Of the two watches I brought in to have fitted with new batteries (€40 value), one was returned with a deep gauge in the watch face that was not there before. Having brought it to the attention of the sales assistant I was told that initially they would accept responsibility for the damage and repair the watch without charge, I was then contacted by another staff member and told that offer would not be up held. I am enraged by what I consider negligence and lack of customer care. I'll be taking business to Weirs or another specialist in repairs and suggest you do the same.

My issue was not with the jewelry itself but with the two young female attendants that I asked for assistance. I was very obviously American and a tourist since I told them I was from California. I told them I was looking for 14k jewelry pieces, but they told me that they only carried up to 10k. They then proceeded to speak to each other in front of me that I "must be looking for gaudy jewelry." I can say for a fact that nothing I was wearing was showy, bright, or tacky, so I deduced that I was instantly being pigeonholed into the "American tourist" stereotype. I left and went to R&C McCormack instead, where the customer service and jewelry were much better.
