My husband made an appointment with this company for someone to come out and measure up to give us a quote for 3 blinds. The appointment was made for a Friday evening at 6.30 pm. Unfortunately this time came and went, still we waited in thinking he was just delayed. At about 8 pm my husband rang the company, there was no explanation as to why no one had turned up or even telephoned to apologise. The girl on the other end of the phone said she would ring back ten minutes laterno phone call. The following morning I rang to see if there was any reason for this to be told by a rude receptionist that the area manager should have rang back and had we missed his call! When I explained this was not very good customer service all she could say was the guy in question was from Bradford ( I am in Sheffield) and that it was eid, which is irrelevant because this appt had been made a week earlier. this company wants closing i had my blinds fitted and when the fitter left i found a burn mark on my new leather settee i confronted him about this and he denied it but i do not smoke and my daughter had been in that morning to clean for me has i am a 70 year old pensioner she had wiped the settee down and their was no burn mark there he came again to fit 2 more customers blinds who i had recommended before i saw the burn and i approached him again he turned round and said i had probable done myself with a screw driver i have phoned the company on several occasions only to be fogged of by the receptionist m y living room blind is held up by 2 screws it is a 6ft wide window i am just in the process of ringing again for someone to come and fix this my ex partner had the same blinds and they fell down the screws are not even in properly it took ten minutes to fit all three blinds do what i have done get in touch with trading standards i had to tick one star but it should be -1 read more

would like to tell of my experience with Alam blinds. The blinds were measured inaccuratley. The appointment to fit the blinds was cancelled leaving me to wait a further three days, the receptionist said this was due to delay in stock. But when the fitter came l was told that there were not enough fitters that day. To make things worser the fitter left my bedroom window out. When l rang again they were only concerned with mone yand said that there was a cost for it to be done. l spoke to the uncle who said he was in charge, he was very rude and wouldnt give out the contact details for Mr Alam but took my my number and said they would contact me. I am still waiting Mr Alam for you to contact me. Frustrating staff and l ally upset at how I have been treated by Mr Alam treats his customers. I recently contacted Alams to provide me with a quote for new blinds. An appointment was made and Maz arrived on time on the due date. What a pleasure he was to deal with. He gave me the quote, as per the flyer which I had received, and then advised which alternatives were available. He did not push at all to upgrade - however I did opt for the patterned blinds. An appointment was made for the fitter to come. He arrived on the day agreed and although I was not at home, my Mother tells me he was a very nice and pleasant lad who did a fabulous job. On arriving home I was overjoyed at the quality of the fitted blinds and I have no complaint whatsoever of the fitting or measurements. I am completely happy with the purchase and customer service which I received. In the future when I require new blinds for the conservatory I know who I will contact. This company has NO star rating but this option wasn't available. It is the WORST company I have ever dealt with! The fitter failed to turn up twice for his appointment and didn't even 'phone me to say he wasn't coming. When I spoke to the manager he was rude and unhelpful. I sent an e-mail to the owner of the company informing him of the bad customer service I had received but I didn't get a reply. The receptionist informed me on more than one occasion that the owner, Mr Alam, had the matter in hand and would be in contact. However, I continued to hear nothing and she finally admitted that she had not been open with the truth and he actually had no intention of resolving the issue! Regrettably, I am left with no other option than to warn other potential customers that this is an appalling company which is interested only in the money and doesn't care at all about the service it provides. read more

Well, I am surprised at reading the adverse reviews of Alams Beautiful Blinds. I couldn't be happier from the initial visit of the adviser to the fitting and fitter. I made my enquiry on a Saturday, the adviser came on the Monday to discuss my requirements. There was no pressure at all and I was not forced into purchasing what I couldn't afford. A very fair price was agreed and the blinds were fitted to my conservatory on the Saturday. The fitter clearly knew his trade and his care and attention was exemplary. Both the adviser and fitter gave me a courtesy call shortly before arriving. I have no connection with this company, just grateful thanks for a job well done from start to finish. The company is based in Bradford and I live in Beverley East Yorkshire, not 'just around the corner'. So full marks Alams Beautiful Blinds, I shall use you again when the need arises. I had 5 blinds installed, the fitter was punctual, polite, professional. He had completed the job within the specified time and i was able to carry on with the rest of my day without worrying about it. They cleaned up after themselves and did not leave until i was satisfied with their job. I highly recommend this company to others who are looking for blinds to be fitted. read more

We have had our blinds fitted today (28-4-11) bought and Fitted by Beautiful blinds, the name suits they are beautiful. Done with profesion too the sales man was very polite as was the fitter we would recomend them to anyone who is thinking of having new blinds fitted and the price is cost efficient too.
