rooms are well-maintained, and the staff does an excellent job keeping everything spotless. One of the big advantages is that the hotel offers air conditioning--something not all places in Juneau have, which can be a big plus during the warmer months. Also the Kitchenette allowed us to shop for food and save on "eating out". The hotel also features a large, clean, and well-equipped laundry room, which is incredibly useful if you're on an extended trip or coming back from Alaskan adventures in need of fresh clothes. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous, and while the building has three floors, there are elevators and multiple luggage carts available to make check-in and check-out smooth and efficient. If you're visiting Juneau, I highly recommend considering a suite at Aspen. The extra space and amenities make a big difference, especially after a day of exploring. Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and great service--all at a very reasonable value.

We choose Beachside Villa because of it's great location and awesome views. Our room, the penthouse, had a private porch, which I love for being outside with a glass of wine in the evening. It also had this fabulous tub which 2 people can get in, so that was fun! The tub ended up being a real blessing because we were doing so much every day that we needed to soak sore muscles! There was also lots of nice hot beverages in the room.

Dale and Honey Bee Anderson, the owners of the gorgeous lake-front property just outside of downtown Juneau, know how to run the perfect B&B. This was my husband's and my first B&B experience, so we were nervous about feeling like we were staying in a stranger's home. This was unnecessary--Dale made us feel like we were a part of the family. He and his extended family run the B&B together, and they really think of everything, from the continental breakfast (Dale was kind enough to even pack us a breakfast/lunch for our day's adventures at our request), down to our room's amenities. They even provide a computer for complimentary Internet access, plus a canoe if you'd like to row out to the middle of the lake for a relaxing picnic! The house is beautiful and very clean. Our room was the gorgeous Lakeside Suite, which afforded us sweeping views of the lake and mountain in the distance. The rate was incredibly reasonable at $135 per night. My husband and I had a fantastic time at the Auke Lake B&B, and we'll certainly be back again!

First of all it's not clear that the tent sites do NOT have their own area. It's kind of just a bunch of tent areas. Also each tent site does NOT have a table or it's own fire ring. The tables, water, fire ring are all shared. The website's map shows that the group camping is further down but it's all in one place. This would have been maybe ok except that I was the sole camper camping with a massive group of teenagers. All of their stuff was everywhere. The group had taken over the entire area. I would have had to constantly ask them to move stuff just to eat my food or use a surface to cook. You know what's cheaper? Mendenhall campground. It also has very clean very free showers, your own site and it's close to a laundromat. If you're by yourself or just a few people go to Mendenhall. If you're a giant group then Nalu might be for you.

My wife and I have booked our fifth consecutive trip there next July in 2027. Casey and Carson were our fishing guides and they excelled. Mikaila and I may have spelled her name wrong is a delight as the host in the dining room and a participant in the polar plunge. As a side not Darryl wrote a book about a lodge in Alaska called "The Safe Choice" that is excellent reading for anyone that has a business or just wants to learn how to properly treat people in life. I highly recommend making a reservation to go there next year as it sells out quickly.

And I can't say about the beauty of Pybus Bay and its surroundings. It's literally take-your-breath-away. We had an amazing time on all the excursions, including lots of deep sea fishing, seeing the glacier up close, watching humpback whales and orcas and seal lions and seals, hiking, flyfishing, and more. The food was great! Very tasty, unique, but not too unique, if you know what I mean. And lots of it! The accommodations were superb. I don't know if I've ever stayed anywhere with a better shower! You wouldn't think they would have really hot water and great water pressure at so remote a location, but they did. And I mention that, not just because I like my showers, but because it was emblematic of the attention to detail in every aspect of the experience. In can't recommend Pybus Point Lodge enough!

The lodge is small but that's what makes it so awesome. No more than 40 people there at a time. Family style dinner served in the lodge offering grilled salmon was delicious. The herb biscuits were wow. Got the recipe to make later. Got a visit from the local bear, Hans. He sat in the tree by the grill patiently waiting until we all went inside and was allowed to climb down. Had a small souvenir shop and a short trail walk if you chose to do so. Lodge overlooked the Taku glacier. Awesome place. Flight back was a little shorter but offered different views and more flyovers of different glaciers. Highly recommend.

Saw 5 different glaciers & lots of beautiful Alaska wilderness. The lodge is quaint, warm, & rustic. The lodge workers had made a delicious homemade lunch for us. Fresh grilled salmon & lots of sides including homemade biscuits & bread. It was very tasty & you could tell they cook with love. I loved there was a fire going & lots to see at the lodge. It was so quiet & relaxing. The lodge workers were so nice & inviting. The pilots were very friendly & they had a nice narrated tour on the way to the lodge & back. Truly a once in a lifetime Alaskan experience. We loved it!
