Not sure why no one has come up with an idea like this before - it's one of those ones that's that…read moregood, you kick yourself for not coming up with it. Pulling out a bathroom and putting a whole new one in is expensive and pretty messy. What if you could have the same effect but for waaaay less hassle and money? Chris comes in, re-grouts the place and does whatever is necessary 'cosmetically' so it actually looks brand new shampoo. I was moving out of my rented place at the weekend and had to get a sink replaced (the tap fell off and cracked the bowl in a bizarre poltergeist-like move). Chris was in and out in a couple of hours, after replacing the sink, and re-grouting the area all around it. It looked absolutely perfect, and is a testament to his work style - he seems to be a perfectionist and will go above and beyond to make sure the place is gleaming before he leaves. He hit on a few plumbing problems when he was in the middle of the job that he also took care of, swiftly and easily. What I liked most about him though was that he was honest about the work that needed to be done, not pushy at all, and definitely great value - not out to rip anyone off. All in all a brilliant idea and service. Just wish I'd thought of it! Back to the drawing board so...!

She gave them a call, got a price for the thingy and then sent me packing with a slip of paper with the details of the bit we need. I promptly lost the bit of paper. So, on I went in and told the guy what I need ... his response was not to laugh me out of the shop, he just smiled and said "ah, the thing that looks like a chip basket... no problem". Utterly brilliant, a specialised shop (plumbing supplies), with staff who are used to dealing with non specialised / normal members of the public; a genuinely rare thing and brilliant to find.
