I've been Dr. Adler's patient for two years, he's simply the best. He's knowledgable, reliable, thorough, friendly, responsive/supportive and consistently goes above and beyond. I was w dr adler for two different deliveries. 2013 my delivery did not go to plan at all, biroshack sp sorry delivered and emergency c section and it didn't go to plan at all. My second delivery in 2017 was a scheduled C-section but my daughter started to come before that. We went straight to a c section and it all went so smoothly. Dr adler really cares and pays attention to detail, great bedside manner. I always felt at ease, they moved to new offices and the wait time was way down and staff was great too. My former ob/gyn no longer takes my insurance so I had to find a new one on the fly. I found Dr. Adler through my insurance network site. My experience has not been great. It's not horrible, but not great. I've had two visits with him and each time it was a very rushed visit. They just want you in and out of there. I was in the middle of a question, and before I knew it I was out of the doorway. It seems like he is so busy that he has no time to answer questions. The only other thing that I am not feeling great about is that he doesn't seem to provide you with an explaination of why. So if you like to understand what's going on or how to prevent/manage whatever issues you may have, he would not be the doctor for you. Again, I think it's just because he is really busy and doesn't have time, either that or he hates his job. Lastly, the front office staff are horrible. They all have terrible attitudes and the most unhelpful people ever. They can be really nasty, brash, and hast. They've lost my paperwork twice. Anything I've faxed to them they claim to never recieve. They are truly horrible. They have no idea what they are doing. I am in the process of finding a new ob/gyn. read more

My first experience with Dr Adler was when he called us while my wife was 7 months pregnant. The prior doctor who was arrested for fraud and lost his license apparently gave our private medial records to Dr Adler. One night he called and wanted to know if we wanted him to deliver our baby. I was taken by surprise because I have never had a doctor solicit me directly. When I questioned who exactly was calling me, he began reading from the records and told me so. I thought there were laws pertaining to confidentiality. I called up to obtain copies of our medical records afterwards, and was told they were in a box in NJ somewhere as the were from the old doctors practice. I explained that was not the case as Dr. Adler physically had them. He had told me that he assumed the old doctors practice, and told me he was reading them when he called us. The office hever called me back to obtain my records, and I had to have all new tests performed at my expense. You can't tell people two different stories, and then simply ignore them. That was the first and only time I have ever had a doctor cold-call me for surgery. Draw your own opinion.... read more

I was a patient at this office for four years. I was looked after by Dr. Bohn, she left the practice and then Dr. Trentacoste, who also left the practice. I was never notified that these doctors left until I called up with a question that needed to be answered or to make an appointment. There was no letter, no phone call. Just an abrupt member of the office staff telling me they left. It is insensitive and a horrible way to treat patients. The people who pick up the phone are under qualified and very unhelpful. I tried calling up for medical records and i was given a two day runaround and I still have no answers as to when or how I will receive them. I changed doctors and will never be a patient here again. I love Dr. Adler and the rest of the team of Drs. They were great to my daughter. Their receptionists need to be retrained. They don't know how to speak professionally to their patients and they are very rude. The only reason I would go to this practice is the Drs Don't expect to be treated well by the receptionists. I have visited Dr. Adler 3 times now. Yes, it can be difficult to reach his office over the phone and I am usually put on hold for a few minutes. However, I am a huge fan of Dr. Adler and the staff. They are friendly and courteous, and Dr. Adler has always been very warm and professional. I was looking at a cord blood brochure when he came into the examination room, and I casually asked him his opinion on the procedure. I was surprised and pleased with his answer (you'll just have to ask him to find out!). I appreciated that he took the time to give me a genuine answer about a topic that had nothing to do with why I was in his office that day. Unfortunately I never got a chance to see Dr. Adler at his Brooklyn Heights location because after 90 minutes of waiting past the time of my original appointment, he disappeared. His nurse was sweet and very apologetic. To date, I've had no call or request to reconcile such a wanton disrespect for my time and $$$. Dr. Adler has been my doctor for five years. He always takes the time to answer any questions I have, and he's even great when I call the office with a problem. The office is also state of the art. They use awesome tablets that I think help them keep all of my medical information straight and organized. Highly recommend him!!! read more

I really like Dr. Biroschak, but the office staff is not helpful at all. She called me almost 3 weeks ago about scheduling a hysteroscopy to remove cervical polyps, and she told me her assistant would call to schedule. I never received a call so I called the office, and left a message. A week has gone by, and no call back. I called again today, and left a message for her assistant who is out of the office. I'm beginning to think I should take my business elsewhere. I'm already nervous about the procedure, and this is not helping at all. Additionally, when I had my mammogram, I received two confusing messages from her office from two different doctors about needing to come back in for another mammogram. When I called the office to request to speak with my dr, the person taking the message chastised me and told me that I already received a call back about my results. When one receives two voicemail messages only with conflicting information, I'm going to still have questions and will need to actually speak with the doctor. I mean, it's not like I want to deal with going back in for another mammogram, and these people made the situation even worse for me. Other issues: charged for a blood test (nearly $300) that I did not have. Check your statements! read more

A personable doctor who provided good medical care, but the administrative part of his practice is a mess. He requires you to leave a credit card imprint on your first visit. I assumed this was to make sure he got payment if you refused to pay a bill, but the office doesn't send out bills - they just automatically bill your card. In my case, they billed me for money I am not responsible for, according to my insurer, and now I am spending time and energy trying to dispute the claim. I'd go elsewhere, because who needs these kinds of issues? read more

I've been going to Dr. Adler for several years now and have had about as pleasant of an experience you can have visiting an OBGYN. He will take the time to talk to me about any concerns I'm having and overall my visits never feel rushed. The longest I've had to wait for my appointment was about 15 minutes. Dr. Adler and the rest of the doctors Kurtz, Kassenoff and Biroschak in the practice are excellent. I feel so lucky to have found them (highly recommended through other doctors). Recommend coming with a list of questions for your appointments. Also, FYI you will see all of the doctors throughout your pregnancy, but that also means they have coverage for you to see a doctor who knows you and is familiar with your medical history from beginning through delivery and beyond, not a resident, RN, etc. read more

I have had a top notch experience with Dr. Adler and the whole practice. Dr. Adler has a great bedside manner and gave thoughtful responses to all my questions throughout my pregnancy. He was extremely patient during my labor and really provided the best experience. I have visited Adler's office once and dealt with their front desk on three occasions, which is four more interactions than I ever would need or desire with this ridiculous organization. The receptionists are unskilled and have extremely poor attitudes. I have been put on hold a countless number of times, and have stood there waiting for an exorbitant amount of time. They are incompetent - I asked for a copy of my results and provided 2 different fax numbers on various days and neither receptionist was able to successfully fax my results. They have an online portal, but cannot email or upload results to this portal. The reception area is dirty - lighting is dim, chairs are stained, magazines are strewn across the area. Not what you'd expect at a doctor's office. The examination rooms are dirty and outdated, and floors by the trashcan have trash that never actually made it to the can. Dr. Adler seems competent, but distant, providing very little explanation or time for questions. His bedside manner is undesirable - his call to me was abrupt and inconvenient, considering I was at work and not able to ask the questions I needed to. This is not a practice that I would trust with my healthcare. read more

I have had the grave misfortune of being a patient at this practice for nearly three years. My husband and I - young professionals who have NEVER had a problem with doctors - left the office this week disgusted by the practice in general and by Dr. Adler very specifically. Throughout my pregnancy two years ago, Adler was dismissive and aloof. This was our fourth child (we had the other babies with another practice) so we were relaxed parents and tried to be patient throughout his rushed appointments in which he made disparaging remarks about the female anatomy. (*note: had this been our first pregnancy, we would have been horrified and extraordinarily in the dark - as this man doesn't like to spend time answering ANY questions. He views this as a colossal waste of time). We took his rude and abrasive behavior during the pregnancy to be a symptom of the always-crowded office he runs (which, I should note, is FOREVER running behind schedule). But in this week's experience, we can be patient and forgiving no more. We've been foolish and stupid for too long, Adler performed a procedure in which he repeatedly hurt me and then admonished me for crying, insisting it shouldn't be hurting me and that I shouldn't be dizzy, that the problem was mine and not his (he said this as he noted he never saw anyone bleed so much). He proceeded to admonish my husband in the hallway for asking a nurse for pain medication for me and for asking when I would stop bleeding. Making matters worse, both Adler and his colleague Dr. Kurtz refused to answer any questions my husband I had, refused to explain portions of a medical report, despite extraordinarily polite requests to do so. This recent debacle comes on the heels of a litany of bad experiences in the office: rude receptionists, dirty exam rooms and bathrooms (spilled urine, used gowns strewn about - yuck!) and cramped exam and waiting rooms. Dr. Kurtz also likes to share his political views during pelvic exams (!!!!) This practice is beyond belief. We've been the fools to stay with it for so long. If you are in the shoes we were in- seeking out a practice that both delivers babies and takes your insurance and figure since they do both, they'll be good enough, trust me when I tell you to RUN and not to walk away. Keep looking for another practice!! Also note that this practice can't seem to keep partners. More than one has left the practice angrily and in tears. Do your homework and take the advice of a couple that stayed with the practice way too long and is now still bleeding, still in pain, and feeling stupid for having failed to trust our gut instincts sooner and left the practice years ago. Don't let any Park Ave. address or any good (planted) reviews fool you. This is a practice to steer clear of if you value your health or the health of a loved one. read more
